I mean there almost has to be a ranged type class, but then again what you say is true so the only conclusion that I really can come to is a hybrid class that is both melee and ranged.

Unless the 5th major class is a hybrid type class that uses both ranged and melee type weapons.

I couldn't even picture a monk wearing any type of mail or armor at that. Probably cloaks and shrouds i'd say.

id really like to see a bard despite the fact that its never going to happen haha.

The Archer/beast tammer thing is really an annoying class in my opinion, i view it as an eyesore so if they do go with that i really hope they pull some very creative skills out of their horadric cubes to make up for what is a pretty dull achetype.

    Again, just my opinion.

I agree completely. The sterotypical Hunter class gets boring, very quickly. It comes to the point where either your pet becomes way too overpowered or the class becomes way to easy because you let your pet tank while you sit back and fire off arrows.

I'd like the "Ranger" class to be more in tune with nature along the lines of multiple types of pets and elemental based skills, maybe a tree based solely on Ice type ranged arrow skills and another on Fire?

The bard is also a very interesting fellow =P

I wouldn't mind a mix of a ranger type class along with a shapeshifting class like the druid.

It would be pretty cool having one skill tree having to do with ranged abilities using a bow and arrow, another tree having to do with shapeshifting skills for melee and another unknown tree maybe having to do with summoning or passive abilities of some sort. It would sorta be like the amazon of d2, being a hybrid with the melee javazon or ranged bowazon.

My main issue with synergies was that, while leveling you were putting points into a useless skill that only helped way after you got your main skill and atleast with re-specs, you're able to put your skills into a leveling build rather then shooting for the long haul, then re-spec to whatever spec you'd like after you hit a certain level.

posted a message on New Class: Monk
Yeah, I haven't really been active on these forums or any forums at that. I'm also not too sure if anything has already posted about a "Monk" class before, but I'd like to put my input out to see if you guys would agree.

I'd deff. like to see a new "Monk" class, it wouldn't have to be named the monk but would have to have the general aspects of one. A monk class would use hand to hand combant along with the ability to use staves and other similar weapons.

It's skills would have some pretty cool auras along with some martial arts skills similar to what the assassin had in D2, but also very different in the way that they are completely different classes. It's auras would give buffs to itself along with its party members, maybe a healing aura, AOE, +dmg or maybe even +ias. I think a monk class would be pretty awesome xD. So what do you guys think?

A martial artist would deff be cool, like a monk class with auras and stuff like that. He would be able to use hand to hand combant along with using staves and things to that nature along with a plethora of healing, damage and other cool auras. I think it would be a pretty awesome class xD.

    What do you guys think?

I'd like to see more / better gameplay. IDK about you guys but after a while, D2 feels as if it gets very repetivive and things like that. I would love to see more quests or bosses that are hard enough that you would need a good group of friends to beat.

I'd also love to see some new skills or maybe even a re-spec system being introduced.

posted a message on Blizzard and Microsoft Xbox?
Well I'm willing to throw my two cents in as well...

As it seems, most of you hate the possibility of Blizzard games moving to a new Nex-gen microsoft console, but in my honest opinion, I don't see the problem. There's unlimited potential with these newer consoles, just imagine what else can be done on one. And it's alot easier making games for one specific console rather than having to take into account, the hardware of the many PC's that are out there. Some of you may have some great PCs but some may not have the top of the line graphics cards and processors that we do.
