i wonder if any of the lower level legendary non-weapons will be viable end game. weapons will almost always be saught after the highest level since skill damage is based on weapon damage. but rings/amulets/armor? in d2 the stone of jordan (level 29) and bul-kathos wedding band (level 58) were a few of the almost-always best rings in the game..... granted thats because they had +1 to skills, maybe they will have something that keeps them viable end game again

200+ legendaries at launch is a large list of items. I'm not sure what you're looking for from them.

at least 3/4 of those, if not more, are not end game items. the way they described inferno, that you would have to farm hell to get to inferno, then farm each act of inferno to get to the next, it just doesnt seem like there are enough end-game weapons to prove that method of farming.

plus i was teased when they initially launched the items page on the d3 website when they had all the stats, there was at least 350+ items. then they took the stats off, then slowly started removing items and the list is what its at now.

this is EXTREMELY disappointing. when items were first released on the d3 website, there was more than DOUBLE these amounts of items. i mean theres only one level 60 hand crossbow? like this literally CANT be the final list of items. i dont care if this stretegy guide was from blizzard themselves. there is WAY too few items. legendary and set. especially if theyre saying you will have to farm hell for act 1 inferno, farm act 1 inferno for act 2 inferno, act 2 inferno for act 3 inferno, and act 3 inferno for act 4 inferno.

with all that farming demon hunters get ONE hand crossbow? no. this cant be right.

For god sakes man, please read subsequent posts before flaming. Fool.

sorry, i fail to see your point. if youre refering to the point of there being random named legendaries with random affixes, if you scroll up to the first post on this page, youll see jays response that there are no random named legendaries with random affixes because that is no different than a rare. there may be a legendary that has all its stats random, but it still has a set name. if youre refering to another post, i dont see it. i was simply stating that it was a disappointment that the list of items on the strategy guide was so small.

The idea behind a cit/slow build was what i was thinking too. having a passive extra 10% crit along with building 3% per second can make for a good bit of crits. and obviously you need some slows for later difficulties.

personally, i think ferrets (companion) are more of a low level skill, as in inferno you will need that 'lazy skill' for something that will keep you alive. vault (or) smokescreen i believe will become a NECESSARY skill also for when caltrops doesnt work. hell even in beta enemies walked through caltrops pretty quick. did you try it on scavengers?

also, unless you plan on just laying caltrops out the ass, i dont think the 'discipline replenish' rune in multishot will do you much good, best be used elsewhere. entangling shots rune will be nice for quick regeneration, but when face with multiple enemies, i'd rather have the extra 2 mobs slowed from chain gang, or the increased slow duration to get some distance

    Ferret is for farming

    Vault is for game progression.
The discipline replenish on multishot is not only for caltrops, but also the vault. I suppose while building the skillset I was thinking cow level. One multishot with repleneish will instantly keep discipline at full. which you can use to vault away a few times and reset up a few caltrops along the way.
And I do kind of plan on always having caltrops down, as that is an extra 10% crit.

you.... didnt pick up vault in your build

i like how people are linking polls to peoples FAVORITE character. just because one class is lowest on peoples favorite character, doesnt make them the least liked. just means they arent the favorite

posted a message on Closed Beta Players - "One of the Chosen" Feat of Strength
that is some serious BULL. a feat of strength is one thing, but awarding people with a sigil based upon random draw where (probably) millions of people never got in? i was opted in, i entered a ton of contests, and never got in. thats LLAAMMEE!

should be the opposite. people who did the open beta should be awarded something for participating, because there was no limit who could play. it wasnt based on some rinky dink 'if your lucky' system

as long as in-game tyrael has the 'etheral' style voice where it slightly echoes. if its just plain like the animated short, THAT will be a disapointment.

posted a message on Now that in-game names matter much less, what are you guys gonna name your toons? -Satire
My character names will remain the same. Am i disapointed that my character wont be defined by her name, but by my battletag? yes. is that going to affect my total outlook on the game? no.

yeah this mildly sucks. but put your big boy pants on, stop your balling, and play the game

Wtch Doctor. I would go as far as saying i hate this class. it really is a class that you either love, or dislike. theres (almost) no middle ground. it just seems like such a lame class. i mean honestly, were fighting hordes and hordes of demons, fighting for our survival as a race, theres death everywhere...... and THIS guy is sitting there blowing darts from a straw, throwing jars of spiders, tossing frogs, and lighting bats on fire..... THIS guy.....

one does not just walk into inferno....

but in all seriousness, you will need to stop and grind if you are stuggling and cant beat content. one person may go norm to end of hell without dying once, another may get stuck in nightmare.... it all comes down to the player (and gear, of course)
