Well, thanks sammyly02 and arkeband, glad you guys got the same idea, and backed it up.

On another note, what do you guys think of my post, just for the hell of it?

"This is a lore/storyline interface suggestion.

Throughout Diablo and Diablo II, I always loved hearing the different NPC's talk, and tell me something new. Diablo II improved on this with being able to click NPC's to talk, to hear about new and past quests.

My suggestion is that in Diablo III, there is some sort of Lore/Storyline interface that could do two things:

One: As quests are found and completed, or new areas are discovered, (along with possibily just footnotes and different lore wanted by the developers to be added in with no specific place to add it) there could be a screen page by page depicting the story as if it was a book. Now yes I know there is Cain's journal, but something that would be in game, and either from the characters point of view, or just from a complete overview. (I favor the overview of all sides, rather than someone specific) This would be like the storylines in the Diablo II/Warcraft III Manuals, just as the game progresses, and the actual games storyline. That would please a lot of people I believe, as well as press on the story from the developers to the community. Not to mention a place for developers to enter in lore, with no specific place to put it in, without coming up with a pointless NPC or anything to explain it.

Two: Very simple, be able to listen to all NPC talk at any point, instead of always just running to the NPC, Not for hearing new quests, but just to refer back to what they said. Or for listening sake."

I'm just saying that "contributing member" should be the only criteria for this competition. I dont really want to win, cause I dont play WoW, but I can think of a few people that deserve recognition for their contributions in the past. I have a firm belief that our past contributions were taken into consideration by the Diablo 3 design team, and that if it weren't for our constant presence, Diablo 3 my have never come to fruition.

That being said, I doubt someone with less than 100 posts will win.

Well first off, (And though I think my contribution is valid, not saying this because I think its the best or anything, just stating this.) If the contest is based on creative suggestions, then the most creative or innovative etc should win. If it is random, well hell thats just chance. If its based on if they use them, well thats up to the developers.

As for your firm belief on contributions taken into consideration, thats cool if they were, though I hope they were valid, but I know that Blizzard does things right and has their plans, and always gets their games to the highest standards.

Also, Blizzard responds to fans, and overall wants and needs, and would not do something that everyone would dislike and is not for theirs or our best interests.

Blizzard, does also do what they want and have their own ideas. Especially for the fact that the diablo story arc is not completed and they want to complete that with the game, which is to say they were planning on doing diablo 3. And of course working on it.

But to say Diablo 3 may never have come to fruition if you or other forum posters hadn't said anything. That is the biggest bull I have ever heard. The biggest. And only proves your own egotistical megalomania. Biggest amount of bull I've ever heard. Wow. Wow. Made my jaw drop at that insanity.

Being a diablo fan, or any fan, doesn't have anything to do with Forum posts. Did you consider or ask if I read diablofan.com a lot. Even then, reading diablofans.com doesn't make me a fan. Playing diablo and enjoying it makes me a fan.

The fact it appears your trying to say, is that I don't post on the forums at all, so I don't deserve to get a prize they that they are giving away. Well the forum post was not made for those who post a lot, or for the people (i.e. I'm gonna guess you) who spend a lot of time on the forum all the time. Well it wasn't. Clearly stated its for Creative suggestions about the game, hopefully being forwarded to the developers. Its feedback.

So I'm reading d3fans like I read it normally, see that, I jump at the opportunity to

    A. Put forth a creative suggestion, something I felt would be good to be in the game.

    B. I am a diablo fan, and I do play wow, a tyrael pet, would be appealing to me.

You post more often in the forums, so your thinking you deserve the prize more than me, when this is all online, pretty much anonymous, and you know inkling of anything about me, as you stated I have very few posts. Your using that fact, to try and say you are more of fan because you post more in the forums. Well that doesn't make you a fan.

That makes you a forum poster.

I don't really care to continous this, I hope you see my point. If you do great, no more problems. I'd rather spend my time doing constructive things, heh, or playign Diablo 2 or wow, rather than post.

PS: when I said you think you deserve it more than me, thats not to say I deserve it more, I know that I don't know you, and that you may be a fan more so than me. Even still, all people are equal.

    Storyline! Storyline! Storyline!

I read through half of the entries for the contest. Did anyone forget about the storyline, lore, and the world around you? Apparently.

75% of people said something about Trading, Pvp battleground oriented matches, or an Auction House. Or more so something about the economy.

I haven't played d3 yet, but its already been stated that there is an invasion of sanctuary. Hell is breaking loose literally. Theres not gonna be an economy where people come to trade their wares and items around. Its not a d3 thing. Your trying to turn WoW (an MMO, and I love me some wow) into d3, and its NOT d3. Thats what makes d2 special. It wasn't like any other blizz game. Your a hero, (or villian) running around with other people trying to save the 'world'. The best loot, weapons, and things, are not gonna be sold. Their gonna be kept. There is no bank, there is your own cache of items, and things you have collected. Even if there was some sort of Auction House, it couldn't be multiple towns, and it couldn't be unique items, or super special items. In a lore sense, people wouldn't go sell these things, they would be priceless in the diablo world. WoW is a great game but its an MMO, and MMO's mess with storyline and lore, and take the fun out of the storyline. D2 managed to do all kinds of cool stuff, without doing that. So be realistic about it. You had fun with D2, you guys spend so much time on D2. You played it without an Auction House, or Bank, or economy trade whatever. And unlike WoW, anyone could get the drops, percentage could be low, but you could find them. And there is a single player mode. So be content with that, they will give us an amazing D3, but don't try and ruin the storyline and lore, or ruin it for yourself by trying to get an Auction House. That would cheapen the game so much.
