Do you want a fucking Diablo game or do you want a good action-rpg without looking to its title?
Every day blizz explains something they removed.I hope at the last they will explain they removed the title also.
I'd like a D3 game that I can jump right into with both feet and have it feel like a step up. I don't really want to look at tired old grainy graphics any more. from what I have seen of D3 so far, I look forward to it.
Of all the action/rpg games I have played D2 is the only one I kept, but it is getting boring...again.
I played both videos side by side, I like the original better, the modified version is more grainy and darker but I prefer the sharper graphics. what is the point of it even being 3D like that, if I wanted the grainy graphics I could just stick to D2.
I gotta knock off D2 for a few days, I was just playing it with my peripheral vision while watching a movie. I would rather D3 not look like D2.

Yeah, too bad you can't get into any of my games because you are not my friends list and don't know the password. LOL
I would say that 85% of the time I am in Private games just because of PK trolls. If blizzard wants me to play with people I don't know and trust then something is going to have to change!! I was PK'd just the other day because I got whacked in the back of the head while fighting Diablo, pretty cheap and annoying. he even waited till D was almost dead so he could finish him and take the drops! One of the FEW public games I played in and I got cheap shotted imagine that!!
A good example is I have had enough keys to open all 3 uber portals for a few days now. I'm waiting for there to be enough of my friends on to make all those key runs worth while.
Great stuff! Adam Sessler is on my wall of heroes now along with the team at Blizzard who know exactly why they made the right decision on the artwork!!
If we could buy runes and items that were actually useful from the NPC vendors gold would be very important for someone like me who does not have hours and hours to devote to finding this item and that rune or whatever.
one thing I never liked about D2 is that there was never much reason to have tons of gold on hand, all I use it for is buying potions and resurrecting my mercs.
you know what? every single thread on this entire site has someone complaining about something or another, why would people want d2 characters back in d3 in the first place? we've played them to death, all of us. I cant wait to start a character, one at a time and see their ins and outs, i also can't wait how different skill trees will be developed for barbarian, thats another thing... Theory: There's a reason why only the barbarian is back: he (whether you play as him or not) is gonna be key towards the game, basing this on the fact that the male barbarianis the same barb from D2, only remains to be seen...

And i think you are right the "Barbarians" being the defenders of mount Arreat and the worldstone in D2 likely has someting to do with their return in D3. However, they did say that they have been "re-envisioned".
I'm most happy with what he said about the corpses disappearing. It may drive up the system specs, but I've been thinking about getting a new graphics card anyway.

there will still be corpses on the ground, but I'm glad to see they are still fading out too. I could just imagine the memory and clock cycles it would take to have all of Baal's slain minions fully rendered in 3D on the ground all the time!! Or even all those zombies in the opening minutes of the game play trailer. that was quite a few dead 3D objects.
Well I think that D3 looks great, it took Several views of the gameplay video to see it all, every time I watched it I saw something I missed before. to me this says that it will be much more engaging to play.

I thought the contrast in the dungeon looked very good, you could see enough to make your way through it but it still had the feeling of being in a dungeon.
PVP duels are fine and should stay, But those little PK trolls that come up behind you when you are fighting diablo and whack you in the back of the head, NO. Possibly the most annoying thing in D2 even more annoying than the maggot lair!

I'm right there with you, I sandbagged on this site starting right after d3 was announced and finally registered.
now it's like everywhere you look, there is someone flaming about this graphic or that opinion.

I would bet you could also see th paladin return in some form, (knight,crusader,ranger,whatever)
