Hey guys long time no see. I got a request for you, a friend of a friend of mine is participating in a 'weatherman contest', the winner gets to do the weather broadcast on dutch national television with a professional weather woman (or whatever they call it). It's a simple "stem!" (=vote!) button located here: http://jijvshelga.bu...ry&movieId=349# (the top one, not the bottom one). Thank you!

How is everything here, I still see some familiar faces on this board :).

I'm not a big fan of Pendulum.

I have tried Noisia and its quite good, so I might buy some of their tracks. Thanks for the suggestions so far, haven't gone through all of them yet though ;).

It sounds familiar but I am also clueless as to what it is... sounds a bit gothic/metal-ish, a bit Epica-like (it's not Epica, I think... (don't know all their music though)).

    Hello Diablofans,

I'm searching for some quality Drum & Bass and Dubstep music but I am having a hard time on my search. There is such a bulk of music in these genres...

I've stumbled upon B-complex in the DnB genre and it's the best DnB I have heard so far. With Dubstep I've seen some good live performances, but I can't find many quality tracks.

Therefore I've come to this forum that proofs to be quite helpful on topics like this :).

Aside from sharing your favourite DnB and Dubstep music here, I suggest to take this topic into discussing the genres themselves, for example how do you dance on Dubstep? (really I've seen many different styles, such as the 'bowing' style which I prefer).

I don't like in-game exclusives- I don't like to buy for extra content. I would love a soundtrack CD (my vote) and artwork, although these would probably appear on the internet anyway. I have a collectors edition for Diablo II which contains a strategy book. This book gives very useful tips, such as quest locations, monster locations, monster weaknesses, strategies on how to take down bosses etcetera. I would love to see such an edition for Diablo III.

Well I guess I have to try out Naruto some day, but I shirk to start with the 300+ episodes... such a bulk of episodes :(. I can't imagine a story that is able to drag on so long. Code Geass sounds very similar to Death Note. I think I will start with that (after I've finished Death Note, im at ep 22 now). Thanks for the responses!

@Max hmm well what are you looking for specifically another teenage action adventure anime like Soul Eater? Or something more dramatic and suspenseful like Death Note?

    Something more like Death Note.

You are pretty new to me as I am not a very frequent visitor lately, but you appear to me as someone who could be a good friend of Mephisto. I am not certain, however, if your friendship could be based on affinity. I think that if it would occur that you become a friend of Mephisto, it would happen because you both strive to be a unique person, strive to avoid the cliché personality. In this search, you will find a rival in each other.

First Soul Eater, now watching Death Note. What comes next? (Naruto and Bleach are popular; I'd love to go for a less obvious anime)

The history of the unit meter, something I've read about today:

In 1792 a meter was defined as one ten-millionth of the distance from the north pole to the equator. Later, the meter became to be defined as the distance between two fine lines engraved near the ends of a platinum-iridium bar. In 1960 a more precise standard was adopted, specifically 1 650 763.73 wavelengths of a particular orange-red light emitted by atoms of Krypton-86. In 1983 even more precision was demanded and the meter became the distance traveled by light in vacuum in a specified time interval of 1/c of a second (c equals 299 792 458).

Then something interesting about time. One second is the time taken by 9 192 631 770 oscillations of the light (of a specified wavelength) emitted by a cesium-133 atom. Atomic clocks are very consistant: they would have to run for 6000 years before their readings would differ by more than 1 s. It is funny though that every day could be 1-3 ms shorter or longer than the previous day.

Finally mass. The standard of 1 kg is a platinum-iridium cylinder kept at the International Bureau of Weights and Measures near Paris. Since 1889 the U.S. copy of the standard has been taken to France twice for recomparison with the primary standard. A secondary mass standard is the mass of carbon-12. This atom has been assigned a mass of 12 atomic mass units (u).
