Here's the thing, not a lot has changed since the beginning of Season 7. People are still creeping towards those solo 100 GRs, but not getting much further than that. The sets don't change much anymore (remember when Tal'Rasha's AND Firebird's got changed twice over the course of 2 seasons?) It's all just power creep and paragon grinds and hoping for perfect rolls.
Why today, I was surprised, and a little disappointed to find a perfectly rolled Twisted Wind, 3 seasons after it was good. The legendary affixes they add aren't anything too stellar for the most part, at least, it's hard to get excited about The Barber when the next line is the Mandald Heal.
All in all, D3 is a great game, but really, nothing has changed too much from the previous seasons, a few things, but it's nothing crazy. I remember the sweeping changes to sets like Inna's, Rainment, and Sunwuko's after adding Ullianna's that shook the Monk meta to it's core. The 4 player scene hasn't changed since season 1, 2 support builds, 2 dps. I really wish they'd institute some sort of established tank class (that Crusader was meant to be), and free up some slots in the 4 player scene.
I still remember when they nerfed the ever lovin crap out of the zdps WD Voodoo mask because "Fighting a bunch of mobs that can't fight back isn't engaging gameplay." Neither is getting 1-shot from off-screen, but that still happens ;).
I think, overall, not enough has changed to warrant crazy forum traffic. Heck, most people get builds from streams now anyways, and they're usually posted on D3Planner, as it has a much better interface and information. This site gives videos and forums, and guidelines, but the raw data is missing. Like, you NEED max CDR on your Gloves/Neck/Rings/Shoulders/Weapon(s) in order for this build to be effective. It's just a recommended stat priority, and in the world of RNG that is Diablo, unless it's perfect, it's trash, right?
