What will become of Jewels, Gems, and Runes? And will the same socket laws apply for various equipments (i.e. armor-4soc, shields-4soc, weapons-6soc, helms-3soc. these are max sockets for items)

Here's how I see it, and I hope others do as well or maybe I'm crazy...
"meteor" falling from the sky...
Girl walks out front to see wtf is going on...
Girl runs back inside to warn Cain about wtf is going on...
Deckard Cain turns to Girl and is like wtf...
Meteor hits the Cathedral...
Girl walks to ledge of the big crater that the meteor made...
Out pops this dude...
I would like the point out that concept art for that last photo probably doesn't convey anything, especially not Tyrael looking at the angel popping out of the crater. The waves might have been the girls hair, and although the physique of that character looks like a guy, it's just a really rough sketch.

It appears they have started using the sisters cathedral again possibly, unless this is a new cathedral, and it can be either Tyrael rejected my heaven, or Imperius sent from heaven by either his superiors or on a vigilanty. This is part of the gameplay too because you have to go save Cain who is in the cathedral.
-oh yeah, the blue flames could be hank hill going crazy with his propane.
This obviously has importance; it could be that Imperius alwasy comes down to earth in such a haphazard way, that he was never beaten, and that he will shake it off and bring some mayhem.
i dont see anything in that screencap, but i dont think imperius is here to destroy sanctuary or anything like that...
its more likely he is asking you to take up arms to defend sanc...

I think Imperius has came with a dark omen, as he intends to destroy Sanctuary; he forces the mortals to take arms, and Tyrael obviously tries to intervene. Sounds really interesting.
Yeah, or when you found that guy who was a level 92 paladin who was so nice to the people who stayed on the free games all the way; Me and my friend Rawsheeve did that one night, it was so fun.
Remebering when you could find a party of eight easily, and just do act one all the way through, without waypoints, maybe even act two. You alwasy had a some kid who was freakin' hilarious, and some uptight ones, and a pally that didn't talk as much and led the crew.
The Warrior did actually try to contain teh demon Diablo for he thought the same Tal Rasha did, althought Tal Rasha would've succeeded if it hadn't of been for that damned Marius. Oh yeah, the warrior shoud've thought about housing himself in a big tomb under the sand, chained up and what not. Crown could've been undead crown or royal circlet.
