posted a message on New Affixes?
What about a "survivalist" type of affix - the more you hit an enemy with a certain type of damage, the more his resistance to that type of damage increases up to 70 or 80%. Then in order to reduce that resistance you have to hit him with other type of damage. I think its pretty simple and it would encourage players to use more of their skills.

posted a message on Beta Key Contest #4
Once upon a time there was a boy named Binkles.

He was born in a world called Sanctuary - a dangerous place as some (Okay! Many people) would say. And dangerous it was indeed.
One day, the young Binkles had to get some water from a nearby well, just across the “mystical forest”. No one knew why it was called mystical (actually maybe that was the reason) so Binkles decided to take the shortcut and went into the forest as if nothing could happen.

    Something happened.

As he was minding his own business, a demon appeared before Binkles. A fearsome demon (called Mephisto). Binkles had no choice but to fight him so he can get to the well, and so Mephisto was defeatead.
It wasn’t long after that when another creature from hell stood on Binkles’ way. It was Diablo. And Diablo was defeated after a tiresome battle.
At this point Binkles just wanted to get his water but there it was – yet another demon (Baal) that for some reason wanted to stop the boy from getting to that well. The battle was fierce. Like something that the world of Sanctuary has never seen before. Baal and Binkles were fighting for so long that they have lost track of time. What is important is that in the end Binkles won, and he defeated three of the greatest threats to humanity.

Anyway, turns out that the water from that well was poisoned so Binkles turned into a frog that day.

posted a message on Can someone explain way of the hundred fists?
It says that its a series of rapid punches that deal 135% weapon damage.

Lets say I click it once. Does that mean that each punch the monk performs during the animation deals 135% weapon damage or the total amount of punches during the animation equals to 135% weapon damage done?

What bothers me is that there are almost no offensive passives. Cooldown reduction, and increased dmg after healing passives are the only ones close to giving you more dmg capability.

posted a message on Difference in class skills
I agree about the monk. Having mantras that are actually 1 skill type, and you can only use 1 at a time makes it a little boring. Also his popularity may suffer further since they give him healing ability/mantras in the first few levels instead of damaging attacks which diablo is centered around. If you look at other classes they all start getting mainly damaging attacks but the monk gets more utility spells. I think it would have been a better decision to present the players with more combo/spirit spender skills at the beginning and give the utility spells later on.

    Quote from Dauroth

One thing that is great about Diablo III is that if Battle net 2.0 turns out to be a failure, and everyone playing sc2 complain about it, Blizzard will most likely fix it, and Diablo 3 will be fine

Which, of course, will delay the release, just like StarCraft II! Which means there is no way we will see this game in 2011!

I don't think that it can delay the release, since by that time, sc2 will already be out, which means that battle net will be functioning as well, so they can only fix it with patches. My point is that if Battle net causes many complaints of the customer base, Blizzard will have to patch chat channels etc, which won't affect Diablo release

posted a message on Trading, and individual loot for everyone
If every player gets only loot that is good for his class doesn't that make item trading kind of pointless? Everyone would get what they need? Also if high end items are bind on pick up, wouldn't that hurt the whole trading aspect even more?
