I think they need to keep them, but adjust them, and I am pretty sure that is what Wyatt will do, as he hinted in the tavern talk.

The goal is to have you do trials, but once you unlock say GR25, you can then use your trial keystone and turn it into any GRift 1-25 without running the trial.

posted a message on Blizz should fix xp leech issue

Only way to really fix this, not saying it needs to be fixed however, would be to have a group XP formula. What they could implement is that all XP boosts between the group are added together and then divided by the # of players in the group.

For instance, if we had a combination of +280% XP boost, and 4 players in the group, each player would get +70% XP boost. Doing something like this could open up new avenues of game play where 1-3 DPS and 1-3 Tanks/Support/Leechers group to benefit everyone as a whole.

I personally see no reason to keep more than 1 of a class in a specific game mode.

gotcha, thank you cray and demon for helping me understand the flaw in my logic better.

Worth being noted though, I sort of like the idea of having CC and CD tied to your main stat, opening items up for things such as resource reduction and other rolls. Have no idea how balanced that would be though, think it could possibly make the game a bit trivial. I also know they have been debating having CC and CD tied to level and having a max of 35%/350% when you hit lvl 70. I would be perfectly fine with this as well as it means you are more likely to have an effective ring or ammy rather then requiring it has main stat, CC, CD, and a socket to be BIS or near BIS.

the crit chance/dmg is rolled to your current STR not the STR on the item, hence why the tooltip shows an item (for example a ring with int and a good crit chance/dmg roll) as a DPS increase and say it had better vit and armor it would show an all around green improvement to whatever STR ring i had in the slot at the time. now true using that item i would see a minor drop in +1 STR= +1% dmg and +1% armor but base crit chance and dmg is like +150% dmg. so in this case using an int ring with a good crit roll is a dps improvement, and my opinion is that it shouldnt be. i did use one example of some idiot mixing items(which i thought was ridiculous) but the main point is that i dont think that crit chance and dmg should ever be able to do more damage by itself than an item with main stat is all.

Let me try to clarify a little more for you.

With more CC and CD, you will see more damage on crits, however, if you replace your main stat with CC or CD, you will see a lower damage number, but, you will crit more often or hit harder with your crits, so the game is estimating that you actually proc your crits such as your % suggests. Rule of thumb for every item is Primary>CC=CD>CDR(AS if CDR not needed). This is not exact, but it is a base rule of thumb.

In some instances, if you are running low on CC or CD in other slots such as your gloves (Gotta love RNG) that is when people often drop their primary stat on a ring for the CC or CD in order to maintain a 1:10 ratio. This is typically negated now with paragon levels which allow a much easier path to create that 1:10 ratio. For a target, most people aim for 40% CC and 400% CD, but most usually end up around 38%/380%.

I feel my grinding has been for nothing

Thats the main problem with seasons in my opinion.Other than 1-2 new items per class it doesnt add anything new. Each season should bring a unique change to gameplay like leagues does in PoE.

I disagree. The main focus of seasons is for the players (like me) who spend WAY too much time playing and find everything we want in a short amount of time. No the items are completely min-maxed, but playing to find a different ancient version of my weapon with another 23 strength doesn't intrigue me.

But luckily we've got seasons. A fresh start where finding a legendary is exciting no matter what it is. We get to experience what it's like again barely being able to farm T1 at level 70, and the fun of progression as we can bump it up to T3, T5, and then into greater rifts ect. If you want huge gameplay changes to be interested in seasons, then I'm sorry seasons just aren't for you.

This embodies everything that is wrong with the community currently.

Seasons will be tied to patches, and are going to be tied to new content. That was the goal all along, but people whined that season 1 was running to long, so blizz rushed a mediocre patch 2.1.2 instead of just launching their intended 2.1.2 which is our soon to be released 2.2

In the end, fans need to just stfu and enjoy what blizz gives them, you do not pay anything monthly to get this new content. If you want to kill a bunch of monsters and look for that new piece, do it, nothing is stopping you. But if you want to whine and B**** incessantly like immature brats, you are just embarrassing yourselves.

I for one love the idea of new patches coming out every 4-5 months (intended goal) and the new season being attached to that (intended goal). This 4-5 month window is perfect for the grinder, the casual, and the newbie.

this has nothing to do with being pro, its common sense at this point, and its almost like a joke question

Common sense is something taught, not innate (especially in a video game).

You learned your Diablo 3 common sense by playing a lot of Diablo 3 or reading, researching, and asking questions, so why is it an issue if our OP is doing the same thing now? What if the OP is new to D3 with maybe 2-3 months of experience only. He may not understand that you want to base your damage off of elites as that triggers onto the Rift Guardians, meaning that the SoJ actually gives him a near 38% boost should he decided to go with a physical build.

Word of advice, stop being a rude, and put yourself in the shoes of the OP. Not everyone is a seasoned pro with Hundreds of hours of game play and research behind them. In fact, you should feel honored that someone is willing to come to this site, a website you use to post something, and ask questions regarding the game. Instead you troll around and waste a solid opportunity.
