Does anyone know when this patch will be put in place. I haven't played my Monk for weeks because we were stuck in a rut and I didn't see any changes worth while coming... I'm glad that they are really looking at the class as a whole now and not just making a couple tweeks here and there to items etc. Monks are very fun to play as a whole and it will be nice to be able to group with people and do DPS on par with the rest of the group without getting pigeon holed in 1 or 2 builds using 1 or 2 items.
For the OP, here is my Profile.. not the best Monk..but I have a pretty good setup, can Solo T3-4 as a Monk without the Follower/Unity setup which isn't to bad.
Gloves - Fair - Just need something better. Nothing special here for a +Lightning Monk.. Try for a CH/CD/Dex/IAS or similar.
RoRG - Reroll the life per hit for CH (6%)
Rogars - Reroll for CH (6%)
Belt - Good - Will replace more then likely with a Set Piece.
Pants - reroll skill for something you will use.
Shard of Hate - Reroll Vit for Dex
Odyn's - Reroll Vit for Socket (Always run Green)
Boots - Fair - Replace with Set item or Illusion boots
Skills are kind of all over the place. Look at mine and move things around based on the Torment you run.. do you need more speed, offensive power, defense, etc.. Monks can adjust very easy.
Yea, I figured there wasn't going to be one since I searched everywhere and there wasn't even one mention of an Open Beta. I'd like to see them open it maybe 1 week before the expansion goes live. It would give people just enough time to test things out so when March 25th hits people aren't wasting time. I know a lot of people have multi-60s and I'd like to see how the new skills work out, plus the new class etc. Oh well, Blizz will always do what Blizz wants.
I was just wondering with RoS not to far from release have there been any comments from a Blue on an Open Beta date? I searched the forums and Wiki and couldn't find a thing.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought they said in the recent post that Monks main attacks would have an increase in the over all damage? But when I went through the proposed changes to Monks spirit generators they all (Almost all) got nerfed? I see a lot of good quality changes to toughness and abilities to allow monks to live in tougher GRifts and T6, but if it takes me 20 mins to kill a white what's the use?
Holy crap... Are the dev's just this out of touch on what's really wrong with Monks? Our skills just do not produce enough damage. So what do they do, they buff 2hd's (Actually probably won't actually be a buff after you consider the -130 CHD), and they give Monks more spirit to spend on skills that don't hit remotely hard enough? I look at these monk "Changes" and I come closer and closer to just scrapping the Monk all together.

I just looked over your gear and skills quickly.. you pretty much just suffer from just needing better pieces. What D3 is all about, the grind.
Neck - Good, but I'd shoot for something with +Lightning (20), CH/CD
Bracers - Good
Head - Fair - Look for a +30 Lightning Eye of the Storm with good stats.
Shoulders - Fair - Reroll seven sided strike to something useful.
