i was thinking maybe blizzard should offer premium content to people who wouldnt mind paying a small subscription fee. like your name in gold or a color you wanna pick. more players able to join your game. nothing that gives you a an advantage over non premium users just some fun cool added features. like maybe you wanna look for something create a game and your game will be listed above others. maybe more gold dropped/slight higher chance better stuff will drop. but nothing crazy more like a small percent increase and you cant do .01% increase because that would make super rare items more common. just some thought but nothing to serious. but nothing on the lines that you get access to different content then non premium users like in hellgate were a entire act was only for premium users. kinda sucked ass because you couldn't play with non subscribers and blah blah blah.. just tossing this out there. sorta like power user in gunbound if any 1 is familiar.

tal rashas body was never twisted into a demon form but used as a prison.. think of amummy with a diamond slammed into his chest. once removed the body died. because that happended 100's of years before the event in d2 were marius stole it. Would be cool to have an in-game event like "Battle for Mt. Arreat" where you'd be one of the human soldiers in an army fightning against the armies of demons. There would be a score table showing score of each character in that particular game plus in addition highest scores would be registered into a world wide ranking list. Just like ladder in D2 but it wouldnt be scoring levels but how much demon heads you had ripped off in the battle for Mt. Arreat. \o/

Yes, the soul stones was their vessel into the human world. The exception was Tal Rasha who turned himself into a living vessel, giving Baal a much better "host" than a corruption from inside a soulstone could.
But if Tal Rashas body decayed, how did Baal have a body?
marius took part of the soulstone and ran off with it. Tal'Rasha was like a super powerful haraudrin so he took it upon himself to imprison baal into his body so it would not call to any 1 els for it to possess. baals was split in 2.
baals other part manifested in some one els and came into the insane assylum at the end of act 4 and took the other part of his soulstone back from marius.
marius thought it was tyreal and handed it over to him and baal startled to chuckle and marius figured out it wasnt tyreal but it was baal trying to get the soulstone from him. but it was to late.
look i read the diablo books. the soulstones is what let the 3 prime evils manifest into the real world. without the soul-stones they could not come into the human world.
Tal'rasha was a powerful sorcerer and put baals essance aka his soul-stone into his body and improsened him inside his body to keep his soulstone from possessing others into coming to get it.
like lets say a mephistos soul stone was in your house. mephisto would use his soulstone to possess some 1 in your house to pick it up. once in the hand mephisto would try to force them to insert that soulstone into there body.

mephisto is the "weakest" i guess but only because he is much older then his other brothers. Daiblo is the youngest.

there probably will be professions in the game and you could probably craft these legandary items. but runewords broke diablo 2 and were just added cus diablo 2 got old and it was a way of keeping the game alive by giving people these silly over powered items. but you never know.
ummm, i was under the impression we were fighting against the armies of evil in diablo 3? i mean... thats how it was in d1 and d2? or are you talking about like a huge ass field of just button mashing and killing? which would be fun and you could do i guess "waves" and get progressively harder. either way this game is going to be fun as hell.
Tal'Rasha was never Evil to begin with. he used himself being the only powerful haraudrin at the time to hold baal inside of his body like a prison. then the events that were stated in this topic earlier happened and baal was released.
you guys are missing what the op said. Half life 2 and most steam games work like this. yes you have a cd key you install it. but the only way to run the game is if you have a internet connection to verify that it is a genuine cd key. even if you want to play solo player. just to start up the game you need a internet connection. let me give you a example. you want to play Diablo 2, you click the exe, before the game loads some sort of verification process is run to make sure you have a real copy. then the game is started. just to play the game offline.
