Quote fromSo Blizzard is looking for an art director, how does that affect the release day?
Its not so much that the specific job leads me to believe there is a lot of work still to do, but the fact that they're still figuring things out, and we all know that new hires takes some time no matter how far up the corporate ladder. Looking for a fresh set of eyes, especially to lead, could result in major changes which take time.
I have my fingers crosses that they're just adding and adding people to get things done quicker.

I think you're reset to a checkpoint rather than relying on a TP from someone or running back from a WP.

2. I'm neutral on.
3. I don't like. It just doesn't make sense to sell it to nothing for magical gold unless a little birdy is flying it to town for a fee.

Lets say I have leveled to say 50+ for example and have not died a single time. Kragdor the Immortal. And... if a person who had this title died, Kragdor the Slain.
Again, storyline accomplishments like Hellslayer seems good, maybe others such as a certain amount of undead killed granting Undead Hunter etc.

As for class names... Elementalist, Mage, Wizard? (Is wizard male specific?) or likely they will create a name. I'm thinking along the lins of DAoC where they was a class such as a Runemaster. That is somewhat original and gender neutral.

I highly disagree with this point.
The sense of community in D2 was far less than it was in WoW for me. In WoW you'll run into those people again if you roll need on everything. In D2 you'd get away with if there was a roll system.
I prefer the system Blizz has spoken about, and thne let people trade from there.

As for deterioration like buildings, it would be a nice little plus.

Diablo will be making an appearance in Act 3 as an undead rather than a demon.
He will also appear in Act 4 as part of the aforementioned hydra. Each head of the hydra is a previous act boss.
I have no sources or proof.
I would love to see all the rumors addressed though. I can't wait for Blizzcon to be over.

QFT
6: not GG runewords
7: not once per two weeks server drops (Zod)
8: not worthless currency system
9: not horrible trade channel system for trading
10: not no respecs (coincides with the no rush/leech, just let us respec)
11: not synergies
12: not useless skills such as ones forced to spec for synergies (ie telekinesis)
On the other side and more on topic...
1: bring back crazy stuff like finding keys, to get organ sets, to open a crazy difficult area (but make it playable by all classes). Maybe it should be solo-able.
2: random world events, but not tied to IPs etc such as Dclone and the farming/forced events it caused.

I played a mage... In raids it was frostbolt frostbolt 3 hours later frost bolt...
In pvp there were a bunch of spells (even when fighting weaker mobs solo) such as frost nova, one of my armors, and the occasional ice lance and blink to escape or maneuver, but it was essentially 4-5 spells.
Without forcing mutliple tree specs, I'm not sure how they can enforce a use of many spells. An armor or buff could be one, a DD, an AoE. a %dmg like static, and a movement spell like teleport. I do hope to see more being used such as the barbarian using that stun to lower shields, maybe magic will involve similar strategy, but without needing two different damage types and hence an additional DD and AoE, well then it will probably be something like 6 spells.
I think there is a possibility of channeled spells being more useful in D3 than WoW because with our instant cast normal spells, a channeled spell doing much better damage over time would be nice for when grouped and you don't need to maneuver as an alternative to the instant cast while running.

Chancies? Cmon, only good for mf. True, the best for mf, but c'mon, IAS/knock +other for amazon gloves? Can't be topped.
Tarnhelm, also the best for mf, but even for a sorc there was +skills and mods that topped it. For melee, there was much better.
Way, WAY back in the day I had a lance barb, now what unique weapon could top a 400+ rare lance? Of course, he sucked as soon as LoD came out... mostly because of atack speed, but I couldn't handle the beginning of A5.
Now adays, my shako, occy, tal armor, etc etc is all joke armor almost when compared to other items. I think most agree that runewords should be done away with or at least knocked down to the power of uniques/rares.

Well, in my mind uniques should be better than most rares for all slots, but a good roll on a rare should yield better than uniques. Essentials rares would be extremely variable and the complete end game items. Uniques would be better than say 95% of rare rolls, not 99.999% as they are now... barring the overpowered use of runewords.
