posted a message on The Destiny of D3 is Balance in all things and when Balance is lost all that is left:
    T...H...E E...X...P...A...N...S...I...O...NNNNN !!!!!!!!!!

I recently noticed that most of the things people complain about D2 is in fact not about D2. It's about LoD, the expansion. Look at these examples:

    - Unbalanced skills
    - Useless things: mana, gold, ...
    - Overpowered items: runewords, ...
    - Useless quests: Rescue Cain, Imbue quest, find the Gidbinn.
    - Everybody looks the same (about the end-game gear)

People here are hoping these issues will be balanced in D3. They may well be solved in D3. But don't forget that Blizzard has a tradition of releasing expansions for its games. When D3 is released all these problems should have been solved. But once the expansion is out then everything will be the same again.

Are you really hopeful  that D3 will be as balanced as in your mind?

I now play with friends on Open Battle.net, playing only with hardcore lvl9 characters. We have hacked charms with -100% exp gained so we make sure we don't gain any more experience, and we try to get as far in the game as we can. We're currently trying to pass Travincal. An army of lvl 9 players trying to pass Travincal. How did we get here without dying? Using all those useless skills of course! Inner Sight, Find Potion (most useful skill to get healed), Howl... Oh yeah, Howl, this is your "mobile" Grim Ward.

Poor dude, with every word you write you confirm my opinions. Blizzard does not even consider making D3 the very anticipated mod-friendly game. How can you even consider they will care open Bnet and hacked chars? Shame on you. Please stop troliing around the forum. Highest priority for Blizzard is Story, Single Player, Multi Player and stop cheating on Bnet. This thread directly relates to certain issues for the awesomeness! expected from the game. Your edited chars and hacked gameplay will not be considered by Blizzard. Now go play around with your lvl9 freaks and stop being lame around!

Not everyone is an hardcore Korean gamer, some people actually have fun playing this game, and enjoy skills such as Grim Ward, Hydra, Poison Nova, Potion find, Immolation Arrow, Poison Dagger, and the such...

Do you consider Poison Nova/Dagger, Hydra are useless skills? I think you didn't even understand my first post. However I can say a couple of words about Immolation Arrow and such. Immolation->Fire->Exploding Arrows ; Ice->Freezing->Cold Arrows ; Firebolt->Fireball ; Icebolt->Iceblast , .. Those are all similar and one is a bad copycat of the other. What a shame! Please focus yourself on this: Each skill should have its own PERSONALITY, CHARACTERISTIC, STYLE, SELF-RESPECT. Otherwise people would not RESPECT these skills and they will not be COOL.

Seen the new Fear ability from the Witch Doctor? It already exists in D2, it's called Grim Ward. Woohoo.

Now I am sure you didn't even read my first post throughly. Can you understand the difference between a Grim Ward and a "mobile" Grim Ward?

posted a message on Please Blizzard, Remove those MUST Skills, 1pt. Wonders and Useless Skills!!!
    (I consider D2:LoD, not D2 Classic)

Must Skill: Battle Orders. I haven't seen a Barb. guide without pumping this skill. In fact when you create a Barb. you start with 20 less skill points. Why? Because you MUST maximise BO. Where is the fun with that?

A few examples of 1 Point Wonders: Battle Command, Sorc Cold Shields, Teleport, Static Field, Amplify Damage, Decrepify, Redemption, ...

A few examples of Useless Skills: Most of Necro curses, Potion/Item Find and Grim Ward, Inner Sight, Shadow Warrior, Thorns Aura, ...

In D2, half of the skills were useless or/and 1 Pt. wonders. They seem to me styleless, dishonorable, worthless skills who lack self-respect. This is not cool. Each skill should have its own usage and must be worthwhile to spend 20 skill points. This is the big deal in D3. Replace useless skills with charming skills and make 1 Pt. wonders more stylish so that we have to trade-off between them.

posted a message on Diablo III Producer Justifies Controversial Art Direction: Color Is Your Friend
    To help D3 artists:

We care more about high resolution, details, object sharpness, environmental atmosphere and realism.

We care less about how colorful, vivid, cartoony, WoWish, advanced or eye candy the graphics are.

If you will sacrifice virtual details, high resolution for the sake of WoWish graphics then you will fail.

posted a message on Blizzard Should Change Rewarding System in D3
Ok, one of the most dissapointing things in D2 was how the game was rewarding you in item finding.

I am sure Blizzard has psychologists, sociologists in their departments. Before releasing their games, they research human behaviours so that their games address more people and make game addiction on players. One of the reasons behind the success of D2 was a simple human feeling: 'Jealousy'. Everybody wanted to find the most valuable items that the others couldn't and show off themselves everywhere causing the others say with ambition: "Where did you find this item?"

Everyone has his own personality in real life and each Diablo player has a gaming style. The gaming style reflects your personality. But according to my online gaming experience I think we can categorize common characters. For example:

    1. Codewise players: These dudes are smart, clever, skilled. Probably many of them have computer programming knowledge. They look for Diablo related files/folders in computer and try to figure out how the game mechanics are working. They try to understand how the game flows and try to guess how the game is hard-coded. But sometimes these people can have excellent persuasion skills at chatting: they type fast, play mind games, make cunning offers to you. They are very passionate, they try every possible way to get what they want in easy way. They are smart, but lazy. I think their motto is: 'Easy Money!'. However keep in mind that the starters of hackers, dupers, cheaters, haxors, .. are mainly in this category.

    2. Hardworking players: These dudes play the game for countless hours. They are very passionate too. They are not very smart but try the hard way. They know the most profitable areas, bosses. They Magic Find run the same bosses and areas for hours without boring.

    3. Adventurer players: These dudes play the game for fun. But if the game seems interesting they may become very passionate. They always want to explore the game, try new areas, do something new. They even start from Act1 and goes up to Act5 for fun. The passionate adventurers read every possible character build guides on internet and design the most possible unique builds. They are really teamworkers, they imagine every possible party combination and are always ready for co-operative games.

It's a shame that in Diablo manuals, books, official web site the heroes we played in the game are presented as adventurers but in the game the adventurers are the ones that are least rewarded. Personnaly I am an adventurer type of player. I like exploring the game in search of new things. But at the same I want to be rewarded proportionnaly to the amount of time I spend playing the game. I love Diablo and I play the game for hours, search new areas in map, try new things but at the end a dude who found out a trick/bug/dupe/scam or an easy way of finding items enters the game and shows off with his item collection. This ruins my games.

I hope Blizzard re-considers the rewarding mechanism in the game for a fair rewarding system and promote adventurous game style.

Necromancers will probably return.. they are what Druids are to Warcraft - preservers of the nature of the world or whatever. Seriously! a guy that can summon an army all by himself is surely not gonna get owned by the events that happened :P

..he is gonna get owned by Black Souls.

I always wanted a Paladin or Necro hireling. I have made a Warcraft3 map where a necro follows you and auto-casts skellies and I adjusted the number of simultaneously summoned bonelings to something around 5-6 in map editor. And it was quite fun. Assaulting a heavily defended base with an army of foolish undead and witnessing the fall of desperate ennemy overrun by the increasing number of each newly raised undead while you crush their fortifications onto their head with your melee tank hero was quiet simply awesome!

Off Topic: Witch Doctor is Assassin+Necro hybrid for now. And I didn't like WD. He is not stylish. He reminds me Shadow Hunter or Witch Doctor..wait..:O..Zomg..they didn't even change the name..Nerds!.. This is too much troll.

posted a message on Item Hunting & From Best to Worst Items Order in D3
in D2 the order (From Best to Worst) was:

Rare Items >Rune Words > Crafted Items >Unique Items >Set Items >Magic Items > Normal Items

What should be the order and if necessary how an addition of item type can be done in D3 ?

Rogue and Sorceres cannot be back. We've killed them in D2:

    Rogue->Blood Raven
    Sorceres -> The Summoner
    ...and...
Warrior -> The Dark Wanderer a.k.a Diablo

    http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/29/joystiq-chats-with-jay-wilson-on-diablo-3/

He says some characters from D1 will be back. In D2, when we enter Tristram from Stony Field the only place that was not presented on the map was the place where Adria's hut stood for in D1. The other inhabitants were overrun by Diablo's minions and their houses were left to burn into ashes. Also Deckard Cain stresses the mysterious woman in his journal in D3 site.

Conclusion: Adria steps back into Tristram.
