None of the games story line revealed during the beta to keep players wanting more
No gear drops, and maybe only 5 levels of character available, just to simply get ideas and suggestions on how the levling works
and a small elaborate sample of any skills they think might need to be changed
What would be the point? The beta is for sussing out bugs and such through testing. Doing what you are suggesting would totally defeat the point of a beta in the first place.
The beta isn't just for you to get a sneak peak of the game there is some work involved you realise?
Many (id say bout 1/2) of the diablo players are within school ages.
I doubt it I would say there hardcore fan base would be mostly 20+ The people who played the originals when they came out not 5 years later. If there is a beta it should be closed and I doubt people under 18 would be able to participate because you would have to sign an NDA.
I think they mean like in HG:L you could chose hair and stuff. Fairly standard stuff for games these days. I doubt it will go into much detail and I hope they don't. Once I put on all the armour I doubt I will remember what my character looks like under it all.
I think they barely have much done. I think they made the stuff in the demo first so they could show that off but apart from what we saw in the demo I doubt they have much else done.

Think about it a bit you will have to live with this for the rest of your life.
I certainly wouldn't want to be 80 with computer game tattoos.

I will probably play the character most like the paladin.
