    + Gameplay

    + Website

    + Coming 2020

    D2HD:

    D3:

    - Expansion

    50/50 DLC

I am still unsure only about the D3 case. So much questions there and points pro/contra new DLC. I leave it 50/50 for a DLC. No expansion for sure.

Switch version releases November 2nd - officially confirmed.

ToBeRuined, I was skeptical about new D3 stuff, but with this release date I have to say they go for the triple hit - D2, D3, D4. The waiting until Blizzcon is going to be painful.

    T-shirt is the classic one.

    Btw, from the youtube comments:

Frank Dux: If you press 4 at the start of the video it takes you straight to 0:26 which is the future announcement. Diablo 4 Confirmed.

Most exciting 3 months (until Blizzcon 2018 start) Diablo wise since the D3 announcement in 2008 are here! It's been 10 years after all!

D2 HD and D4 pretty much officially confirmed in this video.

just want to play the game for fun

Even then botting devalues the updates you get since more player base equals more updates and botting destroys a large portion of the player base. And of course it affects those who seek competition - something that games from all kind of genres are looking to create since this elevates your game to a new level - the eSport level - where you don't need milking/monetizing anymore in order to sustain your game.

Here is a quote from the Mount & Blade II developer from 2 days ago for example: "After the success of the Battle of Bucharest last year, we wanted to do more to promote and grow the competitive scene of Mount & Blade. Right now, these efforts will be focused on Mount & Blade: Warband, but obviously we are also laying the foundations for the future competitive scene of Bannerlord."

D3 released in China in 2015. It's only 3 years old there. Wonder if that affects anything any way.

They might add more character DLCs if Necro was a success there, but we don't know the numbers. If they don't announce a new class at this Blizzcon, D3 is done. A new class however will bring more power creep and they will have to raise the GR level cap.

This Blizzcon looks like the most important for the whole Diablo franchise since D2 HD, D3 future and D4 announcement are at stake.

Everyone starts with the Blackthorne set. The season of trolls.

The proper troll Season would be the Season of Stash Space [SSS]. Everyone has access to 100 stash tabs during the Season. Enjoy and don't cry when it ends!

At first glance capping online hours seems ridiculous but it is great solution!

It is a valid solution, yes. Just as Seasons cap your hours at around 2200, shorter leagues 24/100/500 hours while the Season lasts with respected LBs could do the work. The problem is really the implementation of something like this and that it kind of splits the playerbase, while hard caps on the Seasonal progress don't. We all know D3 team is not so big as when the game was released, so will they decide to invest resources to fresh up the Seasonal mode with leagues or main stat/paragon cap, we have to see. I personally think both options will improve a lot the Seasonal play.

NS is pretty much useless competition wise. It has to be the place where people have no time/power limits in order to perfect their characters, but with so many botters dodging previous ban waves it turns mainly into "grinding paragon" competition, with the legit players hoping that all botters will receive the "hammer" at least once before the 10k finish line and there will be no people who devote 3 years from their lives on one account sharing it 24/7.

The solution is either cap on the Seasonal progress (main stat/paragon/gem levels) or cap on the time played (for example different leagues - 24/100/500 hours - in which your time is ticking while you are online). The first solution focuses on the pushing aspect, while the second combines both efficiency and pushing. Last option is of course working Challenge Rifts mode and competition moved there with regular LBs left just for snapshot options.

Account sharing is against Blizzard ToS (only allowed in specific cases between a legal guardian and a minor), just as botting is. Good you mentioned it, Bagstone, some people who never heard of account sharing could assume it is legal.

24 hours playtime per day for a whole Season does NOT mean someone is botting. He could be simply account sharing. That said it's useless to even go after bots with regular bans. One ban wave per year should be enough to keep the house clean at NS. If however people want fair competition, botting and account sharing should be made not profitable by design.
