posted a message on new gameplay?
Well remind me to never play a game with you. And no shit they look like pistols, considering they are pistol crossbows. I still fail to see how holding two of them makes them look any more like a gun than a normal pistol xbow would. They still have a clearly different silhouette from the entire bow part in the front.

And what the hell is wrong with giving ranged characters another option? Melee characters have axes, polearms, swords, maces, warhammers, daggers, fist weapons, and most of those have one hand and two handed variants. Even spellcasters can use daggers, swords, and staves, and they don't even use their weapons to begin with. But ranged characters should be restricted to a bow or a crossbow? Why? I welcome the addition of another option for ranged characters, and pretty much the only other option is pistol crossbows, and the only way to make those any different than normal crossbows is by allowing the DH to dual wield them. Seems perfectly reasonable to me.

But yes, someone should be able to kick other people out of the game, but that doesn't mean that there should be the ability to filter out certain classes/builds beforehand.

posted a message on What type of Barb will you make?
I plan on making a barb with some big ass 2 hander, but dual wield is a close second. It really comes down to whats good for PvE vs PvP, as dual wield usually has better dps while a 2hander is better for burst damage. We'll see. Either way I'm making a barb first and smashing a bunch of stuffff

Tiberian Sun, though you kinda included that with C&C I guess. I played Red Alert for god knows how many hours when I was like 5. It was sweet.

Yea even though that quote looks like its only 3 respecs overall, they've mentioned respeccing as a gold sink multiple times, and I doubt theyd just take out another way to regulate the gold in the economy.

posted a message on The Fat Demon
I knew I had read something about what he was called, and I finally found it again. The big skeleton there is called The Keeper, and hes the last boss of the demo. Source: http://diablo.incgamers.com/blog/comments/exclusive-blizzcon-interview-lead-technical-artist-julian-love/ just do a search for The Keeper, and he describes it as "the skeletal final boss." Also, thats just a good article on D3 if you haven't read it. And the red dungeon is called Leoric's Hall of Agony, or something like that, and its where he tortured people as he became more and more insane, so it looks like this demo is set around the same part of the game as the 2008 blizzcon demo.

posted a message on A DiabloFans editorial: Stairway to Heaven?
Nice editorial, and I would have to agree with the Ureh part of it as they've probably done at least some in-game work on it anyways, and it would definitely make sense for an expansion. However, although I do think that we'll visit the High Heavens at some point in D3 and its expansion(s), I don't know about it being through Ureh, as theres some question as to where Ureh leads. That being said, I think Hell taking the fight to the High Heavens would be one of the coolest things we could possibly see in the Diablo series. Just imagine a heavenly, bright place being slowly corrupted by the forces of evil, and seeing angels and demons fighting all around us. That would be amazing, and I don't see how Blizzard could possibly pass on that opportunity.

posted a message on Leveling up animation
Considering there isn't even any background music, i doubt the sounds are finished. Not to mention that the health globe pickup sound has been addressed and confirmed as changed by Bashiok a while back, so yea, i think a lot of the stuff is probably placeholder, not to mention the game in general will seem much more tense and not as... empty with background music.
