Granted, but it'll turn out they actually enjoy spending time with human rights activists and PETA.

I wish we knew what the Three talked about when they aren't plotting some sort of scheme.

Well for starters the most important items are going to be BoE, so that wouldn't be possible for items that you have to work hard for. And in WoW, you basically get the item back in your mailbox and you have to pay whatever you got from the vendor for selling it (in the case of vendored items).

Right, but when you recover an item they delete the old ones and possibly ban whoever currently has them if they can prove that it was hacked (which isn't terribly hard when they have access to the servers). So its not like there would be two copies of the items floating around either way.

Granted, but the other 5 are hilariously underpowered.

I wish I knew if heaven was in D3.

Well then you are right maybe, but that seem very exploitable though. For example someone gives a password to a friend and he takes most of valuable items and then trades them and then that guy files a claim, and I really really doubt that blizzard is going to replace him those items.

I always thought that's the reason they never return you your items in D2 because it's just looks like impossible to proof anything and just too exploitable for scammers.
How would this even be an exploit? They would permaban the account that 'hacked' has the items and probably delete the old versions while sending the hard to get items back to the original owner. It would just mean that the person who got 'hacked' would have to sit around with no items for a while, get his friend banned, and risk Blizzard catching on and banning him too, just so that he could get back the items he already had.

And at least in WoW you have a limited amount of times that you can ask to recover an item from a vendor that you accidentally sold it to or something, and you can't get back stuff you traded unless its proven that you were hacked (which obviously would be pretty easy if you logged on and found all your items gone). And again, the person who steals the items gets banned, so thats a pretty high risk just to get some items you could go grind for.

Granted but it just won't do anything at all :P

I wish Diablo II hadn't ended on a cliffhanger

I wish the Barbarian can summon 5 ancient ansestors who aid him in his fights for atleast 40 secs ( TQ Style)
Good thing he does :D Call of the Ancients: Summons three ancient Barbarians - Talic, Korlic, and Madawc - who inflict a percentage of weapon damage. Lasts X seconds.

Yea, in WoW they can essentially review what happened and ban any hackers. A similar thing in D3 would work very well.

I just fear that we'll hear "there won't be a beta till 2012"...
Dun dun dun... and people will soon agree with me that Blizzard is slow as a turtle.
Well that would just go against everything else they've said so far, but ok. And no one's disagreeing (or at least I'm not), we're just saying the means justify the ends in terms of the quality of the games they make. Pretty much every company that consistently makes good games (BioWare, Bethesda, Valve, etc), especially large scale open world games, takes just as long, and just doesn't announce it as early.

Yea, Mike Morhaime said, as I remember hearing it, "(something short about Diablo 3), and we look forward to talking about the Diablo III beta in our next call" which is the May conference call. So we're most likely going to hear something or other about it. As axion said if its not announced then and doesn't start soon after, 2011 is basically off the table, and that is their goal for D3. So fingers crossed.
