I could go either way, maybe.. Tetris is cool because it gives that realistic feel. People in WoW always poke fun at the fact that you walk around with tons of armor, quest items, a horse and a gryphon in your backpack with no problem. The tetris system also allows you to see the nice weapon artwork. Obviously the flaw behind this is that your inventory fills up. Fast. Really fast. That is why the 1x1 system is good, too. You can fit a ton of gear into your bags so you aren't constantly running back and forth between the fights and vendors/stash. That seemed to slow the action down a lot.. and Blizzard made it clear that they want to keep the action quickly pased..
What is with you people and your DARK GOTHIC ZOMG obsession. Blizzard isn't going to change this even if you complain.. and in an interview I heard, they mentioned that they are shooting for "dark as an emotion" rather than having the world literally dark. If you don't like it.. well I mean you could cry some more.. but there isn't much you can do about it. Blizzard is not going to see this and go "Oh you know that game we have been working on for the past 4 years.. scrap all the artwork. All of it. It is crap." They aren't.. why? Because it isn't crap! I like this new approach that Blizzard is taking.. I don't have to shoot my gamma up 100% to see what is going on in game.. Am I going to miss the Gothic feel? No.. because it is still going to be there! We have seen 1% of this game.. this is one small fraction of a zone.. one zone which is a part of an entire WORLD. To think that a lot of you think that the WHOLE GAME is going to look like that first 20 minutes of game play is laughable. You are acting so ungrateful.. Blizzard has just announced this fabulous game.. and the second you see it in action you shot it down. Come on guys.. you have been bitching and moaning for a decade about this game.. We were even threatening to storm Blizzard in Irvine if they didn't announce it.. and when they finally do.. after 10 years of complaining.. you ridicule it. You look down upon it because it has the same art style as "TEH GREAT SATAN KNOWN AS WORLD OF WARCRAFT." Well, my mom used to tell me that beggars can't be choosers. Please at least PRETEND to act greatful. The only excuse for complaining is that when you play this game 2 years from now, it is total crap.. But I can tell you with confidence that it won't be.. because this is Blizzard we are talking about.. They have never released a bad game. Ever. I don't care what you say about WoW.. it is a GOOD GAME.. as is the entire Warcraft series.. as is the entire Starcraft series.. and Lost Vikings is one helluva a good Gameboy Advance game.. so please just have faith. Blizzard knows what they are doing. They are not going to let this game look like crap or be crap.

Blizzard flushed out the Diablo world (a farcry from my floating island map yesterday) and there are going to be plenty of areas. If you choose to return to Lut Gholein.. well look at that it is sunny and bright. Go back up north to what is now called the Dreadlands.. it is dark and gloomy and whatnot. Just have faith people.. Blizzard will deliver on making this game dark and grimey.. just to make the game more realistic.. the whole world isn't going to be dark and scary.

Blizzard dissapointed me again.
If this come to final release as it is right now - this will be one realy not great game.
I even think that Blizz did not create a new engine , but use just the same engine as wow cartoons ( aka games for 12 y old and below kids ).
No darky , no scary atmosphere , just a regulary fast maded game. - just like Russians build them - 1 engine, and then - every day - new game.

What the HELL are you talking about? I don't get why everyone is comparing these graphics to the graphics of WoW.. they look nothing alike IMO. Obviously Blizzard cannot fill the game with extremely hi-poly count models or else you would need a 5k - 6k$ rig to run the game! I personally think the game looks great.. and nothing like WoW.
The monster population seemed just right.. actually.. it seemed like it had a GREATER population than in D2. Remeber D2.. where you could run around for 5 minutes without finding a single mob? Doesn't appear to be like that in this new game. Even if the population of monsters was low and I am full of it.. realize that this isn't the final release.. it was just a demo to show you how the game works. I think that last boss fight was pretty awesome. You see this giant beast emerge from this pit and.. wow. I am totally stoked
No dark and scary atmosphere? What do you call that first area, Disneyland? You had people exploding and worms flying out of them.. you had people blowing themselves up.. it was dark and dank.. I know that that wasn't even the darkest of places. What do you think of Lut Gholein, then? The vast majority of Act 2 takes place outside in the desert sun.. definitely not thee dark and scary Tristram you remember.. I applaud Blizzard for finally making Sanctuary and actual world than just a bunch of floating islands (like I described yesterday). If you look at our world.. it various a lot. The sand dunes of the Sahara have completly different atmosphere than the pine tree filled rain forests of the north.. THIS IS A WORLD.. there are going to be different climates and people. Deal with it.
As for recycling and engine? Blizzard STATED that they created a new game engine JUST FOR THIS GAME. They aren't using the 'WoW engine' like you are insinuating.. this is a brand new game. So PLEASE stop bitching and go read some facts before you start moaning and bitching about how much Blizzard has failed you.
