posted a message on Are fists/claws any good in general?
Because I loved my claw Sin from D2 so much, and because I can't stand the lack of weapons animation for the Monk, I really want to have a dual claw wielding Monk cause at least that way the Monk is using her fists and I can chalk that up to a weapons animation. The problem though is I seem to be constantly finding 1H weapons that are easily better than any claws I ever find. If I'm not mistaken also, there are some passive skills that favor the Monk if they're dual wielding claws. So if anyone using some viable fist weapons for their build or do I really keep having to sling weapons over my back every time I want to attack?

This is seriously one of my all time favorite games. And I'm happy at last to be doing a playthrough of it. It's got the entire cast of the original Star Trek. How can you not love that?

I understand wanting to suck your own schlong
I read somewhere that less than 1 percent of men can actually do that.

My account was actually locked a few days ago. The claim Blizzard made was that I was trying to sell my account which was just ridiculous. But! I called their tech support and I gotta say the woman I talked to was incredibly helpful and polite. She unlocked my account and just to be safe we changed the email address my Bnet account was connected to.

This skill bums me out because on D2, life leach was my fav skill. I could do Uber Trist runs and never die due to life leach. But maybe that is why they changed it so you COULD actually die. lol
In D2, life leech was what kept my Sin alive and actually allowed me to design my own unique build for the class. Like, she couldn't do nearly as much damage as the cookie cutter builds but she could survive, dammit!

Chick Filet's (I'm not spelling it the way they do!) CEO is fucking brilliant to be honest. I've never eaten there before and lately all I can think about is how I want to go get a sandwich there and how somehow the two pickles on it really does sound way good to me.

The only thing that offends me about all this is how lazy people have used it as a way to be political. They go eat a fucking chicken sandwich (which they'd do on any given day) and now suddenly they're showing their support for the anti-gay marriage agenda. Good for you, chicken eaters!

I do love those kinds of sci-fi movies. I've never heard of it so I'll definitely check it out. And honestly, I don't know why everyone hated Event Horizon so bad. I thought it was great!

    1. The Wire - everyone should watch this show probably the best in TV in history. Feels so real, and Omar Little is probably the greatest character in television history. "Its all in the game."
Thank you. And yes, it's one of the best shows I've ever seen. I actually recently finished rewatching it and this time around I think I understood a lot better the way some characters wrapped up in the end and what it meant for them. Especially for Marlo. Before I thought there wasn't enough closure on him but this time I was like, I totally get it!

    Quote from Afro_DemonHunter

    3. The Walking Dead - i just love zombies, and the characters feel realistic to a zombie apocalypse.
While second season certainly tested my patience at times, it also had some of the biggest payoffs. I was very glad I stuck with it. This October! Wooo!

    Quote from Afro_DemonHunter

    5. Board Walk Empire - just a cool show, every episode feels like a well made old school gangster flick.
Been having a harder time getting into this show. I'm on the fifth episode and the character progression has felt rather strange and to be honest I'm a bit confused at times with what's going on. Especially with the Al Capone character and the main character's nephew (forgot his name). However, I've been sticking with it cause I can see it's well made and, well, I have a huge crush on Kelly Macdonald. God, she's so hot.

    6. Weeds - Main character is just so interesting balacing being a singlemom/drugdealer in the suburbs.
Weeds seemed like it had an interesting premise but after watching the pilot, I knew I just couldn't get into it. I know you should give shows a chance beyond the pilot, but this show just felt seriously week. The characters and their motivations and relationships with one another didn't feel real at all.

    Quote from Afro_DemonHunter

I have yet to see breaking bad, but my cousin tells me it would make the list.
I also fully intend to watch this show eventually. Maybe in November.

    Quote from Afro_DemonHunter

I stopped watching lost because of the time machine nonsense I felt so betrayed like I had wasted my time watching the show.
I still haven't watched the final episode. From what I understand, I don't even really need to.

Also South park is the funniest cartoon eva. South Park >>>>> Family guy.
South Park certainly WAS the funniest cartoon ever. Season 10 is probably my favorite. And even for a few seasons after that it managed to hold together, but the last season has been seriously weak as hell with maybe just a couple exceptional episodes. I keep waiting for them to put the effort into each episode the way they did back in the day but when you watch it now you really do feel like they could give a shit.

I'm thoroughly bored of Family Guy for sure.

posted a message on Is Jerry Sandusky crazy or just a coward?
I understand you're point. And I don't necessarily think he's crazy. Though he probably does have at least SOME diagnosable mental illness, but who doesn't these days?

I think the issue I was taking with what you said though, was whether he was inherently morally wrong, or just had preferences incompatible with mainstream society. I mean, is murder inherently immoral or do some people just need to murder and that's their preference? Obviously the example doesn't work as well with murder but the points the same: being that at some point in order to have a society, it's necessary to make known what is right and wrong, for the sake of being a part of that society.

And yeah, morals and values do change over time, but we've also managed to establish more of our morals (I believe so anyway) on a scientific foundation rather than just our ideals. So we make laws to protect people against harm and punish those who do harm and those laws are arguably moral laws as well as practical laws. And as we understand more about psychology, physiology, sociology, even the science of government, we are in a far better position now to say what is right on wrong than we were at the beginning of civilization. We move backwards too, unfortunately, and make laws solely on our ideals. But some feel that without doing so you create an amoral society where anything goes and at some point you have to just start saying what is right and wrong then you have just a nihilistic society with no sense of direction.

And then straying off topic a bit, then you start getting into the role of government. Since a part of government's role is to make and enforce laws, they couldn't always make laws just on the basic of science and cost/benefit analyses. Somewhere along the line you have to state to some degree that this is how things SHOULD be and not just declare this is how they are. Unfortunately, today, too many people state how society should be without acknowledging the obvious ways in which we are, and then managing the costs of those realities.

Funny thing is, at first I wrote "random mute assholes" but then I knew somebody would make a fart joke. So then I thought, maybe if I put some space in between "mute" and "asshole" then someone's less likely to be predictable in their response. So it's my fault, really, for overestimating you.

That can work if your organized.

If your in an Act farming, and can breeze through it, have one guy tank, and another MF/GF, etc.

Shared MF can actually work out pretty good.
There's no organization. Guess that's my fault for not having a wider social net, but mostly I'm just joining games with mute random assholes.

Well I got home last night and it turned out it came in the regular mail.

I was quite happy but apparently OCZ Agility 3's come locked with SATA 2 for some reason and you gotta do all these extra steps to make sure it's running at full speed. So even though it's fast right now, it will be even faster once I fix this problem. Cause now I'm only getting about 200mb read and write speeds.
