Quote fromWatch the gameplay vid again..they say that only the first act is ready..
Kieran, thanks for the nice description.
only the first act is ready. The other acts are probably partially finished.
Like everyone said, they've been working on this for a while and it looks late in development.
Blizzard may be downplaying their progress just to be safe. I actually think these gaming websites are more or less right.
D3 will be here in a year, 1.5 years max.

D1 and D2 sounded pretty epic to me...
One hero taking on the devil himself..

Please stop about diablo 3 and realism.

I agree. I wish Blizzard hadn't announced D3 back at the WWI. It would of saved us this agony.

Yeah. I can see horrify being used as an uber team skill. Horrify all the mobs, let the mage/ranged class pick em all off without even getting a scratch.
Not bad...

well maybe lesser demons run away from more powerful demons.
But back to my original question...

Perhaps if D3 will be REALLY difficult and death is at every corner, then yea, horrify would be good for regrouping and holding off hordes of enemies while ur ranged units pick em off. But, like i said, the game has to be hard and monsters have to be ferociously deadly.

There is no reason to leave out the merc--they were fun and an enjoyable gameplay element.

No man. They should be sidekicks. A barb merc should still kick some ass but not as much as you.
A bow based merc should be able to pick off enemies and damage bosses.
I also think that the merc system should have attack and defend features. Aggressive, defensive, etc.

We don't NEED them. They're just fun.
Lighten up.

oh oops, 20.

uhh well it depends on how blizzard gives the skill value. And we don't know that. But I'm guessing a max 5/5 skill is at the same level as a 20/20 skill. Maybe the 5/5 skill is an ultimate and levels at 1/4 the rate.

100/20 = 5
100/5 = 10
Either way, they all make up 100 somehow. My point is, the potential of each skill seems to be the same, it's just that the frequency of leveling is different. But it's still proportional.

I have a good feeling they won't update anything (i mean new media, video, etc.) for at least a month.
How about we make it 2 weeks?
0
Obviously there is no way to verify if you're going to do this, so lets do this for fun.
The wait for D3 is killing me. And I dont want that.
I'm going to make a pact with myself that I wont check anything diablo 3 related for exactly 1 MONTH!
Hopefully, by the time I come back, there will be some kind of update, otherwise, I don't want to speculate over and over again on the same info--it will make things lame and mundane, which diablo 3 should never be.
Who's with me? It's a challenge, yes, but it may help our sanity!
If you're going to do it, state so and let's see if we really can do it!
Tonight will be the last night, then the pact will start tomorrow until 30 or 31 so days.
