IMHO the meta sucks because of only one dps is needed. A player spends months collecting all kinds of dps gear for all the classes and then has to put it all aside to play support. What a lame conclusion for a fantasy game. The meta should only need one or two supports, and all classes should be capable of playing in a four player group. Any other conclusion is bad game design. At least with Firebird the dps will not be one stupid wizard attacking a corner of a wall. How lame is that for a meta? I'm one of the strongest heroes on the board because I attack walls so nicely! LAME.

eple posted a message on 2.4.1. Patch / The Meta ThreadPosted in: Diablo III General DiscussionSo the lag issues is the root cause of the meta problem, since as a work-around support specs suddenly gets "usable" in an ARPG.
Sadly everything is much better when every player is considered to be dps, even when bringing the same group buffs.
Diablo was always about having the player feeling godly and slaughtering mobs, having 3 "support" to make 1 dps feeling godly doesnt feel good for those 3 support.
When Blizzard decided to not hotfix terribly overpowered mechanics during seasons they only add more fuel to this meta problem.
Hotfixing stuff like twisted sword or Firebirds could be done anytime atleast in the earlier months of the season.
How poorly the balancing is in group play compared to soloplay is a bigger issue than 1 set for 1 class.
Balancing classes and solo vs group play would solve this meta problem, in addition to the technical lag issues ofc.

TheInfiniteIce posted a message on using T-HUD cuz of the interface of the game its verry bad, all agree?Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from AtACarnivorus
What
the hell is wrong with the game interface? It's fine. One can play the
game as it is, have fun and is able to push into the leaderboards.
I don't fu**ing get it. Blizzards banhammer should hit THUDers as hard as botters!
Yea, one can travel cross-country 'as they are' too, by foot, but we still generally use airplanes or cars because they are faster and more convenient. Sorry, but 'it's usable' is not a very good argument. Things advance because people want specific needs fulfilled, and the user interface is, for many, not fulfilling those needs.
In terms of speed of gaining useful information and convenience of the player gleaning that information, there are many things wrong with the default game interface, but my biggest complaint by far is with lack of displaying NUMBERS. Health, Mana, & Cooldowns, especially.
Why can I not see how much health I have, AS A NUMBER, without mousing over the orb mid-combat? Same thing with mana, spirit, fury., etc. Resource management is essential when you have 2-3 skills with limited duration buffs to you/debuffs to affected mobs and you need to use them all together.
They all cost [resource]? Guess you just have to make a visual guesstimation of whether or not you have the cost of all 3 spells' worth of resource available to you currently. Since, for some unknown reason, it's simply 'too much information' to tell players HOW MUCH MANA THEY HAVE unless they move their cursor to the bottom edge of the monitor to look.
Either that or stop using your left-click skill mid fight, to hover over the globe, then re-position your mouse to continue. Yes, you can hold down left-click to not be interrupted, but you are going to change which direction you are attacking in, and still wasting time focusing on a popup tooltip and moving your cursor back and forth, which generally prevents you from split-second reactions/decisions which may occur during this time. This won't happen constantly, but it WILL HAPPEN.
Same thing with health numbers. There's even a legendary potion that grants you resource when used below a certain health percentage. Guess I just have to hover my mouse over, during a critical time of the fight (when you may DIE...you're using a potion at low health. So yea, you might die, but you have to go look at the health globe with your cursor to see your health number.) Either that or take a guess as to where 50% of the health globe is, and if you're below it. Used potion at 55%? Too bad, we didn't want you to have 'too much information'.
It's also apparently 'too much information' to tell players exact cooldowns of their skills, but a radial shading dial is not too much at all. Why do I have to guess if the 'shadow that revolves around the square icon is more than 60% done?' Why can't it just say 1.5s on it? I'm playing a game, not trying to read a sundial. We have computers, with numbers and shit. Sundials went out of style back in the medieval ages.
Why are these not even toggleable options for 'advanced' players in the options menus? Players are not that stupid. It's not 'too much' information. Hell, even Elective mode & Advanced tooltips should be on by default.

i have mostly 16bit flacs. but have some SaCDs too.
i ll use it mostly in bus. not loudy as streets i think.
my preferred device is zx100 with sony XBA-Z5 headphones. also have Fiio E6 amp.
ofcourse there is better options then sony players but i think other devices cost me even more. for long years i trust sony's quality and its just enough for me. example my walkman still works that i bought at 98. and my discman works just fine over 15yrs old.
im not an ''audiophile'' for sure but i want to listen better sound with an easy portable setup.
Well, it seems that you've got a pretty good setup here with XBA-Z5 and Fiio E6. Didn't now the level of your headphones when writing my comment. I think that ZX100 will be a good variant for you then, the only alternative for that price being ASTELL&KERN AK Jr. However, I've heard that it has some troubles with Windows 10 or MacOS so if you don't want to dance around it with tambourine, just buy ZX100.
I don't think that more powerful players like Colorfly C4 or ASTELL&KERN AK120 will give you a improvement in sound quality over ZX100 that is worth paying for, at least if you're not in the quiet room. I personally use Beyerdynamic T1 and (with proper amp) couldn't find any real differences between my iBasso DX100 and Colorful C4. So I wouldn't spend my money on something that I all the same would not be able to hear. But it's up to your own ears
BTW, I'm sure that a lot of people will call you "Crazy Audiophile" just looking at the price of your headphones -

TurkNukem posted a message on PTR 2.3 WD zeroGARG build! 2 bil aoe hitsPosted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru EikuraHere is the build i tested on ptr 2.3.. I wanted do this build since blizzard introduced "the short man's finger" but the ring is only viable with the rune "wrathful protector" which lasts only 15 seconds with a 60 second cooldown. Now we have the kanai's cube and we can work around things better thus i bring you guys my long time "anticipated" build. Zerogarg build! Please note that the build is not technically 100% cooldown, however it lets you summon yr gargs just on time so you can have it up 100 % time..

shinjiIkari666 posted a message on Kanai's Cube - Which affixes will you copy?Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionI would love this idea im just extremely sketchy about it...They took out mortics brace and now theres idea about 3! dps or support class passives...Dagger of darts, tals and kriders would be pushing WAY higher then they do now. which is really the only builds pushing right now. I mean Ive done 57 in 3 player with a dod/wd/crus...fairly easy...ill deff ptr this and recently ive ditched ptr completely...

actuallly i really like that news. dont like john after Morticks accident. maybe new designers will make game better.

definetely will get stash but like a few last seasons i ll quit D3 after a month or less.
i cant keep up with most of players about paragons. that means i dont have any chance to compete for leaderboards. after a month discovering new things and having some fun i ll quit d3 till next season.

i dont have a word to seasonal rewards. if u play season and u get rewards for it .
but a stash tab for playing season is just seems unfair. i got 2 stash character already. need more stash badly as always.after every new content patch stash issue getting bigger.
1
so far i understand they give 5 more stash tab for buying but also u got chance to get extra 1 for playing season journey. i dont mind season only legs or cosmetic rewards but that stash tab issue includes non season too.

i really wanna play with old barb that can fight mobs without using cc or running away.
Crusaders are better melee for sure. u can play easily with around 1k all ress. and can do more dps. without FC pulling rune barbs are just nothing.
live servers barbs are still nothing but FC Raekor. just using advantage of pulling mobs nothing more.
