Old Star Wars often looked much more real than new Star Wars, as well. I am not too confident in their 3D modeling skills for the moment...
Agreed... and the updated versions Georgey forced on us reflected that fact. The only good thing about those new editions were the panoramic shots of Mos Eisley, Cloud City, etc... the new creature effects, particularly the extended music/dance scene at Jabba's lair really sucked ass.
I liked them both, but it kind of bothered me the way Blizz chose to distance themselves from real world religion. The Christian symbolism from Diablo was undeniable, but they watered it down quite a bit in Diablo II. To me it looked like bowing to political correctness.
That being said, I still loved Diablo II... and played it for years.
World of Warcraft is a great game, however the reason I think you should stay away from it (and why I'm mad at Blizzard ) is because it is addicting. This video is an actual broadcast from BBC explaining my argument.
The writing is done by Micky Neilson -- this is a Blizzard Creative Design Team writer. He is like Chris Metzen's right hand so to speak. He wrote Starcraft: Uprising and the Unbroken story (Burning Crusade).
Regardless, I stand by what I said. Mr. Nelson is certainly no George R.R. Martin, or even R.A. Salvatore. I just wish the characters and story had more depth.

A: Not according to most of the posters at this site.
Thanks for clarifying!

Diablo is not an RPG, but yea... it beats out Mythos and Hellgate.
Mythos is actually fun for awhile, not a bad game.
