Cain DID TP out though, at least I think so.

Hopefully they keep them around. Maybe just make like a 5 minute cool down on the scrolls and more waypoints. Or something.

I meant he didn't tp out right away, the Barb had to get him back to the entrance of the dungeon.

Town portals has the same problem as potions. It's a broken mechanic that makes the game too easy, Like what challenge can there be if you can just run away at any time and get yourself healed and just go on as if you had infinite hp/mana.

I'm pretty you'll only be able to use TPs at those checkpoints and that's probably why in the trailer Cain didn't just tp himself out right away like in D2.

Somebody said anything about Town Portals? Portals are back, we've seen one in the gameplay trailer!

I have a weird feeling that these checkpoints are actually "neutral" zones without any monsters in it, and that it is also the only places where you can use a tp. Ever noticed the lack of mob in most dungeon entrances in the previous Diablos? Sounds like an ideal place to put checkpoints.

I had problems with Vista too on my laptop.

Right click on Diablo 2's icon and select the compatibilty tab, select Windows XP Service Pack 2 and check the 256 colors box and it should work normally. It worked for me.

Think about it; why would Blizzard even consider creating a class that they expect people will hate.

I think that they are trying to downplay hype so when people see the next class, they will be like "wow, that's better than I expected."

However, I do not agree with their tact of downplay. That's just not the way we do things. That's like telling your teacher "my essay sucks because ____" in order to get a better grade.

Do you agree with me, or do you have an alternative theory?

Assuming that Blizz does a kick ass job like usual, I can see 2 reasons for why people would hate a new class

    1) Because Blizz didn't showcase the coolest aspect of that class leaving the best for ourselves to discover

    2) Because Diablo 3 isn't out yet :P

The humans of Sanctuary have bred so much that most of the people have VERY little of the Nephalem left in them.

At least that's how I see it.

That's not how it works, the people still have the power of the Nephalem but they are just not aware of it and they can't learn how to use it without exterior help because of the effects the Worldstone had on them.

As a side note, Rathma does mention that the power mutates with the generations and that Uldyssian possesses power that he doesn't have and vice versa.

Not that I'm aware of, there are a few references to him in the Barbarian section in the D2 manual and some items in the game bear his name, but if anything there's more info on Bul-Kathos in the Sin War trilogy than anywhere else.

Also we don't know what happen to them and they are immortal, so there's a chance we'll meet with them in D3 ;)

Every human in Diablo are the descendants of the Nephalems the latter being the first few generations of humans created by the union of angels and demons. Every human has the power of the Nephalem but they need help for it to first manifest within themselves.

If you look at some classes from D2 like the Barbarian and the Necromancer, they have at least one ancestor who was one of the firstborn like Bul Kathos and Rathma, so the Nephalems aren't a class in itself.

I remember that quote but I didn't get the point :D

Sorry I thought I read how will Diablo be in D3 :D

Kingdom of Shadow hinted some sort of link between Diablo and Ureh (mainly through its ruler Juris Khan). Since Ureh is lost between Heaven and Hell, I think it's possible that it will play an important role in the return of Diablo.

    Like this maybe?

Inarius: Your little games will not work on me, demon! You forget with whom you deal!

Diablo: I deal with a traitor, a liar, and a murderer. It’s almost like dealing with one of my brothers.

The Shadow moved. Within it, a figure vaguely coalesced.

Inarius showed no sign of anxiety when that figure became another winged warrior he knew so well. “You are not Tyrael, and I am not afraid of him.”

Are you not? Then why do I resemble him?

    …Now he was a human… Uldyssian ul-Diomed.

Inarius: You have some reason for approaching me. Do so without the theatrics!

…The demon grew less distinct and certainly far less human. He became as much imagination as substance…

…it was the face that most stirred the fears within, for it kept shifting… A more reptilian face then appeared, feminine and much like that of another demon Inarius had known… vanished a moment later to be replaced again by that of the other angel… the demon laughed and changed again. Now empty shadow greeted Inarius… disturbed him more than any of his visitor’s other forms.

    Is this better, oh Prophet?

Hmmm, a sword wielding guy fighting for good using the force of darkness. That's sounds like a Blizzard cliche (Necromancer, Dark Templar... cough cough...), that's how you know it's good. I'd love to have a Dark Knight as a class, that's why I made this thread a while ago.

I'm diggin it. I just hope I don't have to stand around and wait for it to resurface just so I can kill it.

Looking at how Blizz is working on monsters mechanic I think you should be more worried about what skill you'll need to use to get it to unburrow. ;)

hopefully they won't make that desert place act 2 otherwise ill shoot someone

From how things look right now I'd say that's how Act 2 will begin, but since Caldeum is just next to Ureh I think it will end up looking quite different.

Told you it would be a new bestiary entry... the Dune Threser is much cooler than the Fallen though:cool:

The new screenshots are way too repetitive, and there's still like almost a month left before Blizzcon. Ah but what are you gonna do about it huh?
