Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote fromIt may have been mentioned, but it seems the Barbarian is no longer using mana as a resource for skills. You can see the "mana" globe change colors as the player switches from Barbarian to Witch Doctor. It might be "Fury" or something instead. Might open up for making each class even more special.
Also seems they have skipped the old levels of a dungeon, so now it is one big merged thing.
Like blade2006 said, I think that it's a stamina globe.

I can't say that WoW is a bad game, because I haven't played it. I guess the fact that about ten million players play it is proof that it's actually quite good. However, I have a social life and can't dedicate more time to a MMORPG. There is not a single thing which everyone is going to like.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
As to the graphics, it's a shame that D3 has so much WoW graphics influence. Nevertheless, the gameplay should be good.

Yes, the shoulderslots are a nice addition. Although with WoW graphics influence they are three times bigger than the head of the character who is wearing them. I don't really care though, because the gameplay should be great, as it's a Blizzard game. Let's just hope it will be finished soon enough. There clearly are a lot of unfinished elements in the game, and I guess SC II will get released first.
I think they should bring back the grid inventory system. The small item graphics also annoy me, as someone else pointed out. Why should an ancient axe be the same size as a dagger in the inventory, it doesn't make sense.
These things, and a little more darkness, would make the game perfect to me. I can't wait to get to know the storyline.

Ok i will add sth from myself. I just HOPE HOPE HOPE that there will be no 1-3 additional properties in the items. You know what i mean? Like in those Diablo-like games (Titan Quest, Loki) these weapons had very small variety of additional properties. Here i can see only one so far (i could have missed some picture), sth like "17-42 additional fire damages" (it's just pure shot, don't kill me ^^), and in Diablo 2 in "Yellow" items, there could have been 1 additional attribute, but you could have found +10 of them!! I wish it was the same now Coz it was very cool about Diablo 2 items.
Indeed, the Diablo item attribute system is arguably the best around. It creates virtually endless variations of items.
I guess the small bag was meant to be used in the four "bag" slots in the inventory. They probably provide more storage, and you find larger bags as you progress in the game. We will see.

Personally, I like the new colorful and small skill icons. But I guess it's just a thing of personal taste. The things that bother me is the most are like many people have already pointed out, the graphics similarities with WoW and the overall colorfulness. I hope that with all these complaints Blizzard will alter it just a bit. After all, the game is nowhere near completion.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
@Duckman Drake - Yes the TPs are awesome, love them too. :)
@DeepFreez - I agree, we don't know if the health globes will allow us to march through the game with easiness. I personally have mixed feelings about the orbs. The good side is that I never liked to restock potions, it made my mouse hurt. The negative thing which I see in them is that they are kind of an arcade component in the game. On the other hand, too much realism hurt many games already.

Edit: Or PM a mod for thread merge
This post took me a long time to do and I didn't notice it, because I only checked before posting. Apologies to the OP who made the first thread, when a mod sees this I hope he merges it.
