Actually you are incorrect. He simply stated the ranking of the games via retail sales. This is a fact, not a diss, he misinterpreted it as a diss, that was his only mistake. Then he began to voice his opinion that starcraft is a great game. Nowhere did he insult the franchise.
If you looked at the rest of the post that you have quoted from me, I have quoted two of his posts on this exact thread whcih contradict each other. One quote he admits he dissed the Starcraft franchise and the other he denies it. That is a contradiction according to the definition of the dictionary i have looekd up and posted.

I never said anything about starcraft failing in the gaming world... I said it was the least popular blizzard franchise out of Starcraft, Warcraft and Diablo... AND that wasn't even my point.
Warcraft orcs & humans and then Warcraft 2 got Blizzard it's fame and made it well known, Diablo II was the game that began their money mountain, with 18.5 million sales.... Starcraft was a great game, but lived in the shadow of WC2 and D2.
Starcraft is Brilliant, all their games are a success, well done, fun to play. Starcraft ghost was never even completed or released on any level, it was a whole new gaming platform as opposed to a direct sequel... so no, you can't compare it to Diablo 3
