kind of ridiculas that theyre not going to ban anyone or even roll them back, typical diablo. i hope many people quit the game from this and stop buying theyre expansions.
Who says they're not investigating logs to gather information on who may have abused the exploit?

You didn't see them immediately throwing out bans when the Auction House exploit was discovered and ran rampant for a few hours; those bans didn't happen until the Auction House was taken down and logs were investigated since it was easy to see who suddenly had multi-billions of gold out of thin air. Experience would be a little more difficult to track and compare to "draw a line" on what may have been exploiting and what wasn't, not to mention that kind of information probably isn't logged down on a file as readable as the Auction House logs.

I see nothing in that code of conduct saying you can't abuse exploits that are written into the code of the game. there is no provision for banning those who use them. Calling for bans on players who use this exploit is stupid and unjustified. I don't care what others do with their game. I will play mine. What's the big deal?
...so there needs to be an expressly written rule stating you can't abuse bugs or exploits?

    Well then: http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/legal/eula.html
    License Limitations.
You agree and acknowledge that the foregoing license is revoked any time that you violate, or assist others in violating, the license limitations set forth below. You agree that you will not, in whole or in part or under any circumstances, do the following:

Cheating: Create, use, offer, advertise, make available and/or distribute the following or assist therein:

    Cheats; i.e. methods, not expressly authorized by Blizzard, influencing and/or facilitating the gameplay, including exploits of any in-game bugs, and thereby granting you and/or any other user an advantage over other players not using such methods;

If only people who jumped on exploitwagons actually paid attention to this stuff so they can't run crying when they do get banned, because if Blizzard can see who was abusing such exploit, has full right to ban these users as they see fit.

You seem like a good forumer, enjoy your stay. Im, pretty sure the higher ups will let you bypass the 100 post requirement to join our guild (SICK) which needs a lot of work to get back up and running (that is if you don' t already have one)

No, I don't have a guild, and looking over it, it says I have to make a new account. I don't want to lose my level 91 Hammerdin and level 84 Smiter...

I'm not entirely sure how or where I'm going to do this, whether here or on an IRC channel on Gamesurge (perhaps #diablo3 or a channel of my own), but perhaps it'll get a bit more success here than the other forums.

Whenever I play Diablo II and when I go MFing, I find a LOT of stuff that I don't need or keep, and the things I keep are usually stuffed onto a mule to gather dust. The items stuffed on a mule just sit there, they don't even get an attempt at being traded for stuff that I need, and I usually give it out anyways.

Perhaps I can take some input as to which would be the best method for giving the items out, or I could just take a small list (perhaps 2-3) of items people need (Sets or Uniques only, and no extremely rare pieces, IE Death Cleaver, and no runes above Lem).

I might start this up within the next week, so when (if) I decide on something, or if there's a more favored opinion posted, it'll be done. :D

Some that were in the #diablo3 channel probably noticed me in there, so I figure I might as well introduce myself and whatnot.

My name is Zoen (or Kevin, whichever you'd like to call me). I was directed here due to a post on RPGForums, where I am an admin.

In the post, it mentioned this site, and the announcement that was to take place on May 1st. It piqued my interest, so I decided to hop in and see what it was about. I suppose that helping around a bit in the channel with the information that I had learned from watching the chat, as well as a few other things ended up making me an op in the channel.

Well, as for other news, right now, I'm on-and-off of Diablo II, and when I'm on, I like to help others, mostly those who are either new players, those that have absolutely nothing, and those that are in desperate need of something. I am a fully legit MFer (no hacks and no bots). I am fully manual. Some people think I'm crazy for it, but I actually like playing this way.

I have my own style of MFing which has landed me quite a lot of wealth in the past season on USEast, Ladder Season 3. Of those, my luckiest run would include a Crown of Ages (2 sockets, 14 damage reduction, 28 all resists) and an Ohm rune within 15 seconds of each other, and I had found both of those before I had even gotten to the Worldstone level 3. My streak of finds on some days has made several people on RPGF call me the luckiest man on D2, but I know there are some that are luckier than me. :P

Anyways, I might stick around here for a while, and in the future, I might make a thread or something for people who might need stuff on Diablo II USWest Softcore Ladder if anyone here is still into it. :P
