Yeah I got a Primal Manticore from before, never gonna use it now, I'm better off running Yang's and just cubing Manticore.

posted a message on Non-season leveling gear for Necromancer

levelling gear isn't needed, even solo can hit 70 in about 20 mins just from doing rifts with a gem of ease weapon, time spent on 13 level 25 gems of ease is time you could have farmed more death breath or hellfire materials, bounties to reroll and get an ancient weapon.

Thinking about them once I started playing the patch, getting a primal off hand will be good because we could never use enchanting to re-roll the average damage stat on orbs and mojos

I want a primal manticore, definitely want it for the maximum %skill damage and resource cost reduction, items like that I always find roll one really well and the other really bad for me.

    https://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/manticore

I'd love to get a primal ancient of this weapon, so yes it is worth it, getting rolls of perfect values is godsend considering that 30% boost was never ging to effect the important % based stats.

I'm fed up of getting weapons where rolling % weapon damage feels like a waste because the average damage rolls were mediocre.

yes, character class, not character build.

posted a message on upcoming changes primal 14/2 pluepost

I'm loving the ancient primal change, looking forward to getting an upgrade without having to spend 20 mins just re-rolling the average min-max damage stat, or to get that 100% crit damage on an amulet.

Or my biggest annoyance, rolling % elemental damage and getting 19-20% on the elements you don't want, then finally getting the element you do want but it was only a 16% roll so you have to start all over again.

posted a message on Primal Ancient Legendaries

I'm despairing at this point. I didn't like Ancient items and now the problem is going to get even worse. Paragon power is relative to other players, so even if these items gave you 5000 main stats each, it would do nothing to limit the advantage of people with 2-3X more paragon levels than another player.

Just imagine the paragon XP per hour rate we are going to see when players readjust to a higher Grift level of speed farming.

If you want to limit paragon, simply count at most the first 1000 paragon points in greater rifts, easy.

(hey, what happened to per season rule changes and experimentation, why not run a season with no paragon points and see how well it works)

with the right stats and the right value rolls, leads to about 8-10 items of the same type needing to be found and now it's going to be 8-10 primal ancient legendaries before we get that worthwhile item. it's bad enough that we trash 90% of the legendary items we find already, it's not encouraging to see that number get higher.

Who knows, in a few more patches, are we going to need another set of difficulties, torment 14-16 to account for the new levels of power, T1-13 is already absurd as it is.

People complain about people running inefficient torment levels, but quite frankly with so many available it's no wonder that some players don't have any clue which one would be sensible to run. Their is a reason why restaurants don't give you ten-page menus, because it's too many options.

posted a message on Do rares get a look at before salvaging?

at the start of a season, rare rings and amulets are about as good as legendaries stat wise.

rare weapons can be worth picking up because they are valuable for the Upgrade to legendary kunai cube recipe.

Being able to get an ancient legendary witch doctor dagger on the first day of a season is a great boost. much more reliable than spending 75 blood shards on a random 1 handed weapon.

It's a good amulet, poison is a common rift boss element plus it defends against the wasps and the dogs that leave a poison explosion when they die.

posted a message on Patch 2.4: ULTIMATE GUIDE for Season 5!

Why does nobody use the jeweler to make rare rings/amulets, the four affixes on a rare ring is way better than searching for blue rings off merchants. I think it's especially worth it since they changed the http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/nagelring so you have way less chances to get it before the level 31 to craft rings.

    Nagelring

    • Level required for this to drop has been raised from 11 to 40

first lvl to craft rings is 29
but you need gems and 10k gold for it

and often this won't make much difference
I consider that good value the low level gems have no value and you don't use up the salvaged crafting materials, it gets even better once you hit 70 because you always get the full 6 affixes
