posted a message on The Druid
This is my official theory for the next revealed class. A completely revamped version of the druid. I think, and I believe that Blizzard would probably agree with me, that the druid was the most poorly done class in Diablo 2. The only tree that had any decent damage was the elements, but that was sort of sorc territory. So here is my theory for the revamped Druid class.

    Skill tree #1: Shape shifting

As in diablo 2, the druid would be able to shape shift into various animals for melee damage. The difference would be that the druid can still use magic in this form. The skills I suppose would be similar in this form as in the previous game. The shape shifts could help not only melee damage this way, but also magic damage.

    Skill tree #2: Bows

This tree would be like the equivalent to the Amazon bow tree. Being able to use a bow in different ways.

    Skill tree #3: Life Magic

I believe the magic in Diablo 2 for the druid was... an odd choice. Since when do druids control the elements? They control trees, and animals. And the magic of this tree is focused around that. Magic skills such as adding poison, or other effects, to your attacks. Casting skills on trees to make them your servants for a short amount of time. Using tree roots from the ground to impale your enemies. Summon wolves which leap after enemies and disappear after striking. He controls the forces of life itself. The possibilities for this kind of magic would be all new to the Diablo world and very exciting for new and old players to the Diablo world.

So this is my theory. Even though I REALLY wanted the Necro to be the last class... it doesn't look to happen.

Anyone else notice that on the character selection page there is now a full moon. They recently changed it... here.

Do you think this could be a hint at the next character class... maybe a druid themed archer or something...

I think the classes people are expecting to change are the warrior type classes, the magic type, and the archer type. The only real classes that could be a disappointment for their old fans are Necro and Paladin... and since they already disappointed the Necro fans... I think this will be a holy warrior. Only class that makes sense.

I actually think that the book and the movie are equal. While the book has many more scenes than the movie, and the way Tyler and the narrator meet is cooler, (in my opinion) the ending of the movie is way better than the ending of the book. Even Chuck Palahniuk said so.

Alot of games do this, I was surprised that WoW didnt. As such, i could see D3 go either way. But yes, itd be nice if Blizzard would set up a nocturnal and diurnal system that actually affected something.

Well it is totally like Blizzard to take someones good idea and make it ten million times better and then put it into the game. I can't wait to see what they do. No matter what I'm going to love Diablo 3. I just can't wait for it. I've been a Blizzard fan for as long as I can remember. My dad got Lost Vikings after it got a little popular and then got Warcraft: Orcs VS Humans when it first came out. I've loved Blizzard every since.

I think they already said that bosses could drop globes when their health is getting lower and also the bosses now might have some friends to join battle against you that will drop globes. So it is not only the boss you are fighting but their minions also.

It's been confirmed that Barbarian is only returning playable class in D3.. rest should be something new and innovative, not the same stuff we have already seen.

5 good classes with a very different skills and style are better than 10 classes where there are practically only 5 different ones since some of them have overlapping skills and styles.. Besides making up class balance for 5 classes is a lot easier than more.

It's been pretty much confirmed that you can't change the looks. But Diablo has always been an item game. Items will make your look. What good is a haircut when you have helmet on? I just hope we will get more variation in the items like before LOD had with pretty much everyone wearing different rares.

Ach no mounts to Diablo world.. it belongs to wow. Not many RPG games have these anyways. In diablo world traveling has always been fast so mount isn't really needed. I would also want to ditch the mercenary system that is now in D2. They could be some occasional help but not full time "free" AI that is almost as strong as any other player if equipped properly.

Well it is nice to know that the bosses will drop health. Where did you find that they said no Diablo 2 characters besides the Barbarian would be in the game, I would very much like to read that article. And hell, I'm pretty much willing to wait as long as it may take for them to add more classes. Maybe in the expansion tho.

I would REALLY like it if you could change your looks... because well... looking like everyone else is sort of lame.

I like mounts alright. But now that I think about it... in Diablo they probably wouldn't be of much use because there are enemies freaking everywhere.

I love so many creatures in the Diablo series, but I particularly like the Imps in act V, not because they are cool, but because they are annoying as hell, and you have to be creative to catch them. Killing each one is satisfyingly because they run so much.

The old monsters in Diablo 1 were all cool, and most were remade. And I hope they keep that going.

One thing I would like to see would be monsters like Vampires, Werewolves, whatever, Things that can only be killed with certain moves. I also really REALLY want night and day features in Diablo 3. Where certain monsters come at at night, and some come out only during a certain hour and are more rare.

Also... Diablo 3 isn't done yet. They might add more details as the process goes on. But... Diablo 3 has sharper details than Diablo 2 has, even if there are more details in Diablo 2 *which I don't really agree with.*

You are mistaken...they have specifically stated that the necro and possibly other d2 classes will most likely appear as a playable character in an expansion.

    Thanks for the info!

    posted a message on Suggestions!
Hi. I'm pretty new to the forum. I've been playing Diablo since Diablo 1 came out when I was about 10 years old. Here are some of my suggestions.

PvP suggestions. Instead of making there be a limit to what level can be hostiled. Make a tab where people can control what level people can hostile them, or if players can hostile them at all. Make it so you don't lose anything by dueling unless you put something up for grabs, in which you can choose how many times they have to win. Also make sure no player can kill you while you have no armor on because you need to pick up your body.

PvE suggestions. While the idea of the health globes is cool. I think potions having cool downs is alright... as long as there is a food source, or another source that can be used during long boss fights when no globes will drop.

Character Class Suggestions. I think the Witch Doctor is cool and all... but he doesn't have the same feel as the :necro: Who I want to see in the new game, but with more of the books flavor. I think the idea of shape shifting was cool. I think a lot of people played the druid just because he could do something no other class could *even though in general it sucked*. But I would like to see more shape shifting for both the necro class, and the Holy/Paladin class. The necro either changing into a demon (as I read someone suggested, I like that one) or changing into something undead. While the holy class could change into either an angel, or something angelic, making angelic swords, making wings, angelic armor, kind of enchantments.

Also there has always been a mage in the game, and an archer class. I would like to see both these held onto, but new classes are always good, why does there only have to be 5? I would LOVE to see more than just 5.

Also a high level of customizable looks and features like hair styles, height, weight, and facial look. Seeing someone who looks exactly like you in the game... makes it feel like you aren't really so unique in the game. In a game where you are supposed to be a legendary hero destroying horrible demons.

And I really hope that the world is HUGE, I love exploring and finding new areas that are beautiful, dark, exotic, disturbing, areas. But this does not mean I think it would be like World Of Slowcraft where you have to travel for 20 minutes to a town, and grind out small creatures in one area who are easy to kill. Diablo has never been about walking 15 minutes to whatever town. So I would like to see not just town portals, but being able to choose what town to portal to (based on what towns you have been to) and also I would like to see something similar to way points, with the instant travel between towns you have been to, and areas you have been to. No waiting on a flying thing to get where you want to go.

Also, mounts. Mounts as I am sure Blizzard already knows, are awesome. Everyone loves them. Mounts. That is all I have to say about if mounts should be in the game. But also I would like to see mounts that don't just disappear would you get off of them. I think it would be cool if it was like a mercenary and followed you and you have to actually protect it, and something like a wolf mount, or a dragon mount was in existence and could actually help you fight. Hey maybe mounts could actually level up as they fought, becoming faster, or stronger.

Well that is it for my suggestions. Hope I didn't bore everyone to death.

3:19 -- Wilson says the witch doctor is not the evolved version of Diablo II's necromancer.

The Necro has been in almost every Diablo book, and it is one of the most played classes of all. I think instead of the witch doctor being a replacement, I think the Necro will have new skill trees, or whatever they are going to use. I think it would be cool if the Necro had almost assassin like skills for the dagger, as they do in the books. The Necro I think WILL be in Diablo 3, even if completely different. I think he will be awesome.

posted a message on PvP Still a Work in Progress - Ideas
I have an idea for how PvP could work. Have a tab for it, on every individual character. In the tab there is a turn PvP on, or off button, when it is off, people can't hostile you. Also if you leave PvP on there can be a slider bar where you can set the max level of someone who wanted to hostile you. Problem solved.

Also make sure there are games where turning PvP off isn't available. PvP games.
