Could be that if you are at 100% mana, it doesnt actually generate any resource? Try to empty some mana, then see if it does more damage maybe.

Depth Diggers that is, forgot to quote :D

Thanks for the replies. I will see if I can optimize a bit, since this is just a side-project char I have wasted my db's and veiled crystals on other chars so I havent been able to fix all stats etc. But maybe its normal then, I just expected things to die faster, especially considering how fast stuff dies with the arachyrs set. But will make the changes that you suggested (that I have items for) and see if it gets better!

posted a message on LoN + Locust Swarm = shit damage?

    Hey,

I am currently running a LoN lazybuild on a farm character, but the damage is complete garbage. Killing a yellow mob takes ages. I have 12 ancients including the ring, the only non-ancient is my Vile Hive offhand, no other set items equipped, SMF in cube. Humongoid gargs hit for roughly 1 billion, Locust Swarm ticks for around 50 million. This seem really low, but is it too low or is this normal numbers? As comparasion, my gargs hit for 10+ billion with Helltooth set (900% bonus) and my Locus Swarm ticks alot higher with Arachyr set (1200%).

1.4 million sheet dps, 46% crit chance, 366% crit damage, 15% locust swarm damage, searing locusts rune. Do the numbers seem normal? Because I had much higher expectations when completing this set.

Yeah sorry I was unclear, I use wrathful protector ofc. I use short mans in cube and focus + restraint as equipped rings and I use midnight feast. I dont have any +garg damage though as it was just an experimental build, I didnt reroll the wall of death damage. But still, from those number I see to 5 billion doesnt sound like +garg damage would be the difference. It sounds more like my gargs dont get boosted by the Helltooth 6 piece.

Been playing around a little with a pet build and when I run F+R, cubing short mans and 6p Helltooth, my gargs hit for 500 million each, with a sheet damage of 1.4 million. That seems ridicilously low imo. When I cube tall mans instead and run burning dogs, it hits for around the same, with the fire doing maybe 20-30 million. Others seeing those numbers too? I just feel its so weak compared to when I ran garg/dogs long ago, considering I now have 125% more damage from rings and 900% from 6-set.

I never said it sucked, I said it seemed lacklustre, there's a difference. If someone wants to provide a video / evidence..ANYTHING to show how "lol op" or "awesome" this is, I'll eat my MoJ and Quet.

From video shown, yes, showing proc rates and what spells they cast..I can't see how this can clear as efficiently as Jade Harvester or SMK Phys Doc but then again, I could be wrong.
Well you said you can clear it 4 times as fast, and killing stuff on t4 takes forever. I'd say that means it sucks, because anything that needs "forever" to kill stuff on t4 sucks.

As I said in previous post, you can keep up a ton of CC with this mask if you use addling toads with flayer and piranhado, which makes it very safe. Personally I dont really notice any difference in damage etc between using this and my MoJ with 100% pet damage, but I take a lot less damage and I have to move a lot less with Grin Reaper, so I swapped to it.

Still seems a bit lackluster compared to Quet or Jeram.
You have no idea what you are talking about ;)
A video showing someone taking forever to kill anything on T4. Clearly. I'll stick to Jeram/Quet and clearing T6 3-4 times that speed.
You mean the video where I had only single spells equipped to show you how they worked?
I understand how they work. I wasn't saying your video was shit or anything. I simply stated that for a accurate overview of the spec / gear choice, we need more data. By all means, show us you clearing a T5/6 Rifts with the gear and spec.

So many people with sticks up their arse these days.

@zaktak - Contribute something to the discussion instead of insults and childish remarks? Show us why this build is "lol op".
But so far everyone (?) that tried it says it is awesome, and you who didnt try it say it isnt. So who is it that isnt contributing? "I tried it and it works well" seems far more like a contribution than "I didnt try it but I am sure it sucks based on a video that shows how often the mimics procs and which spells they cast and how they cast them".

Tried this a bit. It is really amazing with addling toads and rhen'ho flayer. Stuff is just perma confused more or less and the damage is pretty damn good too. Currently running a poison build and its just so easy to clear t5 and t6 with all the CC you get from the mimics spamming toads and piranhado.
