i guess i dont really understand the quandry with people, the kid whose buying 3 extras or whatever... thats what you call an investment, you put money into it in the hopes that it will make you more money down the road, its like stocks, its not guaranteed but if he can capitalize, then it was a sound investment... if not, then he just wasted his time.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

i think the biggest reason for no runewords is the fact that in diablo 2 runewords really devalued alot of skills... take enigma for example, giving the ability to teleport to any char greatly devalued the farming nitche of sorcs while at the same time gave ludicrous advantages to characters like hammerdins (13-17k hammers, 5k life, maxblock AND teleport??) wind druids (7knado 3khurricane, 7k life mb AND teleport...) as you can see.... the characters with mass life/damage completely took over battle.net for a long time (now we sort of see resurgance of sorc with es builds).... not to mention what they did to skillbuilds such as zealers who were at a tactical disadvantage after teleport became available to every char...Posted in: Theorycrafting and Analysis

of course ill play.... i played diablo 1 which is nothing remotely special.... and i still play diablo 2 which is > 10 years old. graphics arent the basis of a good game, good gameplay along with good community and items make games greatPosted in: Diablo III General Discussion

love d1 but the only problem is the companies need to adapt to changing tastes in gamers... back in the 90s that game was fine, not exactly fast paced with your walking character and npc's that told stories... people are much more instant gratification now, so you need that faster paced game.... a game that applies to more people because people move on so fast now... a new call of duty (at least) every year? i think diablo 3 will be that just because there is story like d1( but you dont ahve to stand around and listen) and you still have town and all that stuff but there is also that rush of blood and gore that you can jump into while the lore/npcs stories playPosted in: Diablo III General Discussion

idk guys have you watched the demon hunter?? i think with some of the skills, it could be really useful in farming items... you have moves like greandes, spike trap that have large radius... not to mention fan of knives, strafe, multishot... oh yea rain of vengeance.... i think that these wide range attacks wil make for quicker wide spread killing....Posted in: Theorycrafting and Analysis

lol @ customers are the boss... you are waiting on them, you are dying for their game, you will make it sell mil plus in first week (as will i) so who is really the boss here? if we didnt buy the product blizzard wouldnt exist?? it came into existence without our help, it went from creating game ports and morphed into what it is today... we had nothing to do with birthing it, we just help support our adopted child... and dont lie, you will buy it and play it just like everyone else... it may b with reluctance but you know that there is crack in that little box, crack to be smoked for months on end that will keep you up until 3 am, make you lose sleep, controlling you...and whose the boss?
oh yea, and its actually "patience" not patients.
I won't buy Diablo if the game is delayed Q4+. It's not a lie and claiming so is ignorant. I have a line, as does everyone. I don't play Diablo like a crack addict, I'm sorry your projections of self have to reflect on others, but I am not you.
We are the boss, end of story. Without the masses to buy the product, then they COULDN'T stay in business. The birthing of the Blizzard has NOTHING to do with the maintenance of Blizzard. There is no correlation. We are the boss.
if you think im projecting my life upon this, which obv im not between work, family, kids, etc, look what you just did? you think since you wont buy it if it comes out q4 that nobody will, you consider yourself the masses, the unpaid boss of a company. kind of hypocritical. maintenance has everything to do with birthing, you have to take care of it, nurture it as it grows, take your lumps because life isnt always smooth sailing. not that i would expect such reflection from a irate fanboy such as yourself
