Quote fromfrom what I remember, Diablo was more human like in the first one (Bipedal only) but in the second one he runs around more like an animal (Quadpedal?).
The animator for the original Diablo was Ben Haas, who also created the 'hidden' movies, though he didn't work on Diablo II, which explains some of the difference.

Michio Okamura was the modeller of Diablo for both games.

Didn't they purchase an entire studio with dozens of developers (Swingin' Ape)? What happened to that team?

And in terms of something "making much sense"... didn't you just post in another thread that it wouldn't matter if an entire team was fired? Has something changed in the past few days which makes that suddenly make more or less sense to you, Shere?

Good work, Sherlock, but it looks like we're still at 0 on that one... Also, the two RAD guys were Irvine based.

Not to mention that the purported "2 games" reference is probably based on nothing more than unsourced original research from a wikipedia page.

Perhaps, Shere. But then in what way would it be a sequel, why would this page exist, and why would you, for one, care about the game in the first place?

Shere, nice to hear your acknowledgement of the "lack of...". All I've been doing here is trying to engage in the charitable endeavor of relieving folks of the delusion that such a thing is otherwise. Now that even the densest here (like the type that would attribute character design to a programmer) are coming around to the self-evident truth, there obviously is no "proof" necessary. Congratulations on your progress.

That's what I've been trying to tell you, Shere - if someone has questions for people who actually made the game, current Blizzard employees are the last people to ask. Funny that you had to stumble upon an interview to find that out.

Actually, it is 2451 days since the expansion shipped.

Really? Name one person from Blizzard North (not Irvine) with a credit on the original Diablo currently working in Irvine. Just one.

Am I being a bit too subtle again, Shere? They're all about as alive and intact as Blizzard North, and collectively had about as much to do with making Diablo as the people working there now.

Why not request an interview with Abraham Lincoln, Julius Caesar and the Red Baron while you're at it?

Don't stop believin', Shere! Your faith is touching.
"...in which I hope to steal some time from our Blizzard lore guy, Chris Metzen, and perhaps some of the original Diablo II devs..."
Some day your prince will come, Shere.
