I think Blizz could just add some nice transmogs to the achievement system. They're still optional but give more appeal to them.

IMO it is really hard to tell, if this would really affect the server load in a recognizable way, but you might have a point here ;)

I get that people are against micro transactions, but if those have no impact on game play, what's the deal?

If there's a special dye you can buy for a few bucks, how does this affect you at all in a negative way? Quite the contrary. Micro transactions are a great source of income. If D3 had micro transactions, Blizzard could spend a bit more money on the server infrastructure (which seems to be not as good as it could be) or hire a couple more people to have more frequent content patches. Those who are willing to pay a few extra bucks for an extra dye can get it, and your character will not perform worse just because your boots are not glowing in a bright yellow color. So what? In the end both sides benefit: those who want cosmetics can get it, and those who don't will have a better game experience because Blizzard has a constant income source.

I would never pay for any cosmetics - don't really care about that. But I would instantly buy stash space. I know, however, that many many many people are fine with the stash space as it is now and Blizzard has no plans to extend it in general, so micro transactions are my only hope. In fact, the one and only reason why I bought the Collector's Edition was because of three additional twinks for character slots.

TL;DR: Introduce all sorts of micro transactions but make sure they have zero effect on game play and are completely 100% optional.
In my opinion micro transactions are a nice way to support additional developing effort. This would be the case for voice packs and other cosmetics (I don't want any game changing items to be buyable, too.)

But i have to disagree to introduce all sorts of micro transactions! Because I think additional stash space for example is not a big deal in terms of developing effort and therefore should be implemented for free (*D3 is a full price game... we payed for D3 and for RoS). These kind of buyable improvements are perfectly ok for f2p games, but definetly not for a full-price game like D3.

Keep in mind, that I have a TF to proc the lightning meteors.

Edit: Magic Weapon works, so you could use Electrify to proc the lightning meteors.

I just went through all the skills and I think the only other skill that might take advantage is Hydra.

But I didn't test it for myself.

I really like your idea. Most of the time I play with my friends, but for a quick public rift, this would be an improvement.

In my opinion you should push this idead into the official forums, if you haven't done that yet!

This is a question for the official forums ;)

    Quote fromStrandmuluku Hi,

elemental dmg only increases the overall weapon dmg, not element specific skills.

And yes, in rifts your leg droprate is increased by 100% (than outside rifts). So you'll find more legendaries while rifting, than doing bounties.
in rifts you get 300% increased legendary drop chance, not 100%?

No, it was first 25% and then they increased it to 100%. But maybe you mixed it up with this.

Okay, so +% fire adds to skills, or is affected by, but +950-1138 fire damage on a weapon doesn't stay fire if it isn't a fire skill?

Confusing, have to be a accountant/lawyer to figure it all out.
Still, why add 950-1138 fire damage on a weapon if your going to use cold skills. Why don't they just add 950-1138 damage straight, for get the elemental that will end up morphed anyway?
And better yet, there IS no point to change this on an enchant roll right? As in, change fore damage on a sword to cold damage, it's irrelevent other than the numbers?
If you have+950-1138 fire damage on a weapon and use a

    • cold skill, the skill deals cold damage
    • fire skill, the skill deals fire damage
    • lightning skill, the skill deals lightning damage... etc

If this is true, why isn't it JUST +% damage? I thought the last patch or so was going to address this?
I think you think of the wrong affix, the OP didn't ask about +%dmg to xy skills (which you can get on some legs only) but about "adds 1199-1490" elemental dmg.
