posted a message on Stash tab for non-seasonal players

Ran DH last season, Sader season before that, WD season before that.

Heard about the nerf on the WD so I went Monk as I never play it, and I'm almost at my stash tab, probably quicker than last season to be sure, but I swear I've hit a wall much harder than I ever remember with the last three seasons.

Guess I need to calm down and pursue better gear.

Need to do a Conquest to advance and I'm struggling at the moment.

Here is what I ran last season.

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/finiar-1655/hero/75655606

Not running a DH this season, so I don't know what has changed.

Keep in mind I wasn't pushing anything, just ran for stash tab, and completed Journey. Very casual.

Many are using the endless walk pair, so if it were used in a build, most likely it would have to be cubed, which if I recall, it cannot.

Maybe in a LoN build or for the lvl45 GRift no set builds... I used it until I got my Traveler's Pledge to drop. It's a great defensive ammy.

If you see that Blizzard doesn't care about NS, then why play it?

Also, can we stop the complains that Seasonal players will bring their brand new gear and paragon levels and crush non-seasonal players. Non-seasonal players have the advantage here. When seasonal players are starting from scratch and leveling up, non-seasonals are farming those GR 90's. So you are getting a lot more experience, and with it, gear as well.

Only complaint I can accept is that when Blizz buffs an item, Ring of Emptiness for example, that kind of resets that era's previous ranks.

And when that happens, EVERYONE has access to the same buffs. So, at worst, you have a couple days window to try and exceed what has been done previously. Everyone got the patch, everyone has the same time table. You still have all your previous gear/exp/Leg Gems/etc etc etc.
it's the very nature of gaming that newer/bigger/better will always be the next big thing...it's a very temporary existence as it were. You don't get to do your leaderboard thing and just sit back.

posted a message on Extreme casual, first impression after patch...

Already had the RoE, but it was Cubed, so it did upgrade. Only difference I'm aware of, and it was indeed noticeable. This is a sizable bump to the build.

I just ran a basic dogs/gargs/Helltooth build that was already put together weeks before the patch. Low level gear, not very impressive, but I had read the ring was getting a bump so I left it alone for later.

Of the three WD's I have, this is the weakest paper damage according to Diablo Progress.

It will be a decent build to run solo.

posted a message on Extreme casual, first impression after patch...

Hopped in on one of my WD's, a weaker one with only maybe two Ancients and LegGems at roughly 25 to 30, no Despair upgrades, so no powerhouse by any means. Previous best with WD was a 66 (casual remember) on a way stronger character, and I promptly ran a 68, died once, had over 5 minutes left.

Completely anecdotal, no statistical anything to derive from this but you know what, I had fun! This will be my target build upcoming season.

There is no reason for an era to end right now.

It's totally fine for an era to be two or three seasons long.

No it's not. For example i play monk. In 3 seasons we will have 3 builds with the 3rd one being the strongest. So, why compete with first 2, since the 3rd will place me in the leaderboards after all?

    Quote from cying»

No one cares about nonseasonal players. Your completely empty leader boards are indicative of that. Blizzard sure as hell doesn't care. Why should they? There's no demand. If you're not going to sack up and go seasonal like the rest of the player base, at least don't whine about not getting what you want for a dead mode!

No one cares about haters like you. Our "completely empty" leaderboards are from people with jobs, lives and other interests, who don't have the time to farm everything from the begining. You can't force seasons on everyone.

To play the damn game. It's supposed to be fun. If it isn't go find something that is. What in the world is the point to placing on a leaderboard where you get NOTHING if you don't wanna play the game?
It's not an eBay auction where you slip in at the last second and win, at least there you actually get something. I'm absolutely baffled at this hand wringing non-issue.
EVERYONE can play with anything at their disposal until it ends. EVERYONE. And non-seasonal player SHOULD have better set ups and gear than a seasonal, certainly had more time to gather it up. SMH...

Imo, they should have just made no eras for NS and one endless leaderboard. The limited timeframe is a seasonal thing. There is no reason at all to make Nonseason into a "kinda like season but not really" mode

The major problem with this would be unattainable positions due to major game changes. The perfect example is the latest patch which nerfs group buffs. If #1 was 20+ GR levels above what any player or group could achieve without insanely high paragon levels it would be rather problematic.
This is why the non-season leaderboards are being wiped, because the conventional thought is no one will be able to push them higher than they are now. So, fresh start with a lower #1 slot is being assumed. Will see how the U n Me thing actually plays out. Maybe someone will break it anyway?
Solo's probably will as the group meta is what's taking the hit?

posted a message on How many stash tabs do you need to be "satisfied"

    One tab per class/sets (6),

    one for materials/gems/hellfire machines(organs)(1),

and three for orange legendaries, organiized by slot location.(hands/helm etc.)

Although I currently have a tab filled with nothing but jewelry...

At least that's what I'm aiming for...at one tab per class and two characters per class, that should be adequate.

Split run bounties with a known group, and a call out if one is spotted BEFORE engagement.

Not really an issue though as they can be passed around in camp for the transmogs.

posted a message on Leoric's Passage goblin spawn rate nerfed?

Check youtube for "2.4.1 goblin farming diablo 3" or something similar and you will find lots of gob routes. Whatever routes you go with try to change it up often or you might find that the gobs dry up really quickly. It might help your mental state if you have some other goal (e.g. getting 100% of the achievements, farming the unique blue items, getting the pages to solve the book, etc.) instead of just farming cosmetics. Good hunting.

Goals like running bounties? Just run your bounties as needed and you'll bump into these goblins all the time.
