I know this has probably been a question as countless times and answered countless times as well but I'm really having a hard time deciding which combination of weapons to use between TF/OS/Fulminator.
And also, which should I MH and OH. I'm using the Weapon Master passive and currently have 43% crit chance before Battle Rage. I'm running a lightning WW/HOTA barb right now. From numbers I see while playing, Thunderfury(MH)/Odyn Son(OH) seem to be the one doing more damage HOTA wise. I cant really keep up with the WW numbers though

Thanks for your swift reply. Atleast now I'm certain I'm not playing it wrongly.Quote from Cularic
It stacks, and so do earthquakes, as far as I know. That's why Lut Socks + the Earth set are so good together.
I haven't tried the Earth set, but I know for a fact that Tectonic Rift Avalanches stack.
Lahar is more sustained damage than Tectonic Rift, because it makes the skill recharge faster. Tectonic Rift is the same damage as basic, un-runed Avalanche. It just gives you the option to drop 3 Avalanches at one time for much higher burst damage. It still takes 30 seconds (minus fury spent) to get an Avalanche back, just like normal, though.
Edit: of course, you can time Tectonic Rift with Wrath of the Berserker or other buffs (Slam Dance, Wolf Companion, etc.) to really get a lot of damage out of that rune.
Apr 21, 2014Hi there, I have been wondering about the Avalanche skill with Tectonic Rift rune. Does the damage stack if I use all 3 charges on the same area or does it not stack like Earthquake?? If it doesn't stack, is that the reason why the Lahar rune is preferable for Avalanche.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm not having any fury problems. I'm just undecided which one to use in which hand. I've tried both of them and looking at the numbers popping up when I'm hitting mobs but I just cant decide which has a higher average damage. Therefore I wanted opinions from the better players out thereQuote from Cularic
Are you having fury problems? If not, take the 8% bonus damage by putting Thunderfury in your main hand.
Do you run out of fury, not have a lot of other ways to build fury (like Unforgiving, War Cry, etc.)? Then you may want to use Ambo's in your main hand to get extra fury (roughly .4 fury per target times your attack speed per second with WW, or about .7 or .8 fury per target per HotA).
In general, I think mighty weapon mastery is kind of weak right now, but it can prop up a build that has fury problems a little bit. (As far as fury generating passives go, Unforgiving is usually the best for Whirlwind, Weapon Master - Mighty Weapon comes in behind it, and Animosity is slightly worse than Weapon Master in many situations).

I'm sorry if this seems like a noobish question but i would really like to get some opinions/advice about my weapons. Currently, i'm using the two weapons shown below (don't mind the Vit on the Thunderfury...I've since rerolled that after the screenshot). I know they aren't that good but I'm working with what I can get >.<
My question is if I am using the Weapons Master skill, which weapon should I put in my MH and which in my OH. I'm using kind of a WW/HotA build right now almost like the one in this guide.
