    link your profile.

There's no need to force hydra if you don't have the pieces.

I did see you have an ancient Sunkeeper in another thread but I need a clearer picture with your gear.

So I recently decided I was going to play monk for my season 2 character.

Been having fun with the sunwuko build, spamming mantras and such but now that the patch is coming it's no longer viable.

I noticed gundo gear is necessary/optimal for the new ep+ wol build, but since that isn't available till season 2........

what are you monks doing between the downtime with the patch and the new season?

    Quote from JKlimek»
I can't find the quote from Bliz right now, but I was under the impression that these retooled existing legendaries would be seasonal only for s2. If you look at the season preview, the Gungdo Gear is in the picture for the season only preview, so I'd be really surprised if they were patch upgrades and not season upgrades.

To be honest, they are new items where it counts. They could have just renamed Gungdo Gear to something else and you wouldn't be complaining that it wasn't a new item, so does the name really matter?
Nope not really complaining. Just eager to test out a viable monk build, was hoping I'd be able to get to try it tomorrow after the patch...like get a gundo gear post patch but pre season 2. Oh well.

posted a message on Old Retooled Legs Like Gungdo Gear Patch 2.1.2- Season only?
So my question is for items that already exist in game in the nonseason loot pool that are getting edits, are they being moved to the Season 2 only loot table?

    • Several existing class-specific Legendary items have been updated to include a unique Legendary power
      • Note: Existing items will not be affected by the following changes. Only new versions of the items will roll with the added Legendary power.
      • Barbarian

      • Monk
        • Gungdo Gear
            Legendary power added
Exploding Palm's on-death explosion applies Exploding Palm

      • Witch Doctor
        • Wormwood
            Legendary power added
Locust Swarm is cast on a nearby enemy every second
            • Now rolls with +20-25% Poison skill damage as one of its four primary affixe

I was wondering specifically for these three items. Since they exist in the game already, would blizzard move them into Season 2 only? It's listed under New Seasonal Items....but they aren't new.

Also is that list the complete list of new legendaries for season 2? seems like only crusader dh wiz get new legendaries and the other classes get "new" retooled legendaries.

posted a message on Jade Doctor help - bad toughness, I need to liiiivvveeeeee
yeah i switched to a pet build for now instead of jade. I see toughness numbers on some jade docs up to 8 mil. I don't exactly get how they do that though. I had % life on shoulders and helm instead of vit but i dont see how that makes a diff of 4mil toughness. Is jade doc just a glass cannon without unity? I remember i was doing fine before...byt that was pre 2.1

Gear is usually the same but with a furnace if it isn't.

I'm at 4.5mil toughness which I definitely know it isn't enough. I'm getting my butt whupped. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Probably worth mentioning I'm even having issues soloing t6 rifts. I don't have unity on this toon. Put paragon all res -> armor

IK set feels out of place for EQ atm. To get the benefits of either set, u need to stress different stats
Don't exactly know your playstyle but you could try going no generator and just using Hota Smash.

    WotB: Insanity
    Ignore Pain
    Passive: Tough as Nails

Pride of Cassius is a good belt like it was mentioned if you use ignore pain. Harrington's is also a great belt to have.....I've been using a no spender build that tries to go CDR heavy and it's worked pretty well. Chilanik's Chain is great too for mvmnt speed bonus for your team.

Haunt of Vaxxo is a great amulet to have if ur going a stun build with death from above on your leap. Couple that with a nice pair of Fire Ancient Parthan Defenders and you have a nice combo going there. Still looking for my ancient parthan defenders though.

My 2 barbs: (still looking for that fire soj)

Well I was wondering........if the damage bonus drops when you're in the action of jumping 3 times..........or if u have to jump stutter step jump etc to keep the bonus up.

So I was under the impression that you have to kinda leap walk leap walk leap for hexing pants when using leapquake.

I coulda swore I heard alkaizer say so watching his twitch like 3 months back or something.

Apparently this is incorrect? Anyone with a sure fire answer?

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/pandashogun-1427/hero/38440994

I believe my setup is pretty prototypical. Could use a fire soj......been farming on other toons so yeah haven't gotten around to it yet.

There are usually 2 routes to doing leapquake....
    1. Strongarms + call of arreat (what you do)
    2. Reapers + death from above + haunt of vaxxo (what I do)

However I do notice u don't have wrath of the beserker which I believe is imperative for that nice burst.
maybe more defensive passives such as tough as nails would be nice for high torments if u find survivability an issue
warcry impunity also provides a nice fury generator and resistance for survivability.

couple this with enough CDR and u have a well oiled machine.

Sankis looks fine as is.....with the rerolled dmg.

The only issue I have with IK and Eq set is I feel liek they don't mesh well. There's other decent belts you can go for atm with chilaniks, harringtons, etc
chestpiece is of course cindercoat, bonus fire + resource cost reduction for taht hota spam. Magefist for bonus fire again. That's about +40% fire ur missing, which is significant.

also a sunkeeper mh could be a possible upgrade if u get elite dmg above 30%

However, if ur doing t6 fine then more power to you.
