I guess Blizz just can't please everyone, but I sure love the style of the female Monk. The hair is exactly what I imagined, color and all. And the armor looks very fitting. Even the shoulder armor fits her. You all have to remember that the Monks use their arms primarily for quick hit and run combat, they don't use weapons as exclusively as the other classes do. Also, the Monks don't want to get hit, so the body armor is toned down more. Blizz made that a perfect balance IMO. Well done.
Good post too Zhar!

This inspired me to do an original sig with PS. -

Sure. Where should I send em?
I'll have to send em later tonight. I need to be at work in 20 minutes. -

Give the guy some credit.
I'm not saying he's making a forum game as we speak, but implementing some new XP bars shouldn't be all that hard to do. -
Jan 18, 2010Archie posted a message on New Forum Feature: Experience the ExperienceWe've sure got some good ideas flowing. Its making this forum more and more unique. I LOVE IT!!Posted in: News
Sixen hasn't posted in a bit... I think he's up to something. -

(sorry I stole those archie :P)
I like your colors more, but the background bar should be a tad lighter, so it is a bit more visible. -
Jan 18, 2010Archie posted a message on New Forum Feature: Experience the ExperiencePosted in: NewsQuote from "Sixen" »Actually Archie, those are pretty damn good...
Thank you much. I just got photoshop this week, so I've been having a bit of fun with it. Oh, and if you do use a design like that, you'd just need to chop them off at the 4th bar, and I think it would fit perfectly.
The browser game idea sounds awesome too! I'd love to see something like that implemented.
I like the health globe idea, but it would most likely be just far too space consuming. And if it was animated for every single person's profile, that would kill everyone with dial up.
And props for making rep worth something. -

Jan 18, 2010Archie posted a message on New Forum Feature: Experience the ExperienceHow about DIII experience bar style?Posted in: News
Hell, we should take the DIII UI and add parts of it into everyone's profile. -

Yeah, I saw that just seconds after I posted. lol. I think the blue bar could stay, I just think they need a darker more demonic color scheme.
Edit: And now they are at the bottom of the profile. lol Actually I think it looks good down there. But up top underneath the person's title works just as well. -
Jan 18, 2010Archie posted a message on New Forum Feature: Experience the ExperienceThis sure is an awesome idea!Posted in: News
Definitely going to keep me more active now, because, well, I'm a really competitive person.
I do have a suggestion. The colors of the bars don't exactly scream DIABLO! My suggestion is to turn the top one to a blood red, and the bottom to a forest green. The middle one could stay lighter if the color was maybe just tweaked to the Blizzard Blue. But I'm not sure how that would look, so a navy blue might be necessary. -

Dec 18, 2009Archie posted a message on Day, night, and variation!I'm kind of torn on this issue. I remember the night time rain vividly. I always prayed it would start raining in my games, just because it seemed to immerse me more with the looks and the sounds.Posted in: News
As for DIII, I could accept the game either way. If they choose to have a day/night cycle, and have specific events/enemies spawn under night or day specifically, then you might have people avoiding certain times in the game.
If they do implement a static day or night situation, it would only be acceptable if there was a significant amount of time of day specific events. I wouldn't accept or expect anything less than that from Blizzard. -
Dec 16, 2009Archie posted a message on Speculation: Will We Fight Angels in Diablo III?Posted in: NewsQuote from "dunhac82" »Well, the Sin War books really go into how two-faced the factions of heaven are. So, since that is official lore I say, why not? It would be interesting to see how they pull it off though if we do. I bet they will drop a bombshell on us at the end of D3 to leave heaven for the expansion.
Exactly. I think there are just far too many people new to the Diablo world that don't understand what Angels actually are in that world. It seems like it should almost be a requirement to read the Sin War books before being allowed to play DIII. Or perhaps they will just have a summation of the Sin War during the cinematic that will play when you first open the game, and you can't skip it the first time you play either.
Quote from "PhrozenDragon" »I'm dead certain we'll be fighting at least one angel in this game. Whether that be a pissed Imperius or a host of angels I don't know though.
I completely agree. I assume that we'll fight a few angels throughout the game, and most likely only 1 or 2 Archangels. It sure would be an ingenious plot of Heaven, to have had Tyrael destroy the Worldstone so that Heaven can destroy Sanctuary. But that brings up the same question asked about the forces of Hell. Why haven't the forces of Heaven invaded yet?
Sure makes the mind wonder what Blizzard is going to pull out of their hat.
Man, what if DIII is about defeating Heaven with the aid of Hell, and the expansion is about defeating Diablo and his brothers. Or better yet, one expansion per brother!! It would sure put a twist on how we have all been thinking about the storyline. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

I'm truly happy that there aren't guns in DIII. I mean what good is armor if you're going against something that punctures right through it? I come at you with an axe, and you shoot a pistol at 15ft. At least a crossbow can't get through a shield...well...unless it is imbued with magic.
Its funny how everyone saying that they're okay with guns in DIII are the newer members. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

@Siay - I understand why you'd expect that, but I'm here to stay. Well, mostly. I can't guarantee I'll be on here much once D3 is released.
Edit: Woah. New smilies.

Its good to be back here. But I sure do have a lot of catching up to do. Those monthly "What's going on" news reports look like they aren't happening anymore. Are our updates given only through the Diablocast now?

My system specs are:
Nvidia 9600GSO 512MB
4GB Corsair RAM 1333
Rosewill 550w PSU
MSI 770-G45 motherboard
CPU Type: AMD Phenom(tm) II X2 550 Processor
CPU Speed: 3.12 GHz (I crank it up to 3.6 in the winter)
System Memory: 3.25 GB
Video Card Model: NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GSO
Video Card Memory: 1.86 GB (fairly certain this is reading wrong for a card that came with only 512mb)
Desktop Resolution: 1440x900
Hard Disk Size: 931.41 GB
Hard Disk Free Space: 327.94 GB (35%)
Download Speed: 825.47 kB/s (6.8 mbps)
Parts I'm upgrading before December:
Corsair TX750w PSU
MSI Radeon 6850 1GB 256bit DDR5 (I like how cheap the video cards have become)
Mushkin Silverline 4GBx2 (RAM is SUPER cheap now!!)
And with a little luck and hard work, a new monitor in the 23-25" range.
Should be running with flying colors by then.
@Zimeroski - Average Joe's can't play yet, its only friends and family of Blizzard in the Beta right now. Your specs are currently above the min specs and below the recommended specs for the Beta. You should be fine as long as Blizz supports the drivers you are using.

Its been a while since I've been posting regularly on here, and I figured I'd go ahead and do another intro. Seeing Naj's reintroduction kind of inspired me to do the same.
My busy schedule in RL has eased off a bit now, and I figured, that since FnF Beta started and the open Beta will be starting in a week or 2 (and Release soon after), I should get active again.
I'm super excited for the release, and really looking forward to seeing everyone on the forums again!

Don't forget, that it is now confirmed that Adria the Witch is coming back in DIII. So not everyone in Tristram died.
As to why he wasn't killed; Maybe Cain was too strong to be killed by a bunch of pathetically weak Fallen and Goatmen. So instead, they just threw him in a cage. Maybe they were holding him there for a more powerful demon to take care of. But yeah, there are a lot of holes in the story that need to be explained. I sure hope Blizz doesn't just cop out and say, "Ignore the first 2 games, this is what actually happened".
