The problem I have is they are making gear so rare to stop bots and hacks but in the end its just going to make it near impossible for me to find something I need and I will be forced to buy it on the auction house or spend 100+ hours farming 1 item.

When people that bot will just spawn 1000 players and find 1 an hour.

The thing is they are making the -BEST- items incredibly rare, and 9/10 people are only going to want to dish out hard earned cash for the best items only. What will happen is the game will be people mostly running around in decent : good gear, and then a few of the best items. Then occasionally there will be people with all of the best, and I feel that's how RPG's should be, not just everyone running around in the most high end gear just to put a smile on everyone's face.

And with the bots, give Blizzard some credit, if any individual is running an astronomical number of bots they will be detected and banned from the game. No single person will be able to find BiS gear every day, it simply won't happen.

Here is my problem with that. The people with all the great gear will be people that paid for it or when the game is 5 years old and you finally get that last peace.

Yeah there is going to be some people that pay big big big money for everything, but it's not like they are going to have it all from the start. There isn't going to be a stock of the legendary items automatically in the auction house the players will have to over time accumulate the entire set for their one character. It won't just happen all of a sudden because of the sheer fact that they have cash to throw around.

maybe groups requiring to complete different parts of a world quest to unlock end game questions.

if not world quests maybe guild quests. Groups of 4 x 5. group 1 needs to recover sword of holy. group 2 needs to defeat boss xyz. group 3 and 4 need to pull leavers to open the castle door and group 5 defeat the guards of the castle. Then it opens up to a guild event where the hole guild gets to pve raid this castle. Just my idea

dont think they are going the mmo route.
