Tbh any build with Inna's 4 set, Unity Passive & cyclone strike. There are a number of builds that use it.

Inna's + Unity has the benefit of giving your allies 3 mantras which is good in itself but additionally gives your allies + 15% damage as Unity grants +5% damage per mantra to your allies. Cyclone strike is great for controlling mobs and dpsing em down.

If you want a build that fits this I can suggest http://www.diablofans.com/builds/852-flying-dragon-mk2 (my own build that I use) just swap any of the passives (whichever is least useful to your gear set) for Unity.
This build also uses Time of Need on Mantra of Healing which is great for keeping your allies alive and also grants a 60K+ absorb shield when you activate it (which you should be spamming mostly)

amazing well done now just hope you gonna find this gear again XD
yeah I think i'll be too depressed grinding all the gear again- i think i've played more PTR than live at this point lol :p

My game plan is to just play seasons and get the gear like that without feeling like I wasted a bunch of time on the PTR ^^

    nicely done!

@Siar89 do you think that this spec could work with 2piece monkey+lightning damage since lightning damage is a lot more available? having said that with the FD proc we could spawn lots of cyclones! i had tried that in PTR with mediocre gear and it worked pretty well @T6! Let me hear your thoughts.
I havn't tested it but in theory it should work. I did try a fire build using cindercoat and Gayna-na-kashu (sp?) which seemed effective due to the fire rune of WotHF providing 15% additional attack speed. It worked nicely but seemed like a little less damage than the holy variation.

That being said, a lightning build with 2 pc sunwukos could be really effective, since you wouldn't need the RoRG to get the 4 pc set bonus. Leaving a ring slot open for having both SoJ and Unity (the two rings usually being mutually exclusive since you needed the RoRG otherwise) for a whopping 45% elite damage. In fact if you got the alabaster gloves that increase SW stack count i'm convinced it could prove to be very deadly indeed! You've sold me on it, will try it out on live once I get the gear :)

Edit: Upvote the build if you like it :)

So blizz has very silently undone the 'fix' to flying dragon. I think they realized their mistake and returned it to how it should be, doubling attack speed as it says on the label. This makes spirit generators with depth diggers very powerful, particularly WotHF: FoF. the 60% weapon damage portion of the attack has yielded up to 14 million damage ticks just from having 4+APS. Not to mention the spirit generator in question has a fantastic proc coefficient, making things like the smite gem particularly deadly.

Using sunwukos 4 pc is also valuable due to the amount of spirit you are generating at high attack speed. But i go over this and more in a build video.

As my last video of the PTR patch I wanted to show you the build I had come up with before the 'fix' and now that flying dragon is un-fixed I can! Video includes Greater Rift 30 demonstration

posted a message on CDR does NOT suffer from Diminishing Returns!! Using Serenity CD to illustrate.
    this isnt news.

When people talk about diminshing returns regarding CDR they mean that each additional affix/skill 'slot' of CDR less effective. I.e. 20+20 CDR =/= 40%CDR

    Here's a CDR calc

Been wanting to test out shenlong since the bufff but dont have both pieces.

The way I see it is that you don't really need to focus on +emental damage, freeing you up to use a proc heavy build. I.e. Shenlongs + Smite Gem + Gorgok of swiftness + Sunwuko 4pc (mantra spam decoys) would be really powerful without focusing on an element.
But then why not just focus on Sunwuko and Mirinae, Teardrop of the Starweaver? Sunwuko set+Flying dragon+Smite Gem+Attack Speed and use something like Crippling Wave, Rising Tide to generate as much spirit as possible, spend as much as you can, apply huge amounts of those holy beams around you and just benefitimmenselyfrom %holy dmg?

Don't know why, but I just don't like to mix elements :)
Well, I already do exactly that in one of my builds/videos :P

The issue is that as soon as you start using a daibo, you can't really stack that much +holy damage. Theoretical max are SoJ + Amulet + Bracers + Andariels for +80%- but as it stands now Monks, that aren't using perma Desert Shroud, need double unity to survive Grfit 30+ and ofc RoRG for the set bonuses. In addition - to use andariels - you need to get your sunwuko 4 set from Amulet, gloves, shoulders - and getting a trifecta amulet is hard enough never mind getting a trifecta Sunwuko's Amulet. In any case even if you did get a trifecta wukos ammy there are some very powerful monk spirit stones that would compete with andariels. So unless you are very very very lucky, a realistic max +holy damage for such a build would be 40%. Which isn't much.

And when you want to start throwing in legendary gems you usually have to sacrifice some powerful affixes to do so. (again you probably need a perfect roll on your jewelry to not be hurt too much from rolling sockets on them)

Thus why I say its not that important to stack elemental damage with WuKos.

Since Shenlongs fists can't roll elemental damage your kinda in the same boat. Sure you got cindercoat and magefists to make up for that, but if you took wukos over magefists you lose 20% fire damage potentially but gain 3500% weapon damage explosions - which i think more than makes up for it

If it helps you can think of it as a 'Righteous Fire' Build instead of a Holy/fire elemental mix :P

I've shifted my build to be more spirit focused than damage focused with the changes.

Transcendence needed a nerf tbh, its not that bad since we can still get a hefty amount of life from spirit spent from gear (up to 800 on a daibo). Anywho i changed to a Wuko Pull build, using CS and spamming mantra for decoys, sometimes both for high burst. Crunching numbers vs a Bell build, over a 10 second period, using bell gives you 2000% weapon damage more over mantra spam + generator. This gap can be breached by depth diggers though and doesnt take into account the extra absorb shield from mantra of healing (which I use) and incidently got buffed. end story, I still get a 100k healing per mantra activate from transcendence + absorb shield. Got up to grift 30 before things started getting hard, but leaderboards seem to be broken atm

Edit: Oh and I don't think that the Wukos buff is too OP. Raiment might be weaker set to set but remember that lightning builds have a vast amount fo +lightning % available to them from gear whereas there is precious little +holy % available

You can fit 2 set Blackthores into your gear setup.

    Why a physical spirit generator?

Why mantra of healing heavenly body?

In the video i explain everything, but to answer your quesiton directly. It's the fastest generator and also the higher spirit generator. 1.31 Internal APS and 20 spirit per hit. I just use the generator as well.. a generator so I can get off more decoys.
    Quote from Suriel666
when using torch i would suggest also taking the physical rune of WoL for permastun, because u only will proc very few with the massively reduced cost. also putting it on left click so that an additional skill can be used instead, when playing without generator
I was doing that but since they increased the "attack speed" of WoL by 33% I couldn't maintain the spirit cost of perma casting it. Hence the generator. I *could* use additional spirit generation via passives, but would sacrifice too much for it. Same logic applies to gear.

noooo would never use Spam wol with FD, Incense torch for that ofcourse.

I've been going with two different builds lately - FD with FoT: Quickening for mantra spam decoys and Incense Torch for no generator WoL. The first build lacks a bit of damage but is fine on sustain, while the second has neat damage but not enough sustain. So earlier tonight I started mixing the build and came up with a very similar build to yours, but i've swapped out Insight for Air Ally since i dont think I can fit much CDR (in my current gear) to make epiphany worthwhile.

Playstyle is that I use WoL mostly, using the generator when needed and when I run into elite packs I spam both WoL and Mantra since both can be cast at the same time, Air Ally to top my spirit off, then continue until I need to use my generator again. Bursting down the elites fast before they become too much trouble proves effective. On top of that I have Reaper Wraps and I keep an eye on health globes for when I need to top up my spirit again and begin the WoL +Mantra spam again.

and when I run into particulary difficult packs that I need more sustain on I can switch to just mantra spam while using the generator instead of WoL. All in all I feel like the strengths of the two builds combined complement eachother. Did some Grift testing and was about to finish a Grift 27 with ~4.5 mins remaining but I got disconnected when the rift guardian spawned. Will test more tomorrow and do a videeeoooo

I dont know what it is but wave of light just doesnt hit as hard as you would think with the 1k% weapon damage.
Compared to "standard lightning setups" you lose approx 40-60% elemental bonus, round about 1k dex and last but not least 130% CHD from your offhand.
the loss of CHD is not that hurtful after you take in the 2h weapon damage buff in to consideration. Comparing the Weapon damage of my incense torch to a good 1hander I have - the incense torch has roughly double the base weapon damage of the 1hander. Additionally, because the incense torch has such a high base weapon damage, it benefits more from damage multipliers. Ofcourse dual wielding has the advantage of having a higher AS and the luxury of mixing legendary affixes.

Again its true that we lack the elemental % of other elemental builds - sunwukos does fill that gap a little bit but not much with the +20% damage from 2handers - this is an additional multiplier as well though which is good (+%damage from skills). I've been playing around with my no generator bell build since the latest iteration of the patch and (with 57% holy damage and 27% elite damage) i've been pulling off 45-50 million crits with WoL (well 15-16 mil but Empowered WoL damage is split into 3 different hits for some reason) while my wuko decoys are doing 65-75 million. However this is without the new additional affix on the Incense torch (+30% damage to WoL) since that change hasnt been retroactive. Addditonally to the +WoL damage, if i could get a a decent sunwuko amulet and andariels head with 20% Holy damage i could probably get 60+milliion crits (Havnt considered WOL damage on head and boots as I feel the other affixes are more important for toughness)

The buff that blizz promised WoL was in its cast time though, it used to be 1.4 second cast time, now its 1 second - roughly a 33% increase in its "attack speed"

Long story short, my damage in greater rift 25-30 is fine using WoL but toughness is still an issue, I start chain dying to certain rift guardians at 27-29 :P
