    Here is my character
    http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/dragonblight/Gaidean/profession/mining#status=unknown

Why does it show I have 3 professions, that's not even possible right? In game it only shows Enchanting and Blacksmithing. But I cant start a quest from an item with skill 1 enchanting required. It doesn't show mining but I can mine ore. Seems like some weird bug

convinced my friend to tag along and farm keys for a run and do ubers so we could make an amulet each. Mine turned out extremely crappy, and he got this http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/linche-2904/hero/6167122

    always so lucky.

Might play my monk again after this, I couldn't bare the massive clicking with current Sunwuko, gave me finger cramps and carpal tunnel syndrome and whatnot

Also, imo Raiment should be based on sandstorms, causing sand damage. "Fills underwear of nearby enemies with fine sand, causing irritation and 50% slowed movement speed until they take a shower"

Happened to me several times, even 3-4 grifts in a row (around lvl 25) that I didn't get a single legendary drop.

your stats, 20% phys, 30% phalanx, 40% elite, could also be better. I am currently at 67% physical, 49% phalanx, 44% elite (elite will drop due to I would have to change to RoRG instead of Unity, but if I got a Furnace it would be around 75-80%)
You are overlooking the fact that you will lose all 44% of that elite damage from your Unity and SoJ when you switch to RoRG and Eternal Union as well as losing the 19% phys on the SoJ. Switching to a Furnace means losing the 29% phys on the Heartslaughter. You will end up with 19% phys (bracers) and whatever elite %(40-50) rolls on the Furnace. I'm guessing you got the phalanx bonus off your sheet because there are only 3 slots on gear for it and each can only roll to 15%. We both have it on helm and boots so it looks like if you get the ring and furnace you will be sitting at almost exactly the same numbers as me. Yes my gear could be a little better and yes if you put together perfect gear I think you might just exceed Tier 35 if you get awesome rift RNG and play perfectly but it will be a challenge. I'm not trying to talk you out of it, just putting it in perspective.

yeah I realised later that I would lose a lot when I have to change BOTH my rings, so you are absolutely right. Yesh Phalanx is from sheet, (Lord Commander passive included). Didn't thonk of that either when comparing stats ;)

edit: not sure why my quote isn't working

I have all the gear necessary and have tried and discussed pet build variations with KaiserQwerty extensively. The best pet build I ended up running with was a firestarter-foh hybrid pet build (full akhans, phalanx shield, eternal union, taskers, baleful remnant). You still have all the pet damage you would but you also gain a lot of damage yourself through firestarter-foh-charged up.

It works real well on T6 but yeah like everyone has said it just isnt as competiive as stampede on the higher tiers.
So with that build you ran +physical I assume? Not +fire for fire starter?

I'm pretty sure all you nay-sayers are right, that it isn't optimal or even working.... which makes me sad because I've missed the bowmen ever since I speced away from them. Shooting all those goddamn flies and ghosts, it's pretty convenient :) Also I'm not particularely fond of stampede, I just use it because I have the gear for it and it works. And I'm not that interested in playing another class

Well one can dream... they might change the hindered movement of the phalanx etc. I'm still gonna try it :P ... I did consider the roland-gear as well , got 2-3 of all those pieces, that attack speed with bowmen would have been rediculous but I don't think that will work since you will get murdered in melee range without AC.. atleast I did when i tested the set.

And yes, the Baleful build is very handy for farming T6, it is pretty relaxed, pretty much just run thtough stuff and let your minions do the dirty work. I often switch to that for farming / change of pace.

Well thanks for your input guys and thanks for testing it out since I still have no Eternal Union.. Yeah I have gotten like 3 T&T the last 2-3 weeks but not that ring :// Also glad that I got some positive feedback on the build instead of just getting flamed ;)

KaiserQwerty, based on what you wrote, I still think it seems grift 35+ is doable despite the drawbacks of the build (targeting etc). First of all, the difference T&T does to your damage output is massive and those gloves are pretty much a must-have item for the build to be able to really judge it, as are the ring and shield. And your stats, 20% phys, 30% phalanx, 40% elite, could also be better. I am currently at 67% physical, 49% phalanx, 44% elite (elite will drop due to I would have to change to RoRG instead of Unity, but if I got a Furnace it would be around 75-80%). My sheetdps is lower however, but I bet my physical sheet dps is higher. And as mentioned before, I have well rolled trifecta T&T as well as good ones with CRD, based on what is needed. Big thanks to you for taking time to test my theories :)

When, if ever, I get that ring I will give this a go, I refuse to let pet-spec go because like said before "the novelty of pet setups hasn't worn off for me just yet". I'd be happy if it made it to 36-38, where I am currently playing, that would be enough for me. Got no grfit 40+ ambitions (or patience) :)

I started playing bowman build despite the lack of an Eternal Union, but as I reached 30+ rifts I got tired of it not working without the ring so switched to stampede build.

However the bowmen still appeal to me as a skill, I think they are awesome for some reason. But I can't get that stupid ring to drop, so without 100% uptime on them it's useless.

I have descent gear and when I ran bowmen with worse gear than now, they did reasonable damage, up to 22-25m (iirc) (without Heartslaughter / Furnace) per hit at a massive attack speed. (I have pretty well rolled T&T gloves).

But has anyone actually tried this a build with them on 35+ grift? Haven't seen much mention about it.

My build would be something like: Bowmen, Akkarats Champion - Prophet, Foth - Reverberation (synergize with strongarm and bane of the trapped), Laws of Valor - Critical (most likely), Provoke - Charged up, and Steed charge - Endurance. Havent really tried it out so perhaps I would change some of those.

Gearwise ofc Unrelenting Phalanx, Eternal Union, and Strongarm for extra dmg from the knockback from reverberation. Heart Slaughter / Furnace / Baleful Remnant in worst case (I don't have a Furnace).

Enforcer, Bane of the trapped, Pain Enhancer gems. Possibly experiment with Zei's stone of vengeance

    As i see it:

    Pros:
    - Dps should be alright.
    - Able to keep dps up while moving back.
    - Constant dps on rift guardian (massive single target dps). Guardians are what take the most time for me now.
    - They can't die so you can position them as tanks and you can stay way back
    - They align better in narrow rifts than Stampede and they do better damage through doorways etc than Stampede (those maps are quite common i grifts)

    Cons:
    - lack of CC that Stampede provides
    - they can be unrealiable in what they target and it could be bad in larger clusters of mobs. However you still have Foth as a spender to complement damage.
    - T&T gloves require a RoRG, so you cant use unity and/or Soj.

Any thoughts on this? As i said, I like the skill and see potential in it. Why am I wrong?

you did'n't mention that the Haunt of Vaxo you are using on your follower doesn't work, it doesn't spawn any shadow clones.

Will change my wyrdward if it doesn't stun ... havent tested it and hard to see when using a stampede build that is stunning everythin anyway :)

The corrupted angels that made me quit a lvl 32 grift yesterday. Narrow map, molten, waller (i was stuck all the time), teleport (couldn't run away from them) and then some other affix, can't remember but doesn't matter since the 3 other affixes were making my day miserable anyway.

My stampede crusader didn't have much to put up there, I managed to kill them tho... but they were the first mobs I encountered, and it took me half the rift timer to kill them. Then I moved along and progressed about 25%, and then I got another similar pack and I just quit....
Brrr, sounds terrible. I play stampede crusader myself and i find myself hating the 'waller' affix in narrow mapst more and more anyway.
Yeah wallers are the #1 concern for me... but I wishthe Bottomless Potion of Kulle-Aid could drop... could perhaps get me out of a few death-situations... problem is, it never drops... I got like 2-3 of all th eother potions but not that one :/

Also, in my head, the phrase "diminishing return" when it comes to gaming, has always been about e.g. effeciancy for a certain skill repeated a number of times on the same enemy. Like a stun duration being shortened for each stun until it no longer works at all for a set amount of time.

But that is probably just me :)
