Dec 9, 2009DSquared82 posted a message on Location similarities in Diablo II and IIIDidn't they say we will be visiting multiple locales per act? Why are we assuming Act I forest Act II desert Act III jungle Act IV Hell?? It could be possible that they have only showed a single environment from the act as to not give too much away. Plus I could have swore they also said somewhere the we will be visiting different areas then D2 (besides Tristram of course)Posted in: News

Nov 23, 2009DSquared82 posted a message on DiabloFans Exclusive: Jay WilsonAwesome interview..Yay for DFans being mentioned on Twitter hooray! A little disappointed also that we won't see Ureh as that probably would have been totally badass; but hey maybe in an expansion no.Posted in: News
Anyways lots of good solid questions. Glad to hear items will differ greatly depending on the class of the item. Also sounds really cool that character level and difficulty will determine items that drop, really makes it even more enticing to go through all difficulties and explore everything.
Man, so psyched about all the new "customization" features that they have not shown yet; I bet they will blow our socks off. -
Nov 19, 2009DSquared82 posted a message on More Hopes Dashed, 1.13 Delay Going StrongPosted in: NewsQuote from "luc1027" »So what is "Auction House" ??
This might be a bit OT but I'll answer...basically, if you've ever used e-bay an auction house is like that. Players put items into a "market" and can set a bid price and/or an "buy it now" price. Other players then buy the items for gold. When items sell the money is sent to you and the auction house takes a cut for selling. WoW uses this system and I honestly have to say it is one of my favorite things about the game. -
Nov 18, 2009DSquared82 posted a message on More Hopes Dashed, 1.13 Delay Going StrongMy sentiment is with pretty much everyone else...what the hell is the point of even bringing out this patch. Honestly??? What are they bringing to the table?? What was the point of even asking the community what we wanted??? Isn't this supposed to be a content patch anyways??Posted in: News
I guess the whole point of the update was they were still figuring out whether or not they were going to have the larger stash in. I'm not one to get pissed easily, but this is ridiculous from Blizzard; they should have said nothing about the patch. Their first mistake was telling all of us about it and getting our hopes up. -

Nov 13, 2009DSquared82 posted a message on Where Will Tar Pits Fit In?We already know that they have to be close to done with Act II if they are working on bosses there...so my guess is some of them are also working on the next area and trying to incorporate bubbling tar into it. So, I was thinking what a better desolated place than the Dreadlands?Posted in: News

Nov 10, 2009DSquared82 posted a message on Torchlight Ups the AntePlayed the demo a bit...honestly just feels like a unashamed Diablo ripoff. Even the music in the caves might as well have come direct from D2 (I realize that Matt did the score, but something new at least). I will have to try it a bit more I guess for a verdict, honestly the content just seems kind of "kiddie" to me. Well, my 2cents anyhow...and yes D3 might take some ideas from it, but there is no way in hell they have to even remotely fear any competition from this game.Posted in: News

Nov 5, 2009DSquared82 posted a message on Torchlight Ups the AnteIt would be great if that were the case...I mean honestly we have had just about nil since Blizzcon. Maybe they are holding back so they can just blow the socks off of TL fans (which in my opinion is just a blatant cartoony rip-off of D3...I still might check it out though). Either way, we are in a dire need of some friggin news here..hell even nothing on patch 1.13 for almost a month now.Posted in: News

Nov 2, 2009DSquared82 posted a message on BlizzCast 11 -- BlizzCon roundupI'm not one to complain much when it comes to Blizz, but honestly this Blizzcast was lame...all it basically was was a recap of Blizzcon. I mean aren't most of the people who follow Blizz keeping up with things like their own gaming convention...I would have been happier if they just waited longer and brought out something with new info in it.Posted in: News

Oct 27, 2009DSquared82 posted a message on The History of DiablofansI agree Medi was an awesome news person. I remember giving him the scan of my PC gamer that was hinting at Diablo 3 in the next issue...turns out that it didn't happen, but it was around the announce from what i remember. That would be awesome if he wound up back here, still unlikely as that might be.Posted in: News

This is probably very true, was just thinking that myself. Will be really interesting to see where things will go once it finally does come out. -
Oct 23, 2009DSquared82 posted a message on The History of DiablofansDon't know if I'd be considered an "old timer" or not. I certainly don't post as much as most. I do remember a lot of that stuff and a lot of those members though. Waiting for the WWI in Korea, hoping by some thin shred of hope that D3 would be announced, the speculation behind the countdown, the final announcement of D3 (staying up till 5am to watch it). All good memories.Posted in: News
I admit too, it is sad to see a lot of those members go, even if I didn't really know them personally; I felt like I knew a lot of them through their posts. Awesome post though Phrozen, was a fun and nostalgic read. Thanks.
And a big Welcome to all the new mods and admins...I'm sure this fansite will only get better. -

Oct 11, 2009DSquared82 posted a message on Diablo III Side Quests- Will the Myriad be Worth It?I'm one of those people that every time I play a Diablo game I have to explore everything. I never rush or just go for waypoints or do the minimum. I always want to look for monsters (uniques, champions, etc). So, the fact that they are expanding those possibilities by adding random quests makes it all the more to my tastes. I'm sure this will put a smile on all the completionists faces; such as myself.Posted in: News
I wonder how random they will be though? I mean will it be possible to have a quest that only happens once in a great while; or will it be if you go through an area enough you will eventually get all the random quests? I think it would be neat to be able to say, "I completed all the random quests for this area." Another part of me thinks though, maybe that would get stale quick. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
