Since the domain name has not been purchased, but given free to Blizzard, we get that benefit to allow the community to catch up and get acquainted with Diablofans.com
I understand some people isn't comfortable with the hype. I can't satisfy everyone. That's how life is. There is a lot of people that see past that and focus more on the news itself and what it means to the franchise.
That same people that is right now pissed, will be the first coming back. Here is a rough layout of the future for this community:
1. Blizzard will be linking to Diablofans.com at some point supporting this community.
2. Diablofans will become a registered member of the Blizzard Fansites Program.
3. Diablofans.com will have a shot at interviews with developers.
4. Diablofans.com will be giving away many beta keys of upcoming Diablo games.
Those who are cussing us for some overhype, will be the first ones cheering up and participating in said beta key giveaway contests.
In the end, we are doing our best to ignite hype, enthusiasm and hope in fans who have been waiting for a new game sequel for over 7 years. And when Blizzard is ready, we will be there. And we will be rewarded by giving fans of this community a chance to play closed beta.
Back on 2006, I was given 100 Burning Crusade Beta Keys to give away. I created a Warcraft lore contest. It was a pleasure to talk to a lot of people via email and chat, process their info, and forwarding them to Blizzard. Lot of happy people, who enjoyed being among the few to play beta.
Umaro told me not long ago of a fan who was so thankful to us for allowing him the chance to participate in the BlizzCon 2007 tickets giveaway. It was touching. The guy was able to go to California where he spent most of his time with his mother. She died a few months later, but he was thankful with us because that BlizzCon ticket allowed him to spend some time with his mother her last days.
You don't know how much it means to us to be able to provide joy, information or entertainment for the community. I know some people loved the news, and others are sore. My apologies to those who feel sore. I know people will move on, and focus more on what the news means for everyone who calls himself/herself a fan. Something is looming. This is solid proof. Intangible, but certain.

This is what im hoping the new class will be. Can Blizzard make a character like this without making him too fictional or ridiculous? I don't squat about Diablo lore. I would pretty much rather dip my head in a port-o-potty than read the sin wars.

Hopefully it will be some sort of hybrid character who is capable of firing a bow, but has other elements as well. If they do make an all ranged class, he better be a lot more exciting than the previous Amazon and Rogue.

And if you are so concerned about ruining your Diablo 3 experience then why are you even here? On this site we want information. Its not going to ruin the game for me, ive been playing Diablo for the last ten years.

As for Blizzcon, I was a little disappointed about the lack of Diablo 3 information. I was hoping to get more information about the map, bosses, monsters, etc. It's nice that the Monk was introduced, but if you are going to tell us the horrifying news that Diablo 3 is not going to come out in 2010, then you better have some cool info to make me not even think about the release date.

The druid offers unlimited creativity. I'm just imagining awesome shapeshifting capabilities and crazy elemental skills.
Ranged characters are limited and their builds are usually generally boring. Unless Blizzard designs more elaborate weapons and skills (not frost arrow- boring) then I dont see a point in having an all ranged class.

This is exactly what I am saying. I was 12 when Diablo 2 first came out, and now, im going to be at least 23 when Diablo 3 is released. I guess my Diablo days are done as well. I'll be applying to Law and Graduate schools (hoping for a joint degree) next summer, and there is no way I'm going to be able to play Diablo 3.
