I'll have to try it myself on release, or download the PTR and see how it is on there, but from all the PTR videos I seen, there's a huge scarcity of monsters to fight ><. Not sure if those are the exception, or if they just had bad luck or what.
I do agree about the whole area damage thing. It's fun to fight huge amounts of monsters, in and of itself, to me. But being rewarded with splash damage being as powerful as it is is just too effective to pass up.
hm I was kinda excited about these changes because I love slaying monsters, that's why I play Diablo, but it's sounding like I interpreted it the wrong way. I was under the assumption there was going to be more overall.
I'd really fancy they cleared all of our follower's gear, mailed it to us, and made them share! So you don't have to take off your best weapons/gems for followers, or reequip them for every character. Ability choices could still be remembered per-char. basis, though.
One other idea I had would be to cause strength, dexterity, and intelligence to all equally benefit followers, by converting it at a 1:1 ratio to another stat, follower-exclusive, which behaves in the same manner.
Even at that, Furnace is a 2h mace (slowest, hardest hitting weapon type). Compared to a 1h flail, you're going to hit everything much harder with a Furnace. Including non-elites. However, you still want to get the +100% attackspeed from Johanna's some way or another.
I like it, and have been running something similar on the PTR. Been sticking to Barb since 2.3 dropped, but I'm tempted to get on my condemnsader and bring him up to speed on the live servers for variety.
The only real difference between playing the game non-season, and playing the game on-season, besides the paragon reset, is that seasons tend to have a few exclusive items. It's totally up to you if you'd like to play seasons or play normally. I've played all 3 seasons so far, and gotten to paragon 600+ in all of them, never really aiming for competitive play / leaderboards, though I did place in the top 300 in S1 for my class. But I won't be playing the next season. I'm going to just casually play my main(s). But that's because I'm burnt out and don't feel like restarting and leveling gems again. It's a personal reason -- you decide if you want to, or don't.
I made a big post about it on the Barb forums months ago, I think S1 was just about wrapped up actually. Anyways, to summarize, what I proposed was this:
2p: Increases the damage dealt by Avalanche and Seismic Slam by x% to enemies taking damage from an Earthquake.
4p: Cause an Earthquake when you land after using Leap. (Unchanged)
6p: Causing an Earthquake grants a charge of Avalanche, up to an additional 3.
Since it's 'Might of the EARTH' I figured that Seismic Slam / Earthquake / Avalanche / Ground Stomp are the main candidates for attention in this set. Ground Stomp support could be added via additional legendaries (like Blessed Hammer shield/bracer/flail for the new Crusader set), while the actual set focuses on the damage dealers.

Is that armor rack thingy that lets us swap builds on the fly coming in the patch? Also, any word on what the new Cube recipe is?

Solo or in a group?

I reckon actual WW has to hit, NOT dust devils. Sort of unfortunate.

I say, this is a serious game, and efficiency matters more than fun!

This is one thing that is absolutely fucking ridiculous... Using one of these reagents should at LEAST grant you 5 crafts of an item.
