I just noticed Diablo appears to have 3 mouths and eyes (one of the latter which looks like his soulstone more) in the cinematic and the artwork...could it be that the 3 prime devils merged into Diablo's body?

Or perhaps an UNOFFICIAL announcement of D3? Or a new Diablo spin-off, like, an RTS or something, or a Diablo MMO...
EXACTLY. Which is all we need. Proof. An announcement is much more tangible proof, but since we have big hints on this game, and most likely some small hidden proof, then we can be optimistic about D3 being announced by mid-late 2008.
They did say a major product announcement in 2007, but they didn't say JUST one major product announcement in 2007. It's like saying "Oh yeah, I have a PC at home". I didn't say that I had just ONE single PC at home, but that I had a PC.
Considering that Blizzard is good at CGI, the fact that this planet looks cheaply done and unreal clearly shows it's fake. The voice job is BAD! Heck, we barely even see the Diablo logo, and from what I see, it looks ugly and more of an old version of the D1 or D2 logo. Blizzard does GOOD game logos. Music is from somewhere else, Blizzard logo at the beginning looks like the WoW Blizz intro. FAKE.
also to add to all of that, they said there were going to annouce 3 games in 2007, Starcraft so far(they said that they were going to announce a WOW expansion every year) so only left is WOW expansion or diablo/new game series...
3 games ANNOUNCED in 2007. (WoW:BC only CAME OUT in 2007, it was announced in like, 2005, I think) Only SC2 has been announced so far this year. That leaves 2 unannounced Blizzard games. There's 1 WoW expansion, of course. The one that's left is either Diablo or a new genre. But seeing that they worked on SC2, a game series of which SC: Ghost was cancelled and the original is almost 10 years old, why won't they make Diablo 3 now and instead concentrate on a new franchise? After D3, maybe, but before, why the heck? They can make so much money from their current fans!
And if Diablo 3 has an online MMO world (apart from it's singelplayer campaign), it would make the game so many times better than even WoW.
Blizzard is still working on 2 new unnanounced games. 1 is most likely a WoW expansion, and the other HAS to be Diablo 3.

I'm new, I'm not a Diablo fan nor even a player, but I'm a big SC fan and I come from SCLegacy.com, just thought I'd drop in to let you guys know that this game IS in the works and it's coming in the next 1 to 3 years. Blizzard couldn't be working on anything else, they're making a new SC game already, and another WoW expansion, and since WoW is so popular, forget a new Warcraft game. It has to be Diablo 3, couldn't be anything else. It'll probably be announced at Blizzcon 2007. Notice how they mentionned "beta keys for an UPCOMING Blizzard game". They didn't specify WHICH Blizzard game. If it were SC2, they'd announce it. It won't be SC2, and I doubt it will be an open beta like WC3 TFT was, since they're going to make this game alot faster than most Blizzard games (April 2008, anyone? For the 10 year anniversary of SC?), like they said, there will be no open beta invites or sign-ups. So it's most likely Diablo 3. They didn't beta test the first WoW expansion, and I doubt they will for the second too then. (In fact, I don't even think they open-beta tested the original WoW either) Oh, and SC2 is being worked on by a 40-member team with others from around Blizzard also helping with little bits.
Remember now, there was no hint of a new game being announced at WWI until 1 month before the event. 1 month before BlizzCon '07, we will probably get told by Blizz "oh yeah, we're announcing a new game there, and the beta keys are for that game, we just didn't mention it 'cause we didn't want to let you guys know that early that ANOTHER game was being developped by us, so you wouldn't freak out at us".
