    The group meta for leveling is different from the pushing one, since you will want fast/high gr, instead of just high gr. Bombard saders will a firm spot for this role while for pushing? not that much

    Of course it is, and Jade is even WORSE for speed rifting, since your damage needs to be bursty and constant. Jade is neither of those, mobs will usually have been dead before you get a second dot out.

    So many exaggerated qqs here too. "oohmmmm, They will never put me in team now that im not OP". Grow some fucking game and social skills and I am pretty sure you can find teams to push 90s even with freaking UE DH.

    Btw, HT Garg together with Gen monk are still being considered as the best dps for group play as far as we know. So as long you are not a prophet or holding secret informations about a super powerful build. WD spot looks pretty safe in your precious pub groups.

    Jade is not better, it suffers from big survivability issues. This nerf to RoE did nothing for WDs but ruin their chance of seeing party play.


    Gameplay will be the exact same as last season, no groups will want you and you will be stuck with the same GR you did last season due to zero new changes/items for your build. GZ

    Any time a class threatens to dethrone the Wiz in group play, the item is hotfixed right away - Same with Barb bracers and countless other items they hotfix the last minute.

    Instead of flat out removing it for pet builds, why not just nerf it to 200% or whatever. It's funny how the moment any class might dethrone the Wiz, the item get nerfed to the ground - Same with the old Barb bracers, they got hotfixed same day as the season was gonna go. Yet it was OK for Wiz to stack tornadoes in a corner with the Twister Sword for an entire season... OK.


    It's pretty obvious they intend group play to be centered around Harry Potter.

    In general, I do not understand this thread (and the many others). For the past few weeks people have complained that

    • Garg HT is too powerful and kills diversity
    • Double WD meta is boring
    • The garg playstyle is a bit passive because of the stupid pet AI
    • "Why can't Blizzard balance the game properly"

    And so on. Well, this change is perfect - Garg HT is now "back to normal" instead of being an absolutely OP build that dominates all other WD builds. It is still very powerful and viable (people cleared GR99 with it on S6 and GR101 on Era6 so please don't act like Garg HT without the RoE is useless). Jade has a pretty good chance, but also other WD builds and other classes's builds might become competitive.



    It's a good change, it's the best for the game, for diversity, and for a fun season. I do not see a single reason why anyone would be unhappy about this. Especially WDs.

    Really are you taking the piss? The other WD builds pales in comparison, even with the nerf. What's so bad about finally having a WD in the group meta that ISNT support? Why must it always be either Wiz or DH dominating the group play? The nerf to the ring was stupid because it was literally the ONLY THING that made WD group viable outside of support. Yay for yet another season purely soloing because I cba to support in 4 man any longer.

    Does it matter? Aren't you gonna compete against other Crusaders anyways? I know DPS mattered in groups, but with support builds pretty much dead, I doubt 4 man parties will see as much play and wont be as important. Pretty sure the highest Grift clears will come from solo play due to unity etc. The gain from being more players is gonna be pretty small with all the buff nerfs.
