I'm looking forward to everything! Blizzcon is like a gamer's holiday. There's events, news, the main show, the tournaments. I just wish i had the money one of these years to go there in person, it would be the event of a lifetime!
To say 1 thing looking forward to seeing is of course reveal of Diablo expansion or another unknown project! To finally have SOMETHING and be rid of all these rumors and anticipation of announcements is going to have me on edge of my seat this weekend! Can't wait!

yeah i agree, something this big that requires this kind of test must be coming, they do this kind of test on wow too, esp before xpacs. I dont remember exzactly but they did this around the time 2.0 or 2.1 came out i think, when that was the big patch change for ROS, etc.

some day they are just going to scrap firebirds altogether i swear. How many seasons has that set had issues? season 8 we will just expect it at this point and when its not bugged/broken we will complain!
Its the only set that has gone through so much changes, fixes, hotfixes its crazy. Its not even that complicated a mechanic, at least to the players, internally idk why they havent dug deeper to make it not have issues like it keeps having.

I have to agree, so far NONE of this stuff is anywhere near interesting, i mean some of it is but so limited and so random/not needed and we have a whole laundry list of other ways to explore class skills to make viable new builds..and we get this...i know its still early but from the way previous seasons patches went and are now here, they generally dont change a lot, so what we see here is mostly what we will get, minor tweaks aside
You really do have to wonder if they even read forums or get feedback, they seem to just do whatever they feel like or think is cool, there seriously hasnt been a time when i was like man that is awesome and that was from the community! good job!...its more like..."oh look set dungeons....*crickets chirping* like last season
Its awesome how much d3 has come from launch, and its still a good game, but every patch seems to be worse, or at least the same, nothing at all to be excited or even fun anymore, d3 seems pretty dead, and i dont program or know anything but to me it would seem d3 is probably blizzards least-technical game to update and develop for?
If you look at how complex wow is, and even sc2 and the ongoing hearthstone cards/expansions...d3 we cant even get item updates right, and those we do get, we dont want, and didnt ask for, and they are for the wrong reasons....what gives?

I love the free sets because it allows people to just hop in, and progress, it still takes a little time to get to the 3 requirements, not that long but just long enough to get you going in seasons, and now you have a set, not having to farm 20 hours to get it like before, so you are having fun..sooner...and how is that a bad thing?
It simply is a way to jump right in and start killing, vs farming for hours in hopes you get the set pieces, some are lucky...others not so much (I'm in the rng hates me group myself) and i think them rotating the sets this season is awesome because i really didn't care for shadow set for DH last season, i mean sure it was op as hell, and i liked the playstyle difference..but ehhh....Marauders with pets and turrets etc looks way more fun, and even a multi build with it (i used dark fiend set multi last season)
So i think they have achieved their goals, updated sets, balance, exciting new stuff, and not a lot of super big changes to seasons so that everyone can enjoy it, casual or not, they have done that and can only get better as we go.

awesome video, i agree with everything he said, quin is amazing, funny and insightful. That video of that monk with the new mog and build looks so insane, clearning entire screens like that, man i cant wait to be clearing that fast in s6 again, and it looks super fun to play too. looking forward to more videos as we get closer to s6 start.

going to have to agree here, i mained WD ever since vanilla, pretty much. I love dh and clearing speed is soooo much quicker when geared. I do like the WD setup with the chicken and what not, I've tried it but it does take some skill more so than DH multi build, i am maxed on gear on both toons this past season, my wd is full ancient, so i know pretty well both classes/builds.
I think from a clearing standpoint at least under 50 (I've never made it past 55 ish with any toon, never pushed myself was lazy) that multi fire is a beast for clearing entire rooms fast, plus all the natural speed of dh, and with vault, smoke, it just cruises. Where as WD you have to kinda set yourself up a little more, placing chicken bombs, and yes it can outrun a DH if done right but its not as easy as DH is where you just run and gun and i think personally i love the DH play-style of that build better, than the constant bomb and go of WD.
And as was said the chicken bomb doesn't scale as well pushing past 50, where DH multi will still melt pretty well 55+ from what i gather, i did really fine at 50-52 on my DH without pushing, and my WD with full ancient helltooth, zombie/firewall build pushed i think 56 before i retired him (started playing fallout 4....) so yeah i just think personally DH > WD for clearing, but obviously when skilled the WD just does just as good..i just didn't prefer that play-style, i tried to like it, just didn't appeal to me, and i wasnt very good at it as a result.
Either way i am super excited about s5, DH and WD are both going to be stupid op, and I'll be trying out Crusader as main, as i skipped Crusader season 4, but those new builds and videos I've been watching, Crusader looks to finally get some love in s5.
Monks and barbs same ol boring builds, a few new tricks and toys but those 2 feel like been there done that (to each their own)

Anyways i think the whole game is a wash from the start of vanilla, the entire item system has been broken/junk since the beginning, and although its gotten better, it still is so very lacking, in every way, from bad legs, to stats that dont scale, 2hand weapons, gems, no charms, no jewels, no depth at all, and class skills even now require little thought or skill to make, stack element, pick skills that do that element, profit?
They are still holding onto thorns damage, and have a few classes have thorns passives, and a thorns set even? I mean yes i guess its effective only if you make an entire build around it, but does it really add to the complexity or fun factor of a build? Its powerful, but it just seems silly to me somehow they could come up with way better stat/build possibilities than thorns
there are those oddball builds, but in all seriousness if you want to progress to t6 and be farming efficiently, none of those can get you there, if you just wasnt to mess around and enjoy the game, sure those builds can do that.
But when it comes to end game builds, that let you steamroll t6 once geared, there are only like maybe 1-2 per toon, most only have 1 really viable one, and a 2nd that is so-so, and while some classes it requires a ton of gear and tons of farming, others like the WD can go from fresh 70 to t6 in record time, and survive better than others, hiding behind pets and cruising along
+Add Charms, Runewords, Jewels, More Sockets (and a way to ADD a socket to an item via blacksmith?)
+Buff all legs that are just stat sticks, and fix stats like Wrath of the Black King, having 2% crit max roll? worthless?
+More ways to upgrade/enchant your gear, beyond just trading 1 stat for another
+More variety of items, Barb helms (was mentioned before) Make existing class items better, (Mighty Belts? worthless atm)
+give us the feeling that when a legendary drops you are excited to see it drop or what it is, rather than "oh look another 2hander free soul" x10
+more items and stuff that interacts with skills, maybe that's what jewels/runes/charms could do?
+Better Paragon system, more rewards at x level, bring back getting main stat/vit at each level up or maybe every 5 levels, maybe give us a baseline all resist that goes up as you level up? Increase the Crit to 10% instead of just 5%, same for AS and Crit damage, make CD +100%, make AS +10% make the lower paragons not feel like a black hole you are just feeding into to reach max, to get rewarded, and get nothing till then, what do you get at 200? 1 50/50 stat, and then 200 more levels just to get a 2nd? that's a lot of levels with nothing in between but nickel and dime progression
+tie in all resist to mainstat, esp for DH, would love to have 1k all resist just for having 10k dex, like wizard does for having 10k int? would make DH a bit more tougher, which they still need, the band-aid passive they gave us in 2.05 is meh
+fix dodge, block and armor to be aucutally useful and worth stacking and using other than crusader make paragon give more +armor per point so its useful, currently 50/50 in it still is so weak really, Dodge should be viable if u stack enough (monk/DH) make dex give you crit? tie more into the base stats
i could go on, long post is long...but yeah...so many people have suggested all of this so many times...someday maybe blizzard will aucutally listen like they say they do....

I had that problem with my crusader for a long time too, just couldnt get my dps up, no matter i tried, and i couldn't do crap, when they buffed them in 2.05 i was doing better, but still not clearing t3/t4 very well...THEN i found the build that changed everything, and went from doing ok, to an all-star breezing through t4, and clearing t5 fairly easily, it was wild, i went from 600k dps to 950 now, just by switching a few gear things, crafting some set items, getting max gems, and then building a +fire set, and now i am tearing it up, and not dying like hardly ever
I think i have yet to reach that point on my monk, i think its prob a build issue, i just haven't found the "key" build that matches my playstyle or how to be effective with my gear/stats
You know it when you find it, it was a huge difference for my crusader, and i did the same on my barb, went from doing "ok" to obliterating everything, just by finding the right build/element to stack, so i'm sure you will find your way, just have to keep trying things till it clicks together

still trying for a starmetal kurkuri though, 2 TF's, 2 SOH's, 4 unity, 4-5 soj's, 4 puzzle rings etc...no starmetal or wand of woh, seem to be the 2 rarest items int he game for how many 100's of hours i've farmed, across 3-4 toons, 10 hours+ a day some days...the search continues

its sad cuz u'd think with a lightning setup, with a fulminator, and a TF or something, and then with thundergods vigor, and all the +lightning stuff, still seems lightning is the weaker of the 2 builds, at least to me, maybe theroycrafted damage they are equal or closer, but in aucutal game time so far i think fire is a bit better, and i i've heard its way better once you get full earth set too
I like lightning better visually and roleplaying wise, its awesome to be a thundergod i'm holding onto my gear though, maybe in 2.1 i'll try lightning again

For barb, i tried out several 2 handers, it used to be equal and or more 2hander fronted, in d3v 2handers were good, and beastly, a perfect rolled skorn or maximus was a sight to behold
In order to get 2handers up to par hey would need to make the gems different, green gems are the only gem pretty much that goes in a weapon socket, i suggested that they make green gems maybe split them up, so if they are socketed in 1 handers, they give 130%, but if socketed in a 2hander gives say 200 or 250%, doubling it would be 260% and seems a bit excessive, because then people would think oh look at that 260% crit and flock to 2handers, even if its just doubling what u got from 2 1 handers
they could also make the critical damage % based on weapon or many other ways, of making other gems more desirable, maybe start combining gems, say a green and red, green gives 200% crit but it also has 10% damage (combine red and green) so now its somewhat more viable to run something other
There's a lot of cool 2handers, sad to say that i shard everything, even maximus and skorns, because they simply are sitting in my stash not getting used, i've gotten several really nice rolled skorns, but i just dont have a place for them atm, i've kept like 1 of everything, just in case though
also for barbs the fact they got the 2hander set axe, is sad cant really use it and be optimal, i like that axe and tried it out with a hammer build, it hits so hard, but lose so much dps, like 30%! its crazy...

There's a lot of legendaries out there that i would love to have in my builds, but the most common problem, is that they are the same item type, ie i found a grin reaper helm for my wd, and i got the helm that fires off poison dart from fetishes when you do, i like both helm effects but can only choose 1
How about they develop a feature, make it into an item or slot, where you can take a known legendary "effect" and copy it onto another item, like clone the effect onto something else, and use that effect
For example, i copy the fetish dart thing from the other helm onto a new item, maybe its a soul amulet or some kind of item maybe it sits in your bags, or you equip it, and it grants you the effect from another legendary
This could be for the next expansion, but imagine if you could somehow harness another legendary effect onto an item and grants that power, now granted for game balancing some stuff would be pretty op, but i think it would be neat to see some new builds or make some builds more viable if they could simply have 1 more "extra" effect
Maybe let said new system let you copy stats too or just the effect, and make it make sense by making the item require you to gather souls to charge it, like say you copy an effect to it, now you must gather souls from mobs to "charge" it or "power it" activate it whatever, the item itself being maybe craftable for a long process, like the hellfire ring, then you gotta charge it up, after copying a legendary effect onto it, and allow it to be "wiped clean" so can store a different one later, but cost a lot of mats or resources to do so
So you make said item (amulet, locket, soul jar, whatever) and then copy a legendary effect you have acquired on an item (sorta like how transmog remembers items, now game remembers all the effects) and then "imprint" the effect onto said item, giving you that effect for your characther
Imangine being able to have mask of jeram and tasker and theo, maybe you have a different gloves u want to use, but need the effect, imprint theo onto new item and now u free up a slot
once you copy the effect onto said new item, any other same effects or null, ie cant have 2 of the same, the cancel each other out
my idea is kinda rough, but hope there is something someone got out of this idea, just sharing what i was thinking today, be it a terrible idea or not

Also got the helm that makes your fetishes fire off poison dart when you do, thought about playing around with that one, but wouldnt be a viable build, just something for fun i guess, it rolled ok, not really great, so i'd lose some dps
Going to start trying for Tasker Theo's next

But after watching the video, i was like omg...i have to try this when the servers come back up today, that is pretty sick, i'll def have to play around with mine today, mine rolled pretty nice i just didnt know what to do with it, i didnt know the history behind it either, very nice.

Example: on my dh i run a lot of farming runs, hours on end, of all the rings and what not i get (i get tons of rings) almost all are dexterity, but i do still occasionally get a int one or str, specifically i did a bunch of act 1 bounties on normal last week, and my first ROTG (or whatever its called) was a str one, even though i was on my dh...i had to farm it again, 2nd one was also str, so i gave to my barb, 1st one to my crusader, so finally after doing act 4 bounty caches, for 2 days, i get my dex one for my dh...so unless that ring just rolls random mainstat...its odd
Once in awhile i'll get 2handers on my wizard with str or vice versa, like my crusader getting a dex mainstat etc...these dont occur very often, but its just weird they occur at all, not sure if the system is way complicated? or not complicated enough? Wouldn't it make logical sense, to just base it on mainstat of the toon you are on, therefore 100% always getting gear with that stat? why they allow even the 1-5% chance to roll other stats is just weird
Rather than turning off smartloot i think they could implement something else entirely, what if all legendaries dropped and had wizard int mainstat, ok so you drop into stash, and log on your barbarian, now that leg switches to str? I know you can swap mainstats with enchanting, but that in my opinion is a waste of a enchant, generally you want to enchant a socket or crit or something useful, mainstat on a weapon should just be a gurnateed thing
So basically instead of farming multiple versions of the same legendary, because you happened to get a dex cindercoat, but need said cindercoat on your wizard, sure currently you'd just have to farm another one on your wizard...but i kinda wish it was more swap friendly
The only downside is that you cant really swap +skill mods, for example, a int 2h weapon drops that you want on your crusader, but it also has +arcane orb damage, ok so if what i was saying, that when you log your crusader on and use that weapon, int automatically becomes str, but it would still have arcane orb, so pretty useless, although...there's always enchanting, so either way i guess you going to have to enchant any leg u find to make it fit the right character
some would argue that by making all gear shareable like that, cuts down gameplay because now you simply farm 1 perfect rolled item (ie cindercoat) and then just swap to a toon that needs it, on one hand its ease of convience, but it also means less farming, less random roll/chance that many people love to do, finding a dex cindercoat, on a dh that isnt even have a fire build, or finding a dex cindercoat and knowing u can just toss it over to your wizard, i like that idea, but its not without its drawbacks

Ok so my question is if an item (legendary) says 3 random properties, what 3 does it pull those from? for example, some items have specific stats they come with, and some just say 3 random props, does that mean it can roll pretty much anything?
The reason i ask is because there are leg helms for example that give specific stats like "1 of 13 possibles" and lists those specific 13, but it also has random 3 props as well, so i'm confused because if say crit damage is one of the 13, 1 of the 3 random rolls i still have can be say critical hit too? i'm trying to find the best setup of each legendary pertaining to builds and usefulness
Another example, my wizard, on my list of her gear i am focusing on ch/cc/as and stuff like loh/resist etc are optional, so i kinda have 2 sets of stats, 1 ideal (ch/cc/etc) and 1 standard (but still ok) like loh/resist etc, so like andariels a perfect roll would be either 6cc/7as/20fire or 7as/20fire/15 to skill since andy's can only roll 1 additional random prop, its either crit chance 6 or 15 to skill as being the true best 2 rolls? (best is subjective)
So for example if a mempo's twilight drops, if it rolls as of 7%, int, all resist, and then of the 3 random props, rolls ch, loh, and maybe vit? that would be perfect setup. or it could crap like thorns/xp/gf as your 3, and waste
Some items cant roll specific things, like the only helms that can roll elemental damage is andariels and storm crow right? andariels is 15-20 random and storm crow is lightning specifically 15-20...so back to my original question, what can items choose from, outside of specific stats, is there somewhere i can look to find a definite list of what "random props" are for each slot

If i grab my storm crow from my stash and put it in the slot i am able to view it, and mog it to OTHER helms, but i cant figure out how to mog my yellow helms to it, because its almost like certain helms are hidden, if i equip storm crow, several other legendary helms also appear in the list of available helms, some low level ones even, that i hadn't seen when mogging my helms normally
so whats the deal? is this normal. or a bug? how do i get my yellow helm to turn into storm crow? why aren't some of my helms showing? please if you can explain how it works, because i am stumped.

Also try boosting your paragon levels, this will help you overall, as you can fill in holes in your gear that is lacking, such as attack speed (the big one) crit damage and crit chance. Run speed is probably your best bet for getting around faster, always a good thing. For defense i always max out resist all, to help with any nasty elemental damage that elites throw at me.
Normal may seem easy and it is, but it surely isn't bad at all for loot, i have been farming on normal for hours today on my wizard and have found many upgrades, even legendaries. The key is to find areas you feel comfortable on farming and just get to it, go out and kill stuff. Also its best to do adventure mode, do bounties. Clear all 5 acts of bounties, open the caches, use your blood shards, even do rifts, they are still really awesome even on normal, and you can clear them faster.
There are a few areas on normal that can help you out, such as "Rumford at the gate" run, which is start Rumford at the gate quest, clear through everything, and all dungeons, to the wretched mother, drop her, and then if you want port out, leave game and repeat or continue on to do Dalton in the cave with leia, offers some loot chances there, then repeat.
Also clearing the Keep Depths floor 2 (or all 3 if u want, but 2 i guess is best) and clearing core of arreat too, those are good areas to clear for fast gear and xp, even on normal.
But try master, do some farming runs, you will have gear fast, just have to put in the time and effort, T1 isnt going anywhere, play and have fun
