I got a Ring of Emptyness (WD) on my demon hunter. I somehow feel as if the thing is bugged, never seen a non-class primal drop before

posted a message on New to D3, need help for a Class decision

All the classes are quickly leveled up once you have a character up to level 70, so make sure to try them all out.

From my experience, witch doctor has slightly more ways to play with pets as there are dogs, gargantuans and the little fetishes - but they are a bit harder to control (all you can do is summon them again to have them spawn near you), while the necromancer has an ability to focus his pets on whichever target he likes.

Swiper1994's concern about being oneshot as necro and being able to survive on the witch doctor are a bit exaggerated. With correct gear choices you should be able to survive just fine with either class. I would not recommend the crusader however, as his pet build is quite outdated and not really on par with any of the "currently played" builds.

EDIT: Oh and try to do the challenge rift every week, it lets you see how certain builds play out that you wouldn't have tried otherwise. And personally, I'm a huge fan of multishot demonhunter - usually with a pet wolf!

posted a message on What is the Easiest build to play ?

"Easiest" is a broad term. In terms of being able to be played with as few buttons as possible, I would recommend a multishot demonhunter (with the unhallowed essence set). Depending on the build and items, you can get by only using vault (for movement) and multishot with the occasional generator (but with enough gear, you won't really need that second focus/restraint stack)

posted a message on Arachyr's Big spider queen damage

I don't think there are a lot of options as the 2p is not directly considered to be part of the WD spider generator if I recall. You can of course still try and see what happens when you equip items such as Depth Diggers (Pants with up to100% more generator dmg), the Simplicity Strength gem for primary skills and the Spider Queen's Grasp ceremonial knife which should boost the damage of the generator spiders (but I don't think it will increase the dmg of the 2p spider significantly).

posted a message on New season & challenge rifts

There was a post in the german part of the diablo forum stating that you can only open challenge rift bags that were earned WHILE THE SEASON IS ACTIVE. I'm not sure if it means you can't have the bag from this week if you do the rift prior to the season start, so I'll be waiting for thursday.

However you certainly won't be able to open last weeks bag on your season characters.

EDIT: Here the link to an english blue post: https://us.battle.net/forums/en/d3/topic/20757677236#1

Apparently they might reset the challenge rift altogether with the season start?

posted a message on The Build Diversity Fix

isn't that basically what LoN already does? you just need ancient versions of it. I doubt it'd fix anything though, most "non-meta" legendaries have multipliers that are way too low compared to the high tier or percentage numbers for effects that barely tickle anything

I'll give you a hint, it's the second result :)

So you managed to find an out of date build that makes no mention if it's viable anymore in 2.5 or not?
Viable is in the eye of the beholder, and no you won't clear GR100+ with any non-"meta" build, but just because it's a build that isn't speficially made for 2.5 doesn't mean it's outdated - especially when the build uses items that have still the same effect. You could also just try them out yourself and improve them.
It's basically the only thing you can do, if you don't like archon, slow time, etc.

so, guys... We're talking defense here...

Did some testing and Tal 4 Piece doesnt seem to snapshot your defensive stats as well.

I would wonder if it works with APDs. I mean after all the Aether Walker build is kinda ok (but fishy... :P ) but that would be completely broken in some cases to be honest. If you enter Archon wiht 8 mobs stunned you're immune to dmg for your entire Archon duration? I doubt that (APDs %reduction stacks like that, so you need 8-9 mobs stunned for complete immunity to damage with a perfect 12% affix)

You can't get to a point where you are completely immune to damage from parthan defenders. Not sure exactly how the math works there, but it's not a "hit 8 and you're invincible" kinda thing - there's a lot of dimishing returns involved

posted a message on Archon teleport and slow time

it doesn't, but archon snapshots your stats when entering, so any damage reduce you have when activating archon will stay for the whole duration of it. It's why you see a lot of wizards on the leaderboard with aether walker and ancient parthan defenders, you can teleport into a group of enemies, force a lot of stunds (and thus damage reduction of the bracers) and keep that damage reduction for the archon.

posted a message on Season 9 Inicial Rush Guide (Questions and Tips)

I usually take the follower weapon, kill any boss bounty (kulle, magda, azmodan,.. on master IIRC) and then rift til 70. It can be worth a try especially in a 4man group to try and get cain/born, but I tend to level on my own, so the chance for 1 player to get the recipe is a bit lackluster.

Classwise, I feel that demon hunter and monks are strong due to their movement. Realistically tho, any class has its benefits and as long as you remember to craft new weapons at the break point levels, you should be really fine

posted a message on Mastering All The Set Dungeons - Build Guides, Videos, Rankings And Tips!

Considering all the set dungeons are on fixed maps, but with variable density/enemy spawns, you might get the perfect spawns for the hard dungeons and the worst for what are to be considered easy ones.

From my experience, Wastes, Rainment, Uliana, Jade Harvester and Helltooth were the ones I spent the most time (10-40 tries roughly, with Wastes and Uliana being the worst ones). All the others fell within 3-5 attempts - probably because I got lucky with the harder ones and rather unlucky with Helltooth.

That being said, whereever there is an immunity amulet, wearing it makes it ridiculously easy: I completed Uliana without the fire immunity amulet, redid it again to record a video for a friend again with the immunity amulet did it on the second try.

Something that will definitely help is pick a player and equip him with born's and cain's set that give a good boost to your xp and can be easily crafted from the blacksmith.

Borns (20% Exp) and Cains (50% Exp) on lvl 70 is scaled down to a 10th, meaning you get 2% and 5% more exp respectively which is generally not worth the loss of set items to make room for those sets

    3. A little more: Reach GR60 solo

    6. Gem of my Life: Level 3 legendary gems to lvl 55
    7. All I do is win: Finish 2 Conquests this season

This is incredibly stupid. Stash space is a necessity, not a reward.
Thanks for compiliting the list though.

You already got 5 stash tabs. No one forces you to get this one, there's already one more to be bought as S5 ships

posted a message on New player, first play through and I'm pretty sure I broke the game

Yes and no. The fact that you probably level slower and let's say less efficient than a player that has 1k+ hours into this game makes it so that your gear is a lot better than what a "fast" leveler would have at that point. It is normal to increase and decrease the difficulty that you play at depending on the gear you get.

As a reference, fresh lvl 60 chars used to have about 10k damage back in vanilla diablo, so the 3k that you have at 40 is significant. I'd suggest you increase the difficulty to Hard, Expert or Master and look where it puts you. Is it still way too low? go higher. Are they killing you? Go back down. I am pretty sure you should be able to play all difficulty levels except torment, so there should be more than just Normal and Hard?
