His torso is definitely pointing to the right of the screen and you can fully see his head, as it is looking towards the bottom and the horde of devilkin.
This would be a pretty crazy merc, though do see what newt_mcmac was saying about the weapon path of the monster, almost as he swung around from the top right in a counterclockwise path at the female, hence why it looks like she is sort of turning away to in attempt to avoid the hit.
The idea of many mercenaries is very exciting to me as well, with the differences in the classes, and the increase in monsters per area, it would be nice to have different options in a single act to help with certain portions.

I think that's a more likely date for starcraft 2, not d3. The only way I see it being dec 31st is if its 12/31/2011Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Ya, it prob wouldn't take them too much sweat to do them. It would be cool to see some background lore as well, plus it will give them something to update on the website so it's not the same thing every day when I check it.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
but, I'm just impatient and if I can get the game one day sooner, I want that to happen:D

I doubt they will make one for the two classes now, they have too much else to concentrate on, and honestly, to have a class trailer or a quicker release for the game... I choose quicker release:D.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
It would be cool if they had a class specific intro built into the game for when your starting a new char, though after the first time of seeing the trailer, I'm sure you would just click through it like everybody does now on D2 for the opening credits.

That's an interesting idea, and maybe with the added height, you can do more damage as it would be in real lifePosted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote fromI just recalled the armies of hell pouring out the arreat crater. Didn't somebody in D2 say something like this as well?
I figure that the hero's final battle will be at the destroyed arreat summit. As we journey towards it, it will be as the other two games have progressed, with the landscape becoming more dark and demented, full of more and more demons (though kurast wasn't especially dark and destroyed, and with the expansion, you go from hell back to the nature filled world on mt arreat).
Anyways, the game I think will progress towards the summit and the world will become more "apocalyptic" as the hero approaches.

well with the worldstone destroyed, the barrier between realms was removed so now angels and demons can cross into sanctuary right?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
If this is the case, then I believe we would be in the process of apocalypse, not post-apocalypse. I don't believe realm wide apocalypse was ever established in the first two games so unless a huge event occurs in beginning credits of the D3, then we would have to assume the we will be fighting to stop the apocalypse once again. This is bolstered even more by the look of the maps seen so far from blizzard in which nature still appears to thrive.
Anyways, with the angels and demons being able to cross into sanctuary, I feel that the major theme of the game will be the hero trying to battle through the masses of monsters while angels and demons are wreaking havoc on sanctuary, in essence creating an apocalypse.
If my initial assumption was incorrect, then sorry I don't know the lore, but this is what I understood the worldstone to be.
