Perhaps MP didn't, but Torment slider did. Why? What comes with the removal of item level is that You get pretty high chances of getting end game gear in T1. The point is that the current game makes it inefficient to farm higher tier torments. Why? Perhaps You have lower 'magic find' for legendaries but killing packs way faster makes it more profitable. And You basically can't die.

Yesterday my friend created a game on expert with his level 58 monk and it took me 15 minutes too boost him to 60. On our way I dropped 2 legendaries, 2 legendaries (one would be a BiS quiver if dex rolled a bit higher). Everything died before I had it in my sight. Why am I able to get upgrades, ha, I mean end game gear on expert? If the expansion will be the same with T1 it's a game for a few months or even weeks. After playing Diablo 2 Expasion Set for 7 straight years it doesn't seem any good.

I still hope the difficulty of this patch and the drop mechanics are just a marketing tool used by Blizzard.

First, I'd like to greet everyone on this forum, as I just registered (and stumbled upon some impossible captchas) to comment on this thread.

I agree with most of Your points. I think it was a real accomplishment on Blizz' part that the old Inferno was pretty much insane to beat (on HC of course). I remember watching Kripparian do it and literally shitting my pants. Man it was something. Tho the difficulty level was ok the game mechanic was pretty shitty and by which I mean drop mechanic/rate.

Today I hit 200k DPS with my HC, unbuffed Demon Hunter (and by the way 1.6mio toughness) all playing Torment 1 and getting lucky with some drops. I finished leveling the DH up 3-4 days ago. It's not fair, it's really not fair, I feel like I was doing heroic dungeons in WoW and getting basically highish tier items.

Shall they remove Torment slider on HC? Would it be a cure to a disease that will destroy this game sooner or later? Or perhaps limit legendary drops on Torment I-II? Because I don't expect any environment buffs from Blizzard.

Remember getting one shotted by the very first mob in Act 2 Inferno with a freshly leveled character? Now I just faceroll Torment 1 killing packs before they even spawn it's very first arcane beam. One could say we should play only T6 but with the very probable implementation of Ladder it will be unfair. Unfair as shit. Not to mention account wide paragons and whole set patterns. You die? No problem, get Your friend boost You to 60 in two hours, assign Your points and craft Yourself a shiny new set. HC? More like medium-core.

Anyway You made some good points, made me rethink some aspects of the current metagame. Looking forward to see Your stream. Cheers!
