Perhaps MP didn't, but Torment slider did. Why? What comes with the removal of item level is that You get pretty high chances of getting end game gear in T1. The point is that the current game makes it inefficient to farm higher tier torments. Why? Perhaps You have lower 'magic find' for legendaries but killing packs way faster makes it more profitable. And You basically can't die.
Yesterday my friend created a game on expert with his level 58 monk and it took me 15 minutes too boost him to 60. On our way I dropped 2 legendaries, 2 legendaries (one would be a BiS quiver if dex rolled a bit higher). Everything died before I had it in my sight. Why am I able to get upgrades, ha, I mean end game gear on expert? If the expansion will be the same with T1 it's a game for a few months or even weeks. After playing Diablo 2 Expasion Set for 7 straight years it doesn't seem any good.
I still hope the difficulty of this patch and the drop mechanics are just a marketing tool used by Blizzard.
