I agree that some of conquests are too hard... for someone who is only playing HC.But hey, some things need to be there to be extra hard.

At least I dont care much about them, I only cared about the extra stash space... which again for a casual HC only player is pretty much impossible... so I gave up.

I only play HC, and am pretty casual, only have about 160 hours for the season, and still managed to get stash space and get 3/6 for Guardian before i stopped playing for the season.
Nothing in HC season achivements were very hard IMO, outside of maybe getting the 6 different sets to beat GR55. luckily all four of my DH sets managed to do it easy

Is the change going to be retroactive, so if we have a really nice ancient one tugged away in our stash, then it's perfect - or are we going hunting for a new version of it?

    it is not retroactive.
the old ones will still say ###% of weapon damage, the new one says whirlwind now does ###% more damage

I'm a top 5 leaderboard player and would prefer to have fun group comps

    Quote from Chickenfingz»

I play season only and the point of removing perma cc was to eliminate pussy style play and to force each player to build their character with independent survivability. This does exactly the same thing as support/perma cc did. Forces you to bring a specific support class so that the others can just stack damage stats and pick 3 of the top dps. Nothing has changed

so i just want to point this out, is that you are stating that you want there to be diverse comps, and fun group comps, but bash on anyone who wants to play as a tank or a support.

posted a message on Barbarian Cube Affixes Theorycrafting

When i was on the PTR earlier, i dropped Cindercoat, Unity, and Furnace into the Cube.

Cindercoat only works for BK builds that run 10% Resource reduction on each weapon, along with on shoulders and gloves. at that point, you will no longer lose fury, and it can do to about torment 8.

For 6WW4IK, Thunder is probably going to be the way to go, running the new shoulders effect for fury regen, alongside either a furnace or Schaeffer's hammer with Unity or RoRG cubed.

I dont see why we would even be ABLE to cube a Furnace.

      • Extract Legendary Power - Archive of Tal Rasha

    • 1x Legendary Item with Special Power.

To me this reads like we will be able to extract effects, such as Calamity putting marked for death on mobs, Leorics crown giving better gem effects etc, it would be like cubing a SoJ and expecting the elite damage from that to be cubed, i really doubt it will work like that for any stat bonuses.

Furnace, IK Boulderbreakers ancients damage, Maximus fire damage but you could probably cube the demon effect that spawns, etc.

I wouldn't expect us to be able to cube straight stat boosts, only actual effects and procs.

Except for the fact that the elite damage on Furnace is a legendary affix whereas the elite damage on a SoJ is not, same for the other items you include.
What you will be able to store is the "Legendary affixes" on items, if you look at a legendary its the line that is in orange.

yes, its a legendary affix, not a legendary power.

Ive looked through the blue posts, but cant find anything about it, but I think its only the powers thats included, such as the maximus demon etc, not the normal affixes with higher rollrange like the furnace elite dmg.

We have no way to know yet, but I wouldnt expect affixes to be included

If it's in orange text, it's a legendary power, no if and or buts about it.

now, Sunkeeper, that has an affix of elite damage, but Furnace's is a Power. just look at the game guide. it, like every other legendary power in the game, is orange.

What would only affect seasons? The cube?

the fact that one player would have more legendary effects off the bat then another player.

I really hope the devs make it balanced so that we are not gimping our DPS too much by using other cubed weapon passives.

Also I salvaged the 1 Furnace I found after months of playing and don't know when I'll find another. lol

I feel you, they are indeed rare!

However, a blue post said you can only put items found AFTER the patch in the cube collection. So no need pre-patch hoarding!

Haven't seen a blue post for that, however I am 90% certain that is what they will do anyway, they have said in the past they don't want to create a culture of hoarding, not wanting a "just in case" player choice.

What you're doing right now is hoarding though. You're hoarding until the cube arrives. It will almost definitely be for new items only.

It would be unfair for new players or players that haven't played recently, since you'll have 95% of all bonuses in the game on day 1. None of that is good game design. I'd be quite surprised if Blizzard gives retroactivity on this, though I suppose it's not impossible.

not really though? since that really would only affect seasons, and seasons everyone starts fresh anyway.

I can't find a blue quote anywhere that says we can only cube new items.

I'm still hoping I can cube all the "cool but not enough item slots for it" items in my stash.

same. i have 4 bank alts and a completly full stash just waiting to be nuked to hell.

Well, without either a Boulder Breaker or the Bul Kathos weapons, you are at a slight disadvantage. if fury is an issue, run Windshear, or, get a reapers wrap so health orbs give you resource back.

replace beserker's rage with Weapon master as well.

No. Furnace will still be a big player in weapon choices/cube passives, but many other options will suite the expectedly high number of variant builds that will evolve quite quickly.

Off the top of my head; Monk with cubed Flying dragon passive and Little Rogue DW weapons. My mind is racing with options. This cube thing .....man, where the hell has it been for 3 years?

i think im going to use gyana-na-kashu just so i can shoot fireballs everywhere
