posted a message on The Hardcore Mantra-Less lightning monk. You could say I had an epiphany!
Nice build, but nothing really new here, I still think it's worth droping ciclone strike for a mantra when solo and drop LTK for a mantra when in a party. But seems like the main porpuse of the build would be mantra-less, so yeah... It makes much more sense if you have a full inna's set, but if it's not the case, I really don't feel like droping an OP mantra. Sorry if it sounds rude or something, nothing personal, I really love when ppl have dif ideas, but this is not the case.

posted a message on 2 one handers VS 1 two hander? The eternal question.
Quote fromGaidax» I actually have a real fun build based around 2h and 0 spirit generators.

Here is my profile (mind the enchanting bug):http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Zelas-2388/hero/23814014

I achieved 100% spirit sustain by combining Epiphany with 44% CDR, Circular Breathing and bridging the gap with my headpiece item and legacy SoJ with -5 LTK cost. With this setup I have all the spirit I need to spam LTK as my primary attack all the time and on top of that with my 2h I got 7SS:FO to 9 seconds CD - my gear is not amazing but 7SS does insane damage still - each attack out of 7 can crit for up to 14 millions damage, so you can imagine what it is to do it every 9 seconds. LTK itself being the other skill I use crits up to 8 million, which is pretty sweet too.

As for self-healing - I rely on Transcendence and my weapon's LPSS - I racked some nice +globes healing which buffs transcendece A LOT - I currently sit at 850 LPSS which clocks at around 22k HP returned per one LTK or 26k per 7SS and since I do not use generators at all, this means my EVERY attack heals me for those numbers. It also buffs Mantra of Healing shield which I can actually spam during Epiphany since Epiphany + Inner Sanctuary gives me more spirit than I can ever spend, which turns Epiphany into a damage reduction cooldown for me too on top of Sanctuary. As a matter of fact I got so much healing that I roll just fine in T2 with 220k HP.

Of course frequent 7SS immunity window and the fact that my pots and globes heal me for tons are also good things to consider.

Got still tons of gear to improve, drops were shit last couple of days.
wow thats an amazing build, love this kind of build, you broke the rules =) Very creative!

posted a message on A question about BIS gearing opinions:
Hey Netherfrost I would really apreciate a BiS guide not only the gear but what stats to look for in each piece for that lightning build or maybe a general guide (for all kinds of builds) would be more productive, but it's all up to you =). I really wanna improve my gear and stats to have best usage of each piece and what to enchant (or reforge) into, and I think all monks in the forum would love to have that info out there, since there is no where to find it atm.
I'm farming T4 with friends atm and I keep switching the LTK with Ciclone strike and I'm really loving it, saw some 12M crits on my LTKs.I've got around +120% lightning dmg, armory sucks, but I managed to reforge that andariel, the neck and the stone of jordan to do lightning dmg:

Really hope to get better and seems like information is our biggest weapon, ty for reading all this =) Peace!
Oh one more thing, 4inna works on the entire party, I had that on lvl60 2.0.

posted a message on 2 one handers VS 1 two hander? The eternal question.
Seems like it's common sense that using 2 one handers are best for monks, mostly because we want to hit faster to get more spirit bla bla bla.

But my main question is in terms of burst dps, what if we use a two hander for a build like this (it's just an example, we'r not talking about defense here):
    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/monk#bSZPTk!Vbci!cYbccY

Will it work? There will be plenty of spirit regen specially with the new "epiphany" skill. And in this type of build what matters the most is acctually the high damage of the weapon, crit, crit dmg, cd reduction and spi regen, not acctually the damage per second that shows up on the sheet that may mislead us all the time thinking that a two hander is never worth it.

And why we don't see much ppl going this way? Maybe people are too concern about the "damage" sheet on the character box and completely ignoring the possibilities, or maybe there is not a really good 2 hander for us monks to use.

I guess we will never be able to answer this question untill blizz let us use a dps metter... Maybe they have the tools to do so that's why we have Daibos with such appealing procs and stats >< waiting to be discovered and showed at diablofans frontpage build of the week.

Just sharing my eternal doubt with you guys, let me know what you think bout it, thanks for reading, untill then we keep swinging our 2 one handers thoughtless.

I guess the RoS trifecta will be called quadfecta, since the ele dmg are insanelly good now and we want all 4 of them att speed, crit, crit dmg AND ele dmg.

posted a message on Ele Damage question
Your question is very confuse, but if I've understood correctly you mean that you have a potential upgrade that makes you lose 10% on the tooltip, but it has 12% lightning dmg on it, and you also said that you have 3/4 skills that uses lightning.
Well you pretty much will do 10% less dmg on that single skill but you will also do 2% more (12% from the ele dmg -10% dmg lost) in the other 3 skills, seems pretty weak upgrade tbh.

But the question you have to ask yourself is losing 10% dmg on that skill worth the gain in 2% dmg on the other skills?
